The resort lobby was nice and clean. Loved it decorated for the holidays. Plenty of seating to wait for your room, a ride or to meet with family. We were welcomed with refreshments and our luggage was handled by valet right away. Con was the sales people near the front doors every time we'd walk by. I wasn't expecting the room's doors to be outside. It was quite a walk with luggage to get to our room, thankfully the weather was good. It was sometimes noisy to things in the parking lot. However the views of the pool was nice and the room was overall very clean. The room was were bright and beachy with lots of natural light. We liked having the ability to sit on the balcony and having patio chairs. Bar fridge is included to fill with your own things. Con was not having a shower door, it was open so it got cold easily. The resort's pools were very nice. You have a view of the lake in the distance. There's chairs both on a sandy beach and near the pool, cabanas to rent and a outdoor bar nearby for drinks. The walk in pool was great for kids and was 3 feet. You can also order food for by the pool too. We enjoyed sitting by the pool the most. The music was tropical, on point to the Margaritaville theme. There was also a splash pad playground, but we didn't get to check it out. Overall, very kid friendly. Location was great. Plenty of parking. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Some walkable. The waterpark was closed at this time of the year (Dec) and is also walking distance.

I stayed here recently with my mom and our family. Very clean resort and full of amenities. We had a 2 queen room that overlooked the main pool with a beautiful balcony. Beds are comfy, but a little high up. We definitely plan on coming back! The whole atmosphere was perfect. As a life long parrothead, having seen Jimmy Buffett many times. You guys really captured the aesthetic of everything. I'd also like to mention Landry who checked us in. Even though it was late, he still made sure we knew everything we needed to know before heading to the room. 10/10 service! Amazing staff all around!

Pros: Location in relation to Disney is great. Cottages are great if traveling with family. We rented a 3 bedroom and we had enough space for everyone. Back deck area was really nice with patio furniture and a small sandy beach. The valet handled the stroller rental for Disney flawlessly. Cons: No bathtubs for little kids. Our cottage we rented had some sort of adhesive stuck to the main living space tile. The downstairs shower head was no longer fixed to the shower wall. The bed that we had was extremely soft/sunken in. Coffee machine did not have filters so we had to run out and buy them.

The good, hotel is nice, somewhat clean, room had a nice view of the pools and lake. Staff is all generally nice. The bad, beds are not good, I had a back ache all day after sleep. Water in the shower has no pressure and is only luke warm. Checking in took them 4 hours because no rooms were ready at 2:30 when we arrived. They tried to make up for it with gift vouchers, so that part was good. There is 20% gratuity added to every single purchase no matter how good or bad the service is. The plaza next door which is in the resort charges a 1% resort fee at each restaurant even though the resort itself already charges a $50 a day resort fee which is ridiculous. What do you get? Free self parking, pools (which most hotels have already). Over priced breakfast, overpriced drinks. We booked a room with a king bed attached to a living room. Being an Amex Platinum member they sometimes with give you an upgrade, they actually gave us a downgrade, but did give us an extra room at no charge. Lock in the room didn't work and an elevator was out of service. We will be choosing a different hotel in the Amex collection next time.

Margaritaville Resort was a fun place to stay in Orlando. Place was festive and music was entertaining. We got 2 rooms w balcony and both were renovated. Room was stocked with coffee/tea and had a mini fridge. From the balcony you could hear music playing by the pool. It’s close to Disney and you can walk to various restaurants and shops. We dined at the main restaurant and Provision. Breakfast burrito and smoothie (esp green juice) were so good! We did not get to use the pool since we had to leave to the theme park early but it looked great. They have shuttles to theme parks (need reservations 24 hrs prior) Overall it was a good resort.
