Edit: according to other reviews, The pool heater has been broken for months. Update your website or stop taking “resort fees” when your amenities are not usable or refund the resort fees. Hotel was fine but we booked here because the pool was advertised as heated which it is NOT! We are from Canada so used to cold but the facilities were unusable- felt like a cold plunge. If weather is cold, we still enjoy heated pools which was our plan. Also, wifi did not work in our room which was not a big deal for us but could be for some. Resort fees should be refunded when you cannot use them because wrongly advertised. Rooms are huge- old and dated but clean. Beds very comfortable.

I had a great time here and it was better than I expected for the price I paid. This budget hotel was better than the Daytona Best Western we stayed in. The two queen beds had 4 pillows each, the AC worked and the room was clean. The woman at the front desk was polite, and the shop was open really late. It had both novelty Disney items for sale as well as essentials, like acid reducer when I had late night heartburn. I also liked that there was a water bottle refiller at the water fountain next to the elevators. I had no issues here. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Orlando.

DON’T stay in room 7109! We stayed for 4 nights and unfortunately the entire hotel was booked so we couldn’t change rooms. We thought room 7109 was in a great location because it’s right beside the parking lot and on the ground floor…but it’s also right in front of the elevators as well. When we arrived to check-in, there was a woman who was trying to sneak/break into the hotel! They had called the police on her, but it made me super nervous while unloading my kids and belongings. It didn’t help that they want guests to park in the very back parking lot. It has light poles but none were turned on, so you’re parking and walking around in a pitch black parking lot! Every night, multiple time a night, I was waking up to VERY LOUD groups of people who had either just checked in or were returning from whatever local attraction they had been at, and they were EXTREMELY LOUD while waiting on the elevators to take them up to their floors. Saturday night one dude in the group was being immature and loudly barking like a dog! SMH. The front desk wasn’t much help either. I asked if they could inform the remaining check-ins to please be quiet in the hallways or have their “security” guy escort/guide the group to the elevator (just to have his presence keep things in check). Instead of offering a solution or being understanding, the front desk woman’s just responds “we don’t do that”. Lastly, the “heated lazy river” that they advertise online, it’s NOT heated. The pool and the lazy river were both freezing cold and nobody was swimming in them. We wanted to relax in the hot tub, but of course it was broken too and couldn’t make enough bubbles to even agitate the water lol. PS. The WI-FI sucks too! I couldn’t stay connected for longer than a few seconds, so we ended up using all of our hotspot data. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

I can’t believe the people saying the hotel is clean. This is the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever been to. The staff was great which is why I gave the extra star. There are no drawers nor closet. Only an IKEA quality cabinet that serves as a makeshift closet. The hot water was great the first day, then Luke warm at best the following days. The battery on my key pad died which caused me to get locked out for a couple hours. (The front desk staff was super helpful, but I don’t understand how they don’t do regular maintenance to ensure this doesn’t happen.

Our stay at the Red Lion Hotel had both positive and negative aspects. On the positive side, the room was quite spacious, well organized, and mostly clean. The hotel also has a very good and convenient location. Although breakfast was not included, it was decent—standard but good. Unfortunately, there were some cleanliness issues. The carpets were visibly dirty, and the room we booked included a king bed with a sofa bed. When we opened the sofa bed, it had no sheets, was unfolded, and had food crumbs everywhere, along with an empty drink bottle. My husband went down to the front desk to report the situation. The only options offered were to change rooms or to be given sheets so we could make the bed ourselves. We chose not to change rooms because we were traveling with two small children and one of them was already asleep. We had planned to use the sofa bed, but due to how dirty it was, we couldn’t. What disappointed us the most was that no discount or compensation was offered. We felt that we paid for a service and only received part of what we paid for. In conclusion, while the location and room size were definite positives, the cleanliness and customer service did not meet our expectations.
