Very slow check in experience. Took over an hour in check in line, with only 5-6 groups ahead of us. Vents in the lobby were dripping condensation on floor making it very slippery. Safe in my room was broken. Took 3 times of adcising at front desk before someone came. Multiple lights in bathroom/shower were burned out, and no exhaust fan in bathroom. Long wait for elevator, only two slow/small elevators. There was a raccoon above us in the rafters in the restaurant, and the servers didn't seem too bothered by it. Several power outages during our stay making wifi not work. Food: Sooooo many lines. We were never able to get a reservation at any of the non-buffet places, and any time we wanted to eat it was about 15-30 minute wait in line for one of the two buffets. Almost never any place to sit by the pool, majority of people take the loungers out to the beach. We often just had to put our things directly on the ground. Most days people were still cleaning the pools even when they were supposed to be open. So loud in the evenings. We were on 4th floor, facing the pool area where there is a stage, and it sounded like the bands/performers were directly in our room every night. Mini fridge supply was never replenished during 7 day stay. The map in the app doesn't show where everything is on the property (only restaurants/bars I believe). So when looking for entertainment spots it wasn't clear where we would find them. There was a Disney-tribute show one night that was fantastic for kids. I also heard the Michael Jackson performance was well done. Despite having thermostat set lower, Our room never got below 23.5 degrees celsius. Staff were all very friendly.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but families deserve an honest account before booking here. We stayed at Grand Oasis Palm in February 2026 expecting a family-friendly all-inclusive resort experience. Unfortunately, our stay involved multiple safety and cleanliness issues. The most serious incident occurred at 4:30 AM when a large wall-mounted decorative panel fell from above our beds while my family was sleeping. It struck both me and my 8-year-old son, leaving him with a facial injury and triggering a severe migraine for me that required medical evaluation. No guest should ever experience a mounted object falling onto them during sleep. Beyond that incident, the overall condition of the property was disappointing: • We observed bugs behind wall décor and a roach in the room. • The bathroom lacked a shower curtain or full door, causing constant flooding; my 5-year-old slipped due to water on the floor. • The spa area appeared run down and poorly maintained. • After using the jacuzzi, I developed a widespread rash and persistent itching, raising serious sanitation concerns. Dining logistics were also difficult, with limited availability unless competing for reservations or relying on buffet options. Some individual staff members were kind, but the resort overall did not feel clean, safe, or aligned with what was advertised. I hope management takes these issues seriously because families should not have to worry about safety hazards or sanitation while on vacation.

The positive parts: the beach was beautiful, there were kids’ areas, the rooms were more or less comfortable, and the evening shows were really nice — that was probably the best part of our stay. However, this is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, but with this level of service it honestly feels more like 2 stars. The food was very repetitive every day and often cold. In the mornings, no one made coffee or tea for you — you had to stand in long lines yourself. We were never able to visit the restaurants that required reservations because their online booking system didn’t work properly. It always showed available times, but it was impossible to actually book anything. The weather wasn’t great, so most people stayed inside eating, which caused huge lines — about 30 minutes just to enter a restaurant. When you finally got in, sometimes the tables weren’t ready, and other times staff simply ignored you when you needed something. The waiters were clearly overwhelmed — there were far too few of them for the number of guests. During the last days of our stay, my child got sick, and I urgently needed water for drinking and making tea. Water was not delivered to our room. At the coffee station, the staff looked very unhappy because there were long lines there too. My husband waited 30 minutes just to get tea, and they told him there was no water. At that point I was extremely upset — he had to go to a store to buy water because the hotel couldn’t provide it. My recommendation to this hotel: either hire more staff so your guests feel comfortable and leave good reviews, or stop overbooking the hotel. Even outside, there was nowhere to sit.

We stayed at the Grand Oasis Palm from Wednesday to Saturday, and unfortunately the experience fell far short of expectations. From the outside, the resort looks impressive and gives the impression of something grand, but once inside it quickly feels old, dated, and in need of a serious renovation. The food was below average overall. The buffet offered very limited variety, with no noticeable changes to the menu during our stay. Given how busy the resort was, buffet lines were consistently long, and getting reservations at any of the restaurants was nearly impossible unless you booked two to three days in advance. Service was another major disappointment. The waitstaff seemed disengaged and uninterested, with very little attentiveness. At the bars, there always seemed to be an issue—missing ingredients, unavailable alcohol, or broken equipment like blenders—which made even getting a simple drink frustrating. We attempted to upgrade our room based on the photos provided, expecting a family suite. Instead, we were given two connected rooms with a cot placed in the second room, which was not what was advertised or implied. Amenities throughout the resort were subpar, and important details were often withheld until the last minute. One example was when we booked a massage and planned to drop our kids off at the Kids Club. We were told one time, arrived accordingly, and then were made to wait another 15 minutes before being allowed in. At that point, we were also told—without prior notice—that charges could not be applied to the room and that payment had to be made in cash. Seating around the resort was extremely limited. Multiple guests mentioned waking up as early as 4–5 AM just to secure chairs for later in the day, which speaks volumes about how overcrowded the property is during peak season. Overall, the experience was disappointing. Between the outdated facilities, poor food quality, lack of organization, and inattentive service, this is not a resort we would return to or recommend.

Grand Oasis Palm Resort was, unfortunately, one of the worst resorts we’ve ever stayed at. We’ve been to Mexico a handful of times and never had any issues, but this one left all us a bitter taste in our mouth. We were done with this vacation after acouple nights in. And all so happy to be back home in the cold. From the moment we arrived at around midnight everything went downhill. The first receptionist told my mother that her room wasn’t ready yet, but that it would be in the same building as us, just on a different floor. We were all given blue bracelets, and then she told my mom to go to a different lobby to check in. This made absolutely no sense especially at midnight, when rooms should already be cleaned and prepared, and when the rest of us had just been checked in without issue. When we went to the other lobby, the receptionist there was completely confused as to why my mother had been sent over. After checking the system, they told us that her room had actually been ready the entire time, and that the first receptionist had simply given her the wrong color bracelet. At that point, we asked the second receptionist to double-check our information as well thankfully we did. It turns out the first receptionist had given us a room number that doesn’t even exist. We came as a group of 11, and getting restaurant reservations was impossible. Reservations had to be made through an app, and every single day, all of us tried booking the moment they opened only to be rejected every time. Reservations were supposedly available 24–48 hours in advance at 8:00 a.m., and we literally watched the clock go from 7:59 to 8:00 just to get denied again. Extremely disappointing and frustrating. The buffet food was the exact same every day, and the pictures are completely deceiving. There were long lineups everywhere, even when there were empty tables. To top it off, during our entire 7-day stay, we were never served once. Oh, and to top it all off, the water in our rooms smelled like death. Absolutely unacceptable.
