We booked 2- 2 bedroom room. We were given 4-1 bedroom lock out rooms. That was no problem. We brought friends that were in 2 of the rooms and me, my husband and 2 boys were in the other 2. The a/c in one of our rooms was not working. We checked in on Saturday. The a/c could not be looked at until Monday (record breaking temps in FL right now). They offered to move us to a one bedroom. We can't leave our boys alone in a room and a 1 bedroom is not big enough nor is it what we paid for. They suggested we find another option and try to get transferred to another resort. They were unwilling to help with anything except a 1 bedroom. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR FAMILIES THAT PAY GOOD MONEY TO STAY HERE.

Overall great experience! The rooms were clean, and we had no issues. The furniture is a tad outdated. But everything worked well. Their kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and appliances! I appreciated that! Our unit was upgraded before we arrived, and then upgraded again because the elevator was down in our building. The amenities were great, we only used the pool one night and watched the movie. It rained all other nights! It’s a great location around the corner from walmart, outlets, food, and 10-30 minute commute to attractions.

We stayed here for 3 nights over the 4th of July weekend. Our experience was positive. Big clean rooms and nice kitchen to prepare meals. It was nice having two television sets and laundry. Beware there is a guy that works there who promotes for Capital Vacations Timeshare. You will be convinced to attend a presentation to buy a timeshare and offered $150 check card and a week's stay at one of their locations. We attended this presentation with an open mind and were verbally assaulted by the sales staff when we said we weren't interested in the huge price tag on the timeshare. We were with our two young children and when we tried to leave, they blocked us and belittled my wife being Asian and saying we took advantage of them. We eventually left after 4 different salespeople approached us. We ended up getting the check card and to our surprise it worked. We'll have to wait and see what happens with the free vacation stay. After this nightmare though we went back to the pool and continued to enjoy our stay.

We were relocated to this resort due to the overbooking at our hotel. We stayed 5 nights and it was fine. The room was outdated but was clean. We had a short walk to the pool behind the club house which was nice. Close enough groceries stores, restaurants, and stores. My only complaint was that after we used the jetted tub and the water was gone, black stuff was left behind and we had to clean the tub every time.

I booked this resort for a 1 night stay while in Orlando for my girlfriend’s birthday while visiting Volcano Bay for the first time. I loved the location and everything close by for food, drinks, and activities! We had an amazing time. The room was great! Huge room with all the amenities you could want. The property and room was very clean and safe. The pool was very fun and enjoyed the property grounds. Very impressed with Calypso Cay and will recommend to friends and family! 10/10 Rating WOULD RECOMMEND!!!
