I had high expectations for Margaritaville Orlando Resort, but unfortunately, my stay was far from relaxing or enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, the front desk agents were unhelpful and seemed annoyed by even basic questions. Their attitude set a poor tone for the rest of the trip. Room service was practically nonexistent our room was skipped entirely, and we had to visit the front desk multiple times just to request basic things like towels and toiletries. Not only is that inconvenient, but for a resort that markets itself as high-end, it's completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, discounts that were promised at booking were never applied to our account. When we brought it up, the staff gave us the runaround and ultimately didn’t fix the issue. On top of that, there was a serious lack of activities available at the resort. For the price we paid, I expected far more. It felt more like a ghost town than a vacation destination. Between the poor service, missing amenities, and billing issues, it’s hard to justify the steep cost. Definitely not worth the money, and I won’t be returning. There are far better options in the Orlando area.

Was very thrilled with my experience at the hotel. Checking in was a breeze. The location is so convenient with restaurants, shops, ice cream right across the way, walking distance. The hotel rooms were clean, the pool was awesome. We did breakfast in the restaurant and the food was fantastic! I would say my experience with kids was a great time. Would recommend this place to stay!

My experience was good up into the check out process. But first, I will start from the beginning, we arrived Friday evening and the front desk receptionist was helpful. He was quick and efficient when it came to checking in to our room and also gave us a map of the resort to help us get around. I cannot remember his name but he was of great help. The room itself we stayed in was on second floor (in front of the pool) and it was good although it could have been better. I want to start that when I went to use the toilet, there were a few streaks in the siphon jet hole. So that was unpleasant to see. I was already exhausted from driving, so I let it be because most likely there would have been no more rooms since the resort was packed and I had booked that specific room which was the only availability for the weekend. When it came to using the closet, one of the sliding doors was stuck and unable to move it out of the way so it wasn’t much of use. The next day (Saturday) we started our day and like every morning my husband makes his coffee. When he went to use the coffee maker (provided in the room) he was disappointed to see there was only cups and the coffee to make it but no sugar or cream packets (mind you most resorts do provide that in rooms). We then proceeded to have breakfast at the Euphoria restaurant (there at the resort) and it was great although there was a long wait for our breakfast (we were starving) however our waiter was Carlos and he was phenomenal with the service checking in on us ever so often. We then went to the Fins pool because we rented a cabana and everything was great there. My husband, child and I enjoyed it, we felt very relaxed. I want to shout out Ana the server from the Salty Rim Bar & Grill she was so helpful and nice with a great attitude! She went around checking in on us for drinks and so quick with bringing them to us. Overall everything was a great experience at the pool. On Sunday, time to check out I had selected the “Do Not Disturb” light for our room and the housekeeping still proceeded to knock which defeated the purpose of the “Do Not Disturb” feature. We were exhausted from the previous day so we wanted to sleep in til it was time to check out. Now this is the unpleasant part that led me to leave a 2 star review. When it came to check out I was waiting in line at another reception desk and my husband signaled there was a lady that could check us out. We approached the lady and immediately started to ask the room number. She started speaking Spanish (which you should not automatically assume someone speaks Spanish). I told her the number and she proceeds to ask “Donde te mando la factura?” I am not very fluent in some of my Spanish and I continued to ask “The what? The Invoice?” She obviously saw the confusion on my face and the moment I turned around to ask my husband what exactly she was asking she shakes her head with such attitude and snaps “THE BILL.” I’m like “yeah email is fine.” I was so shook at her response that I was still processing what was going on. I saw her name tag and her name is Maria, I’m not quite sure if she’s Venezuelan because she had it on the bottom of her name, ASSUMING representing where she’s from. I carried on to leave but that was a very poor experience especially from a receptionist that should have exceptional interpersonal skills!

The cottages were nice and spacious. However, be careful about leaving your belongings. I left my expensive watch out that belonged to my mother that passed away, and when I called the front desk and asked about it, no one ever called me back and my watch was probably sold to some pawn shop. Called the front desk for weeks and no one ever answered again to talk to me after the first interaction and no one ever returned my phone calls. We won't ever be coming back here because of this dishonesty. Housekeepers shouldn't be allowed to steal from customers. I'll never get back this priceless heirloom because someone is greedy and my heart is broken over it. Disappointing to see other reviews of people that have gotten things stolen from here as well. DON'T STAY HERE IF YOU'RE GOING TO LEAVE ANYTHING NICE OUT THAT CAN FIT IN A HOUSEKEEPER'S POCKET. Side note: I found fleas in my upstairs room. Probably from the pet of a previous guest, but worth mentioning. I know Management will look at this, so the reservation was under John Zawlocki.

Great place for families that also has puppy park on-site. The hotel room is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The cottage is spacious, clean, functional, every room has it's private bathroom (no powder room for visitors), fully equipped kitchen and good size pantry. Also, the cottage that we stayed had a small private pool (fenced and some trees for privacy). The 2 story cottage was a hit for our occasion but I can't give 5 stars. Customer service failed me, they gave us the keys after checking time (we had requested early check-in), they gave us a cottage that already had occupants, never answered the customer service phone number, gave us a different cottage not equal to what we expected and they didn't even say sorry for the inconvenience. Overall is a good place for families, will recommend to friends and family. I recommend to arrive early and be happy, don't let little things ruined your wonderful family quality time.
