This is my first visit (3N) to The Lancaster Bangkok, and it's definitely now one of my favourite hotels in Bangkok. I prefer a laid-back approach in terms of service, and this place fits the bill perfectly. Nobody is pushy or under your feet, and we were able to relax, unless we needed something. Every staff member acknowledged us during our stay. I'm a fan of the internal architecture, I love the style of this hotel. The rooms are a really good size, and the bathrooms are luxurious. The beds were extremely comfortable as well as the pillows, there was iron/ironing board, hair dryer, and laundry bag in the room. We didn't think it was missing anything for a short stay. Everything is of high quality, and despite being a bit older now, this place holds up really well against the more modern establishments. The swimming pool is very clean and the service upstairs was always positive. The customer service experience throughout my stay was faultless. The reception staff were very helpful and polite, the concierge was always smiling and professional, the bar staff were excellent. We never used to gym, but the staff greeted us whenever we passed by. We didn't eat here, so can't comment on the food. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel in future. We stayed for the majority of our time in the hotel, and we are incredibly relaxed for it.

It's not super near any train station, but generally not too inconvenient. Mainly, the gym is pretty good. There are 2 gyms - the day use one, with most of the equipment, and a smaller one with minimal equipment, but it's 24/7! So it's great that it accommodates different schedules for guests.

Love the Lancaster. Our second time staying here and always a great experience. Great staff, they are ever so kind and helpful. The rooms are super clean and the sauna and the pool is so peaceful and clean. Downstairs reception happy to help at anytime and also, the location is ideal to visit many attractions. They offer a shuttle service to the closest MRT station.

Nosheel Marek-Rahi
Lancaster has many good qualities like the welcoming porters, the friendliness of everyone, great breakfast and facilities. But these are things that should be a given at a 5* hotel anyway. The 2 bars are great (one on 12th with the pool and city views, the other, a ground floor haven in the a cooler, darker environment). Cocktails and food are good, service perhaps a little pushy, especially when quiet. This discouraged us from having more drinks in the ground floor Lancaster Bar. Friendliness is lovely, pushiness is overwhelming: there is a balance. The rooms could do with a little TLC as they feel a little tired, particularly the shower and toilet doors (seals and glass staining). The AC is also very loud and we had to turn it off (unlike the other 3 hotels we had on this trip). The check in is slow and inefficient (as many others mentioned) and the checkout not much better. There is a custom we found in Thai hotels to give Housekeeping 5-10 minutes to check rooms upon checking out. I find this a little jarring as surely that's what the deposit is for? I understand some guests will be disrespectful but early checkouts usually mean a mad dash to the airport or a commitment, so the wait is unnecessary. A final positive comment that we were able to check in an hour earlier, despite a full hotel, so that was appreciated (though we also left before 8am on checkout so hopefully that helps another guest later).

Stayed for 3 nights as part of a trip around Thailand, due to being up very early on trips and having long tiring days we ate in the hotel twice. The food was very good, all staff are very friendly and helpful. The aircon in the room was excellent. we left very early for the airport and could even collect a very good breakfast box to take with us. Fantastic hotel.
