Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista - Disney Springs Area

I stay at this hotel whenever I'm in the Orlando area. It is convenient to Disney Springs, it is clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. That is until my visit last week. I stayed for 2 nights and accidentally left some papers and cash in the safe. I forgot to remove these items prior to leaving. I did have the safe open to retrieve my laptop but forgot to remove the rest of my stuff. I take responsibility for my forgetfulness but I'm extremely disappointed in the dishonesty of the cleaning crew. When I called after leaving the hotel I was told that the room was not occupied yet and that they would send security up to check the safe. They called back and said the room was clean but there was nothing in the safe. Since nobody else had entered the room the cleaning staff must have taken these items, particularly the $700 in cash. Very disappointing. Other than this, I do like this hotel. If your staying here, just be sure to not leave anything behind. Again, this is my fault but an honest staff would of resulted in me getting my belongings back. I will chaulk this one up to being a very expensive stay. I do hope that Hilton at least investigates this and questions the staff but so far I have not hear back from them after emailing them.

Stayed at the property over Memorial Day weekend, Crystal checked me in. She is the nicest and sweetest front desk agent, she upgraded my room and even send champagne bottle to my room because it was my birthday. We stayed at the property for 5 nights. Housekeeping did room service every day. Hotel provides shuttle to Disney parks, coffee and water. Restaurant on the first floor had pretty good food, market also had a lot of options for quick breakfast. Rooms need to be renovated but overall we had a great time! Kids loved it, we would definitely stay there again. Hotel employees were all super nice especially Front desk and bell man.

I have stayed at this location several times for business travel. -Location: Top notch location right next to Disney Springs with walkway over the roadway. This is one of the best located hotels in the area. -Service: I often stay in Hilton hotels for business travel and have never been denied check in at 1-2 pm based on strict policy at any other Hilton hotel. Also expect numerous additional fees beyond what are expected at check in. Parking and resort fee made this hotel cost the same as a Disney Value/Moderate resort at the end of the day despite limited amenities justifying the resort fee other than the pool. The resort fee gets you a few waters and coffee. -Rooms: Rooms did not exceed expectations but were clean. TL;DR: I would stay here if you get a very good rate due to access to Disney Springs but keep in mind that you’re actually paying a lot more per night than the sticker price through hidden fees. I would much prefer staying in a nearby Disney resort with better park transportation and amenities based on this.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful resort. The resort is a 10 minute walk to Disney Springs. The service at the site was impeccable. Especially the resorts Guest Ambassador, Shirl Mendoza. She was extremely helpful in providing with insights on how to purchase a vacation package. Because of her hospitality and warming personality, we purchased a future vacation package and we will be returning in the next 90 days. All in all, this was a great vacation! Thank you Hilton and Shirl.

We chose this location for the proximity to Disney Springs. We wanted to be able to park our car and walk across the pedestrian bridge to Disney Springs. We stayed here last year around this same time and while we agreed that the property was a little tired we decided to stay here again in hope that some upgrades had been made. We were sorely disappointed to find that nothing had changed and looks like it has continued to go down hill. When I was on my way down to get coffee and a muffin I shared the elevator with a family of 5 or 6 that piled in with their luggage. When I asked them if their vacation was over already, Mom said sourly “No, we are moving hotels”. Dad did not say a word as he scrolled pictures of another hotel on his phone. I could tell this family was not enjoying their vacation yet. I returned to our room with 2 coffees and a muffin that cost upwards of $16. First or second bite of the very dry muffin revealed a hair baked inside. Needless to say we did not finish our”breakfast” and decided we would not be eating any more food here at the hotel. Not Hilton level of service we expected. We witnessed/heard a man verbally abusing his partner as he held her captive on an elevator. Not a fault of the Hilton but just another example if the clientele at this hotel. Service at the bar was disappointing. We sat at the bar and witnessed/heard complaints from the bartenders about guests and each other. Not Disney nor Hilton level of service for sure. All in all this trip made us say that this will probably be our last trip to Disney. There are many many places for Floridians to spend our leisure time. We unfortunately will consider somewhere other than Disney and other than a Hilton!
