Funky design hotel in bangkok's most iconic and tallest building. We have always wanted to stay here and it didn't disappoint! Really convenient location close to the BTS and all the markets/shops of Silom. Rooms are very modern and new. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The best part is you get free access to the level 78 skywalk bar at night. The views from here are spectacular! Special HACK: book the lunch special at 1 Michelin star restaurant Ojo on level 76. The lunch is only 990 baht and absolutely delicious, then u GET FREE access to the SKYWALK during the day, which cost 1000 baht alone! Bargain!

Halee Chrapacas

AMAZING! STAY HERE! We stayed here at the end of February and loved it. This hotel is located in the tallest building in Bangkok! There is also a BTS station right in front, making it super convenient to get around. Upon our arrival, we were given welcome drinks and tickets for the skywalk. Our room wasn't ready when we got in, so we had lunch at the restaurant near the lobby, and it was delicious! We loved our room. Everything was so well thought out in the room: automatic blinds, stocked mini bar, slippers and robes, etc. The hotel gym was very nice. My only complaint was that there were a ton of mosquitos in there, so wear bug spray! The food was incredible, breakfast was included, and everything we had was fantastic! On our last night, we did the hotel bar crawl, and if you're on the fence about doing it, let this be your sign to DO IT! Every drink and snack we had was very high quality and tasted so good! I could go on and on about this place, and we will definitely be back! ps if you do stay here there is an amazing spa right across the street, Aurasol.

Nice, stylish and clean hotel! The pool area and 24/7 gym were the highlights, apart from the room. We also got two tickets to the rooftop bar upon check-in, which was a little bit too touristy, but a cool view to see! The wait staff at the pool & breakfast was not very attentive and a little slow, but the receptionists were amazing! Would recommend but probably not stay again (just because there are so many other nice hotels in Bangkok).

Stayed in the corner room this time. The room was nice and we slept well. The breakfast was semi buffet and was quite good. However, the staff were rather ineffective and weren’t very helpful at times. As we alighted a taxi on a trip back to hotel, we ran out of changes and asked the hotel staff to exchange a $1000 bill to $100 ones. The staff replied with their grumpy, annoyed face. They questioned if we were staying at the hotel and was reluctant to help. They were nice to western travellers but not so nice to Chinese tourists like us. This kind of hostile behaviour was totally out of standard in a 5-star hotel like this. Because of this level of hospitality they provided, I don’t think I would consider to stay in this hotel again.

We stayed at The Standard for three nights. The hotel is quite new and, above all, very modern. I was initially concerned that it might be an Instagram hotspot where you'd constantly have a camera in your face, but thankfully, that wasn't the case. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the hotel and our room. The design and interior are truly stunning, with a stylish and inviting atmosphere. The fitness room is by far the best I've ever seen in a hotel, offering top-notch equipment. Positives ✅ Exceptional location ✅ High-quality and beautiful design ✅ Great outdoor spaces, especially SkyBeach and Ojo but also the breakfast and restaurant areas are beautiful ✅ Friendly and welcoming staff (stuff on reception speaks very good english) ✅ Fantastic fitness studio with amazing equipment ✅ DJs and events create a great atmosphere Areas for Improvement 🔹 English skills of the staff could be better 🔹 À la carte breakfast is quite limited in variety and options, especially for vegetarians 🔹 In general, breakfast lacks variety for a 5-star hotel 🔹 Massages at the pool feel a bit "cheap"—a dedicated spa area would be much more appropriate Negatives ❌ Pool and pool area need some renovation and better cleanliness ❌ In-room amenities feel a bit low-quality and are simply packaged ❌ People smoking weed on the terraces and unfortunately not being asked by the staff to refrain from doing so or to go around the corner (not disturb other guests) All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would likely return to "TheStandard". However, at the moment, we would classify it more as a solid 4-star hotel rather than a true 5-star experience. We hope the team continues to improve to reach its full potential!
