Had a 7 day stay here in St Lucia. First the island is absolutely beautiful and the people are some of the best in the Caribbean. We love the people of the Caribbean and love how they are so friendly and welcoming. The Halcyon is a very quaint and easy going property. There are three Sandals properties on the island and you can use the amenities at all three, but I think we chose the right one to stay at. It had activities and a little bit of a party vibe around the main pool, but was quite and calm on the beach or at the other pool. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Most went out of their way to please you. I would highly recommend this property and will be back when I can.

Sandals Halcyon has the potential to be a true 5-star resort, and in many ways it already shines—but a few service issues held it back from being the perfect vacation for us. To start with the positives: The rooms are fantastic—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The pools are great, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the food is genuinely outstanding at every restaurant we tried. When the staff are nice, they are really nice, and those interactions absolutely made parts of our stay wonderful. However, the beginning of our trip wasn’t as enjoyable as it could have been due to a few staff members who were not friendly or welcoming. A small number of servers and, in particular, the night bartender were consistently rude—not just to us but to multiple guests we spoke with. This set a disappointing tone early on. Things did get better after a few days, but mostly because we learned which areas to avoid in order to steer clear of the poor service. I really hope management addresses this, especially the bartender in the evenings, because so many guests noticed the same issue. With consistently warm, friendly service, this resort would easily be 5 stars. On a brighter note, we highly recommend doing the boat excursion to the mud bath, waterfall, and snorkeling with Skittles, who you’ll find right on the beach—an amazing experience and absolutely worth it. We also visited the other Sandals properties. The Grand was lovely, and while we also checked out La Toc, we honestly felt Halcyon was nicer overall. Despite the service hiccups, we enjoyed our stay and truly believe Sandals Halcyon could be exceptional with just a bit more focus on consistent hospitality.

VITO & WILLARD were the best!! Arrival to Halcyon was smooth from the start, we were greeted by song, promptly booked our restaurant reservations for the week and showed to our Butler Elite Suite. Suite 119 was perfectly located on the East Side of the resort, close to the beach and main pool but just far enough away to not hear the music & events playing by the main pool. Everything was amazing from day one, our butler team was second to none! Food options were standard but had the perfect mix for us. Our room was clean and well maintained throughout our stay and the excursions were easy to book. The most important thing, we felt safe and fully relaxed knowing that we had help the entire time. Overall we stayed 3 nights at Halcyon(with visits to Grande) & 2 nights at La Toc. This location was perfect for us. Things to note: There is 1.5 hour trip by road from the airport to Sandals Halcyon, they provide transport but we booked private transportation. This is the smaller Sandals out of the three but by far the best from a service & relaxation standpoint. Book restaurant reservations immediately, whether at this location or any of the Sandals resorts at St. Lucia Lastly, book your spot at the beach every morning 🙂🏝️🍹

First sandals experience and first trip to St Lucia. Absolutely wonderful resort would definitely stay here again. Halcyon is a much smaller and quieter resort compared to the other two, so if you are looking for more of a secluded romantic vibe then Halcyon is the resort for you. It is also the smallest of the three which makes getting around the resort extremely easy, you are never more than a 3-5 minutes walk away from everything. Plus it has the advantage of being situated between the other two resorts which is great if you want to use the free shuttle service to check out the other sandals resorts. We had one of the cheaper rate rooms on the first floor overlooking the lagoon pool, but it was really clean and comfortable so I can't fault it. The majority of staff were really friendly and helpful and I felt well looked after for the duration of my stay. My wife and I both enjoyed the food, Kelly's Dockside did an amazing steak, and we ventured to both other resorts to make the most of all the restaurants Sandals has to offer on the island. I can also particularly recommend The Pitons at La Toc and Barefoot at the Grande. My only feedback on food was the timing of the breakfast service (as this doesn't properly start until 07:30) so it can be a bit tight on days when you are leaving early for excursions/diving. As for the pools, we preferred the lagoon pool which was very quiet and relaxing and flanked by beautiful plants and birds along both sides. The closeby honeymoon hideaway pool was great if you wanted a quieter pool with a swim-up bed and sun loungers. The sunset pool is the more lively one, also with a swim-up bar, and is where all of the resorts pool-based activities take place. If you like to lounge by the pool you will need to get up early to get a bed, but even when we did use the pools (we prefer to get out and explore) we still managed to usually find a bed or two. We both really enjoyed the watersports activities on offer and made the most of the scuba diving offered by the resort's dive centre. The dive boats were great although the diving does get busy, so be prepared for large groups and make sure you get booked in early, to make sure you don't miss out. Overall, I was very happy with my stay at Halcyon and would recommend it to anyone who wants a more quiet and relaxed sandals experience on St Lucia.

Our first time at Sandals Halycon and we weren't disappointed. We absolutely loved it. The people, food, service. The water activities are great. Our room was excellent with a well stocked mini bar. We had the crystal lagoon room with the pool right outside, amazing. The beach is small & lovely. We had a great time and can't wait to go back.
