This visit took place between Friday, November 21, 2026 and November 26, 2026. Room 29578: Director’s Suite We just returned from 5 nights at Planet Hollywood and for the fourth year in a row we were blown away. The resort is great with many nice restaurants and some good vibes. We ate at Gusto twice (5 stars); East - Not Tepenyaki twice (5 stars); and Sunset Strip once (3 stars). When it comes to Gusto and East, I have yet to have a bad meal in four years and I’ve ordered many different plates. Order anything with confidence. Sunset Strip is always missing something. Either the steaks are unevenly cooked or the burger isn’t quite flavorful…nothing terrible, just misses the mark. However, the French onion soup, Caesar salad, and fried chorizo are always amazing. Room was great. Housekeeping was great. The best part by far is the staff. They were so helpful even when they are on their fifth 12-hour shift in a row. Adolfo at baggage is so welcoming upon check in and check out that he begins and ends your vacation with a smile and takes the stress away instantly. Our butlers, Robert and Fanny, always go above and beyond to make sure our needs are met, whether checking on us at the Star Class cabana or stopping by at dinner or making sure my kids get little candy treats or chips. They are quite literally a very integral part of our vacation. Edgar, the head wine sommelier, always makes sure our dinner reservations were booked, and even table decorated, and that our wines are chilled and ready when we sit. He is top notch. Lili and Lucia were our Star Class cabana servers and Marco and Ray were our pool concierges and were AMAZING to make sure we enjoyed spending the day relaxing at our cabana. They made sure we were warmly welcomed with great service and all made sure we were never without a drink or a slice of fruit or more towels or whatever else to ensure we were happy. Those people can make or break a vacation and they MADE ours. TL; DR - The property is beautiful and the food is amazing, but the staff is really what makes this place special.

Worst ever experience with Marriott Hotel chain. I would give them negative Star if this was possible. After looking at their Room pics and review on Chase Portal, we booked 3 rooms for 7 nights to celebrate our parents anniversary and enjoy family vacation. Moment we walked in to our room we found out they all were filthy and felt never cleaned. 1st room had mold in bathroom and on bedroom ceiling. Floor was gross and had stains all over room. Bed was super damp like someone had spilled water on it 2nd room same story, very unhygienic 3rd room fan not working electrical issues. Staff: When we complained to front desk, front desk lady was very rude and asked us she can not do anything about it. We went to another person in Concierge desk and he listed to our issues and said he will arrange room change next day but can not do anything about it today. Imagine you have 3 year old kid and 70+ year old parents living in this filthy unhygienic room. Icing on cake they just called us at 11:30 pm about our complaint to see if someone can come have a look at AC problem and cleaning duct. Are they freaking out of their mind? It's ridiculous. I will wait till tomorrow morning for resolution. Can not imagine I gave them money for 7 nights if I do not get resolution, will take matter to their corporate and have them delisted at Chase and Capital One portal. Marriott you can do better at least stand for what you are known for Waiting for urgent resolution to this matter in next 8 hours if u can not resolve, I will take this matter higher up in Chain

We have had the most incredible experience at Planet Hollywood Cancun while here for my sister’s wedding, which took place yesterday. It has truly been such a special and memorable trip for our entire family. From the moment we arrived, everything has felt warm, welcoming, and so well organized. The resort is absolutely beautiful and the energy is the perfect mix of celebration and relaxation. Every staff member we have interacted with has been kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The wedding venue was stunning and looked like something straight out of a dream. Watching such an important moment in our family take place in such a beautiful setting made it even more meaningful. One of the biggest highlights for us was the food. We had lunch at Sutra, where the team prepared Indian vegetarian dishes catered to our Hindu wedding needs. On top of everything else, the weather has been perfect, making the entire experience even better. Planet Hollywood Cancun went above and beyond for us, and we will forever be grateful for the memories created here. We will be recommending this resort to everyone we know and would love to return one day. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Beautiful resort. Lots to do and places to eat. Enjoying the swim out room that gives us a bit of peace to still enjoy the weather and scenery. The food was disappointing though. Most things were surprisingly bland or just poor quality. The sushi restaurant took 20min to get anything. They brought out one person's food, then 2 people's sides, then some of our main dishes, but many of us did not get all we ordered. The long wait and the disatisfying taste and quality of everything made us walk out. Room service was okay. Not really many options like other resorts. The room was decent, but there were constant gnats and flies, like the ones you see where there is a lot of moisture and mildew. There were a few spots like that mostly in the bathroom. The spa was amazing! We walked in and made our appointment and the price was almost 50% less than what was posted. Overall, it was a decent stay, thus the 4 star rating. But because of the food alone, I wouldn't come back here.

We stayed at Planet Hollywood Cancun, and overall it was a decent experience. The resort is very clean and well maintained, which we really appreciated. The food and drinks were okay, though not exceptional. The highlight, however, was Osmar at the Twist Social Bar — he made the best drinks by far and really stood out with his service and personality! The mosquito situation was terrible, especially in the evenings, so definitely bring repellent. I also felt the resort could use more fun activities and entertainment around the pool areas to keep the energy up during the day. Overall, a clean and comfortable resort with some room for improvement — and if you go, make sure to grab a drink from Osmar!
