The lobby was immaculate and gave a false sense of how nice this hotel actually is. You get to your room and it is incredibly dated and tired, feels like it’s not been touched since 1977. Also, there are hundreds of kids running about all day and night, this is very much for family’s with young kids. The food however was great, and the staff were helpful and attentive. Lovely to be right on the beach, however be warned that even though this is stated as being a “private beach”, you can still be solicited by sellers etc You have to drive to get about, so factor that in. Evenings entertainment is very loud, even when you’re on the 4th floor, so be prepared to stay up till at least midnight. Also prepare yourself for guests returning to their rooms at all hours of the night as you will hear them through the thin walls and doors. Poolside towels provided. Nice staff. Good food. But everything else lets it down.

Dear Management, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Grand Palm Oasis Despite the initial impression of a good beach, my experience quickly deteriorated due to numerous issues throughout my stay. Firstly, attempting to make reservations at the restaurant proved to be an exercise in futility. The process was never available, and even when I managed to secure a reservation, it was inevitably canceled. Additionally, the wait time for dinner was unacceptable, with lines extending up to an 30min or more. The limited choice and cramped space within the restaurant only exacerbated the frustration. Furthermore, the lack of amenities and poor management of resources became apparent. There were extensive lineups for basic necessities such as restroom facilities, as well as unreasonable waits of up to 45 minutes for a simple drink at the pool bar. Moreover, the hotel was clearly overbooked, leading to overcrowding and safety concerns, such as inadvertently hitting others while engaging in recreational activities like frisbee or football in the pool area. The inadequate variety and availability of food further compounded the disappointment. It is evident that the hotel prioritizes profit over guest satisfaction, as evidenced by the imposition of fees on nearly every aspect of the stay. In summary, my experience at Grand Oasis Palm was undeniably the worst I have ever encountered. I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone, given the multitude of issues and the blatant disregard for guest comfort and enjoyment. I urge management to address these concerns promptly and take corrective action to prevent similar experiences for future guests. Sincerely,

Currently staying at grand oasis , When booking it confuses you between the oasis palm and the grand oasis. They are the same property, same lobby. The grand oasis palm are the updated/renovated rooms. We had the Oasis palm room and we were Not going to stay in them (they are really old rooms that look dirty just because of their age) we had an upgrade to the grand oasis and paid extra fees for it. Food is below avg, don’t have high expectations on what you will find in the buffets and you can’t access all restaurants at the property ( you would have to pay extra for it) The kids club is okay but the staff are not friendly, I had to stay there with my daughter because she is 2 and 8 months (potty trained ) but they still wouldn’t allow for her to stay with her big brother. When she asked if she can paint with older kids, they said no and that she has to be minimum three. Between the food , the service , the kids club it’s not the best stay or best option in Cancun for the price. You should be able to find better properties for the same price. You can ask any questions in the comment section.

I was nervous after reading the reviews but we had a great 8 day stay. The resort is beautiful. Grand Oasis and Sens are combined, so you get the best of both hotels. There are two coffee shops, 3 buffets and multiple other restaurants where you can make reservations. There was only one time where we weren’t able to get into one of the restaurants we tried to reserve. The staff was attentive, helpful and extremely hard working. They are beginning to make upgrades to the property so there is construction work happening around you, but happy to see investment back into the property. Our daughter had a blast playing volleyball, kayaking, and playing beach soccer. I had an amazing time with a drink in hand laying in a hammock in the ocean. There was always one open. The gym has almost every piece of equipment available. There are evening activities. The music does carry up to the rooms, but we put on a movie and fell right asleep. Use the hotel app and make reservations early. There was an increase in police and national guard that deterred people selling anything on the beach. We would definitely stay here again. The only cons - don’t ask the Sens front desk for anything. They are not polite or helpful. At the Sens the timeshare reps are relentless - be firm if you aren’t interested. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, but ours was always clean.

I was weary to stay after reading many negative reviews and my expectations were very low. But overall, my family and I had a great time! The food was good, typical for an all-inclusive. We did not have to wait long in any line (likely bc my kids love waking up early in the morning so we were ready to eat by 8am and first in line for dinner). We did see lines start to form for buffet when we were done, but luckily beat the crowd. Drinks were fine, once again typical for all-inclusive. Staff were very friendly. Only negatives: pools were cold, especially the kid pool. They were also very deep so my kids were too afraid to swim in most areas. The rooms are outdated and not super clean, but spacious. They upgraded us to Sens and we had a great view. We would stay here again!
