The good stuff, the property is gorgeous, it is Cancun. The beach has the smoothest sand and perfect tiny waves that anyone can handle. The resort is pretty big and gives lots of room to explore, with different activities for all types of people, although there is not much of an adult themed activities calendar to be honest, other than some music in the adult scene pool. But don't expect cocktail classes or get to know you opportunities outside of the one small pool bar. Now the not do great, aka bad. And I'm not one to expect a lot, everyone is just trying to do their best in life....but... The tone of the service was the worst. The front desk did nothing on checkin other than tell me all the way I could get charged. They did not tell me where my room is or how to get there, I brought my own luggage to my room. There was no map provided, only the link to download an app which was fully down, not working, and when I asked about it they said just go left, you'll find your room. Them because the app was done I couldn't make reservations... I get it, so I went to the front desk to ask for help and they said they couldn't do anything to help, and I couldn't get a reservation anyway so just go to the buffet. When I asked really? They said well you could just try walking up to a spot and asking if there was a cancellation. Again so dismissive and unhelpful. As a solo traveler just looking to sit on the beach and read, maybe hang out at the pool and have fun with other guests, this place was just off the mark. The waiters and cleaning staff were all friendly and did their best but it's like bad management or something... I never felt like staff cared at all, even when my van picks up was late and I asked if they could check, they said you call on the number.... It's the van company planet Hollywood has linked on their sites... So one last disappointment

We have had the most incredible experience at Planet Hollywood Cancun while here for my sister’s wedding, which took place yesterday. It has truly been such a special and memorable trip for our entire family. From the moment we arrived, everything has felt warm, welcoming, and so well organized. The resort is absolutely beautiful and the energy is the perfect mix of celebration and relaxation. Every staff member we have interacted with has been kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The wedding venue was stunning and looked like something straight out of a dream. Watching such an important moment in our family take place in such a beautiful setting made it even more meaningful. One of the biggest highlights for us was the food. We had lunch at Sutra, where the team prepared Indian vegetarian dishes catered to our Hindu wedding needs. On top of everything else, the weather has been perfect, making the entire experience even better. Planet Hollywood Cancun went above and beyond for us, and we will forever be grateful for the memories created here. We will be recommending this resort to everyone we know and would love to return one day. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Beautiful resort. Lots to do and places to eat. Enjoying the swim out room that gives us a bit of peace to still enjoy the weather and scenery. The food was disappointing though. Most things were surprisingly bland or just poor quality. The sushi restaurant took 20min to get anything. They brought out one person's food, then 2 people's sides, then some of our main dishes, but many of us did not get all we ordered. The long wait and the disatisfying taste and quality of everything made us walk out. Room service was okay. Not really many options like other resorts. The room was decent, but there were constant gnats and flies, like the ones you see where there is a lot of moisture and mildew. There were a few spots like that mostly in the bathroom. The spa was amazing! We walked in and made our appointment and the price was almost 50% less than what was posted. Overall, it was a decent stay, thus the 4 star rating. But because of the food alone, I wouldn't come back here.

We stayed at Planet Hollywood Cancun, and overall it was a decent experience. The resort is very clean and well maintained, which we really appreciated. The food and drinks were okay, though not exceptional. The highlight, however, was Osmar at the Twist Social Bar — he made the best drinks by far and really stood out with his service and personality! The mosquito situation was terrible, especially in the evenings, so definitely bring repellent. I also felt the resort could use more fun activities and entertainment around the pool areas to keep the energy up during the day. Overall, a clean and comfortable resort with some room for improvement — and if you go, make sure to grab a drink from Osmar!

The resort is great with many nice restaurants and some good shopping options. The best part by far is the staff. They were so helpful even when we were tired and cranky. They were so kind to my wife with her dietary restrictions and really made the whole trip. Specifically we had a great experience in the shores restaurant and Gusto the Italian restaurant. Moises and Myra bent over backwards to support us and they made our trip so much better! They are both amazing. They made sure my wife had bananas and gluten free pancakes so that she could enjoy breakfast every morning.we are very grateful to have them.
