Just back from a wonderful holiday at Anse Chastanet resort and we can't wait to go back! The first thing to know is that it is built on a hillside and very steep so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues, although they do offer shuttles around the resort from room to beach etc. The staff are amazing, using and remembering your names, which was impressive. The food is like fine dining every day. Delicious!! The place is absolutely beautiful with a lovely beach. Nice little touches made us feel important to the resort. Highly recommended.

My fiance and I had the most wonderful stay here. The location was fantastic with two beaches with more than ample space. The Hotel had a brilliant vibe with out feeling overcrowded at any stage. Our room was spectacular with the most special views of both the sunset and the pitons. Sharmaley ensured our stay was extra special in every way she was so welcoming and attentive through out our stay. Peter the GM was also very charming and exudes enthusiasm which was contagious.

We did not stay at the resort directly but rather at an affiliated property with direct access to the resort facilities, and the staff have been the friendliest we have met in St Lucia. the beach, food and drinks are excellent and the facilities + location are overall amazing. A big shout out also to Jonathan for being the most welcoming and helpful host you could wish for. Our stay would not have been the same without him! Many thanks!

The staff is wonderful esp the shuttle staff Orion and Roger. The location is great. Feels like a private secluded beach with tons of privacy. Some steep walkways and stairs but feels good afterwards to walk off drinks and food. There are some rooms without ac which was mine and I struggled as it was hot. If possible ask for an ac room as they have very few of them. I hate to say this but the food needs some more love.

Anse Chastanet is a beautiful resort with incredible views of the tropical greenery and the Caribbean Sea. The open-air design, where some rooms only have 3 walls and no A/C is meant to help guests reconnect with nature. It’s charming in theory but for longer stays like ours it wasn’t very practical. Even with five ceiling fans and four oscillating fans the nights were hot, sticky and noisy. The staff was one of the highlights of our trip. Most were incredibly pleasant, helpful, cheerful, and engaging – or at least ambivalent but never rude. Special shout-outs to Gifter, who was always there to help with a smile and lovely conversations; Chloe, who was a great fill-in waitress (we wish we’d had her behind the bar too!); Esther, who was consistently thoughtful and kind, and Janelle, Junior, and Sidney, who remembered us at the beach or bar after the first couple of days. And we can’t forget Parker who gave us the best drink tasting we’ve ever experienced – across countless wine, beer, and spirit tastings on three continents. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the island and the rums and tailored the tasting perfectly to each of our preferences was perfectly entertaining. The Thursday night Jazzy cruise was another highlight, thanks to Dylan’s entertaining saxophone and Lecia’s fantastic bartending both on the boat and at the Beach Bar. The “drive through volcano” excursion was somewhat interesting but really didn’t give much more than one could find online. While the guide was funny and informative, it’s not like you see a dramatic lava pit – more like bubbling mud and steam. Food was hit or miss. The Indian cuisine at the Beach Bar were the best meals we had on the island. However, dinner at Jade Mountain was very disappointing and didn’t justify the steep upcharge. Service was slow, and the “crispy eggplant” was anything but crispy. We found ourselves pouring our own water and lighting our own candle while nearby tables received the attentive service we expected at a place so highly rated. Portions were also noticeably small. Lastly, we were surprised that *All* breakfast options at the Treehouse other than the Petit Piton buffet were $40. Regardless of whether it was just a waffle or a full plate of eggs and bacon. Not a problem when you sign up for the all-inclusive package, but odd to pay VAT and mandatory 10% tip on a $40 plate of bacon and eggs. Overall, there were definite highlights, especially the wonderful staff, the fantastic rum tasting and the natural beauty and architecture of the resort. But the lack of air conditioning, uneven dining experiences and a few underwhelming excursions left us feeling the stay fell a bit short of the price.
