We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was very centrally located. Lots of great stores and restaurants within a short walk. The rooms were clean, the bed was a bit firmer than I'd like, but otherwise comfortable. The service was excellent. I'm quite happy with what we got for the price we paid.

The rooms were fairly large, and beautiful. The view from our room was really cool. The location is not bad either. They added points to my ALL program only for one night despite booking for 2 nights. Food was alright here. But we ordered online on one of the days. There’s also a 7-11 nearby at a walking distance.

This hotel has excellent service, the wait staff, bar staff and reception made the stay very welcoming. The hotel is a bit older but this is reflected in the price. Lovely pool and refreshing executive lounge. Easy access to train station and great pick up out front. The breakfast had a great selection.

I stayed here for four nights on a business trip. The hotel is strategically located at the Petchburi area of Bangkok. Service throughout the stay was courteous and efficient. The front desk staff were helpful during check-in and check-out, and quick to respond to any inquiries. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive, ensuring the room was refreshed daily without being intrusive. The in-room amenities were also worth noting. A comfortable bed, reliable Wi-Fi, and a well-lit work area made it a suitable place not just for rest, but also for catching up on emails or planning the day ahead. The bathroom was clean and functional, equipped with basic toiletries and a good shower. One small observation—the soundproofing could be improved, especially for rooms facing the street and between the rooms. While it wasn’t overly disruptive, light sleepers may want to request a room on a higher floor or away from traffic. That said, the hotel delivers great value for its location and standard. Whether you’re in Bangkok for business or leisure, this property offers the comfort, convenience, and professionalism expected from the Accor brand. I would be happily consider staying here again on future visits.

Review: Family Stay at Grand Mercure Bangkok Atrium Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5) Stay Dates: May 11–13, 2025 Guest: Neeraj Singla and Family We stayed at Grand Mercure Bangkok Atrium for two nights during our family trip to Thailand, and the experience was largely positive with some thoughtful gestures and a few areas for improvement. 🌟 What We Loved: Warm Welcome & Front Desk Experience: The front desk team made a lasting impression — cheerful, helpful, and playful with our infant son. We arrived early around 12 PM (well ahead of the standard 2 PM check-in), and they graciously allowed early check-in without any hassle. Free Room Upgrade & No Security Deposit: To our pleasant surprise, the staff upgraded our room to a higher category, which was a kind gesture. They also did not take any security deposit, which made check-in and check-out completely smooth and guest-friendly. Comfortable Rooms with Thoughtful Baby Setup: Our upgraded room was clean, spacious, and welcoming. A baby cot was provided, and the adorable towel elephant arrangement added a sweet touch that made us smile. Housekeeping Service: Prompt, polite, and attentive — the housekeeping team deserves appreciation for maintaining everything well. Bathroom, Wi-Fi & Air India Presence: The bathrooms were modern and clean, and the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. Since Air India crew seemed to be staying at the hotel, the breakfast buffet also featured some Indian options, which was a bonus for Indian travelers. Swimming Pool & Kids’ Pool: The pool area on the 4th floor was lovely. The presence of a baby pool was especially delightful — our kiddo had a blast! 🔧 Areas That Could Be Improved: No Welcome Drink Offered: After a long 7–8 hour journey from the airport, a simple welcome drink would have been a nice and refreshing gesture, especially for families arriving with children. Non-Smart TV in the Room: The in-room TV wasn’t a smart TV, which meant we couldn’t cast YouTube or play cartoons for our child. This was inconvenient, particularly for family travelers with toddlers. Key Card Access Issues — A Major Concern: Unfortunately, the room keycard deactivated at 9 AM on the day of checkout (even though checkout was at 12 PM). This led to repeated trips to the front desk to get the card reactivated. The most distressing moment came when I took my baby to the pool around 10:30 AM. On returning, our card wouldn’t let us back to the 17th floor (our room). I exited on the 15th floor thinking I’d take the stairs — but unknowingly entered a fire exit stairwell, which locked behind us. We were trapped — no phones, no intercom, no way to call for help. I knocked and shouted, and only after some time did a kind guest hear and rescue us. My request to hotel management: Keep keycards active until actual checkout time. Install emergency phones or buzzers inside fire exits. Warn guests about fire exit doors clearly — this incident could have gone terribly wrong, especially with a baby. 🏁 Final Thoughts: Despite the scary fire exit episode, we were truly touched by the warmth of the staff, the thoughtful upgrade, baby-friendly amenities, and overall service. With some attention to keycard handling, emergency protocols, and a few small hospitality gestures (like a welcome drink), Grand Mercure Bangkok Atrium can offer a flawless family stay experience. Warm regards, Neeraj Singla & Family India
