My husband and I stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui for our honeymoon, with high expectations given the Ritz brand and our consistently pleasant experiences at other Marriott properties, including W Bangkok. From pick-up at Nathon Pier through check-in, the service was seamless and attentive. We were accommodated in a room with a partial ocean view, and we appreciated the effort to acknowledge our honeymoon with welcome amenities. That said, while we were grateful for the gesture, the amenities themselves felt rather generic. Having stayed at other resorts where touches felt more personal and thoughtfully curated, this one gave the impression of being standard for all guests, regardless of occasion. The resort grounds are expansive, and possibly due to the hotel operating at a high occupancy level during our stay, buggy service occasionally took longer than expected, something worth noting given the size of the property. We also experienced an issue with water pressure in our room, which was addressed promptly by the team. However, the initial water flow had a sandy, rust-colored appearance after the issue was resolved. While these issues were addressed and did not significantly detract from our stay, our expectation was that such lapses would not occur at this level of brand and pricing. The rate during our stay was notably higher than usual, likely due to peak season. Given our overall experience, we felt the pricing was not exactly relative to the service and experience delivered. That said, we still very much enjoyed our honeymoon stay and look forward to experiencing other Ritz-Carlton properties in the future.

This was a phenomenal experience for my family and probably the best resort I have ever stayed at. First - the service was top notch. There are really too many names to mention and I can’t remember them all but the staff and management were truly exceptional. We got upgraded to the renovated suite and the room had such a luxurious feel and layout and the views were stunning. My elderly in-laws joined us for the trip and the breakfast team always delivered a special assortment to their rooms free of charge. My kids LOVED the kids club! They wanted to spend all their time there and after we returned to Dubai they kept asking to go back to the kids club! I especially loved the Thai kickboxing class which was such a unique experience for my kiddos. The beach is not really for swimming but the hotel is close to many great spots and beaches which actually gives a much needed motivation to venture out from the resort (otherwise I might prefer to stay!). There is much more to praise and I regret not noting down the names to thank… but suffice to say, this was a fantastic hotel, service, and experience. Thank you Koh Samui Ritz Team!!!

The Ritz Carlton in Samui was unfortunately a huge disappointment that did not feel luxurious in any way. We were supposed to stay for 7 nights, but ended up moving hotels after 1 night. The main disappointments were the beach, pool and restaurants which is where we would be spending most of our time as we were travelling with a baby. The common areas generally felt quite worn down and a little tacky. Nothing like what you would expect from a 5 star hotel, and absolutely nothing like what you would expect from the Ritz. We had lunch at the beach restaurant and ordered room service for dinner. Both food experiences were quite poor. We had already spent 1 week in Samui and this was the worst food experiences so far on our trip. The breakfast was better and had a huge selection, but the quality of the produce was not the best. The gym was s positive surprise, beautiful location and a good variety of equipment. Our room was spacious, clean and nice, but quite noisy as you could hear guests in the hallway and other rooms. The terrace was quite disappointing as well. Unfortunately, this was a very poor representation of the Ritz brand and felt more like a massive 4 star Las Vegas type resort. Overall the hotel and it's service level is lacking attention to detail.

Amazing experience. Truly one of a kind staff. Special thanks to Pupae and Ping who made our stay extra special. They were extremely kind, professional and helpful. The rooms were also extremely spacious which is incredible. The only downside I would say is that the resort is a bit secluded and huge so you can’t really move around without the golf carts or you have to walk. As well as the slow wifi. Other than that everything was perfect, I recommend!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton 6th-11th January. Overall we had a lovely stay. The staff were very accommodating, multilingual, went above and beyond to try to help us. The room was absolutely immaculate. It felt like luxury. The only negative I would say is when we arrived at midday after our flight, we were what I felt to be “shoved” in a waiting room by the swimming pool. Our cases were at reception and we just sat there in a dark room for almost three hours. It felt like a waste of a day. Being offered a room to shower and freshen up after our flight would’ve been a much more enjoyable experience. Another point to consider is a taxi is approximately £9 each way into fisherman’s village. For what we enjoy in the evenings, location wise it was a little too far. It would have been really nice if the hotel arranged an in house shuttle taxi service a couple of times a day to help with this. Also, aircon in the breakfast area would also be a way to improve. Nonetheless an amazing hotel - both throughly enjoyed and would highly recommend.
