BAD IDEA, DO NOT BOOK.
I had a terrible experience at Grand Oasis Palm during my first stay in Cancun, and I absolutely regret it!
**THEY WILL ROB YOUR MONEY!!!**
I brought $350 cash for extra expenses on this trip. Upon arrival, I placed my wallet in one of the cabinet drawers and left it there until needed. We put up the Do Not Disturb (DND) sign on the door to prevent cleaning. After two days, we took off the DND sign for a cleaning/restock service. Trusting the hotel’s integrity, I left my wallet in the drawer while swimming. The next day, when I needed money, I found only $90 left. I had brought $350 and had not touched my wallet.
I immediately reported this to the hotel representative and spoke to security. They questioned me, I filled out paperwork, and then security came to our room, searched it, and went through my luggage. They invaded our privacy before checking footage and questioning staff. The next day, they questioned the staff who cleaned our room and then called us down to inform us that none of their staff were found guilty. They claimed their staff seemed honest and trustworthy. The hotel prioritized saving themselves and their employees over helping customers. In my case, they stole $260 from me and the bare minimum was done. Not even a sorry was given!
Apart from that, the food was disgusting—undercooked and hardly seasoned. The lines to get into any of the all-inclusive restaurants took up to an hour wait time, only to be served recycled, tasteless food. The hotel seemed to forget they’re in Mexico, as there were hardly any authentic Mexican dishes offered. If you’re looking for a hotel that serves week-old leftovers and steals money from you, this is the place to book.

I just got back from vacationing at this resort with my family. And to say I was disappointed would be a understatement! What you see online is not what you get when you are there. The lobby and the outdoor are beautiful! But the actual rooms are so outdated, that they’re cracks in the walls. The bathroom is dark and cavernous. And when taking a shower water gets everywhere because there’s no door on the shower!!!!! My sister washed her hair, the water ended up outside of room in the hall. Also you can seen when someone is showering from the room! There is double sided glass in the room and bathroom and even though it’s a thick block glass, you can still see. The A/C barely worked, the room always felt warm.
And please know there’s no room service, so don’t expect it. And with the food they offer you won’t even mind. The options were very limited, looked unappealing and at times cold.
The staff was okay, the front desk staff were very helpful and kind. But the rest at beach and poolside, sometimes looked annoyed.
What I liked about the resort is seeing a lot of locals enjoying themselves, and the beach was beautiful. That’s about it.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here, but everyone has different standards. So do as you choose.

This is probably one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at! You get there and when you check in they only have 1 person to check in tons of families who are getting there at the same time! The worst part about this place is that they have very few places to eat at for all the guests that come here! They need to increase the number of buffet areas to accommodate all the guests because the lines are extremely long if you don’t get there early enough! The lines were so long that we ended up leaving the resort and going out to eat! Another downfall of this resort is that it seems like no Americans or Canadians or English-speaking people come here! If you speak English only then you will be very disappointed when you can’t find English speaking people to socialize with. Even the workers barely speak English! Stay away from this place! Trust me!

The lobby was immaculate and gave a false sense of how nice this hotel actually is.
You get to your room and it is incredibly dated and tired, feels like it’s not been touched since 1977.
Also, there are hundreds of kids running about all day and night, this is very much for family’s with young kids.
The food however was great, and the staff were helpful and attentive.
Lovely to be right on the beach, however be warned that even though this is stated as being a “private beach”, you can still be solicited by sellers etc
You have to drive to get about, so factor that in.
Evenings entertainment is very loud, even when you’re on the 4th floor, so be prepared to stay up till at least midnight.
Also prepare yourself for guests returning to their rooms at all hours of the night as you will hear them through the thin walls and doors.
Poolside towels provided. Nice staff. Good food. But everything else lets it down.

Will not recommend even to my worst enemy. What was good? Coffee & You had the best bread, Bites Food Hall has the best breakfast and service and the food in the town is delicious. What went wrong? We were given a dirty room at 3:30pm and had to wait hours to be moved to a different room with a clogged tub, broken closet, broken iron and towels. We had to use the beach towels because we didn’t get room towels until almost midnight. The customer service is horrible almost makes you feel like they are doing you a favor and that you are staying there for free. Las Palmas and Language Hacienda food is tasteless and cold ALL the time. We were there for 3.5 days and had to have lunch in town twice because the food was bad. Don’t waste your time or money. Do not recommend at all.
