We had a wonderful stay at Sunscape Resort in Cancun, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for a family-friendly getaway. The resort strikes a great balance—fun and lively without being a non-stop party scene. Unlike some other Cancun spots, the crowd here was relaxed and respectful. We didn’t have to worry about overly drunk guests, which made it super comfortable for our whole family to enjoy the pools, beach, and dining areas. One of the biggest highlights was the value. Sunscape is very budget-friendly, especially considering the quality of the food and service. The meals were consistently good with lots of variety, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. While the rooms were a bit outdated, they were clean and spacious, and everything functioned as expected. Honestly, we didn’t spend much time in the room, and the overall experience more than made up for the dated decor. The pools also could have been larger, but our kids loved it! From what I’ve heard, they are going through a renovation coming up soon so looking forward to the updates they will be doing, they are now owned by Hyatt

My Family and I stayed here for a week and honestly I would go back with no hesitation. The hotel staff was beyond exceptional. From room service, to the restaurants, to the entertainment staff just everything was worth every penny! The atmosphere here is just amazing! I do want to highlight 3 of the Entertainment employees Ari, Ali and Francisco (Pancho) have a VERY special place in my heart! If you are looking for a family friendly resort who has kid activities throughout the day look no further I promise you you won't regret it!

Stayed here with my family this last week. Had a great time! Everything was clear, the facility showed wear just because I think this is an older hotel, but it was still great. Food was over all pretty good, the Mexican and Italian restaurants were my favorites. The buffet was decent. Would for sure stay here again.

We just got back from this resort yesterday and let me just say we really enjoyed ourselves. However, a couple of things to consider when choosing this resort. One being that this resort is very hot everywhere you go except for your rooms which you can control the temperature. There will be no AC in the lobby, barely any AC at the restaurants. Feels like no AC at all except for the Italian which was still hot but not 90 degrees other restaurants and Lobby area. I am not sure what it’s like during the cooler months but summer, it was BRUTAL! Secondly, the entertainment was good but the girls wore really skimpy clothes and made us feel uncomfortable bringing our little children to go see it. They had the women wearing thongs basically with no leggings. Men taking off their shirts a Micheal Jackson. I think the hotel really tries to cater to families and I see about 90 percent of guests are families with young children so this was definitely a miss for the audience that were there. The shows were good other than the outfit and them trying to be too sexy unnecessarily. Lastly, there was huge seaweed issue At this resort. No fault of the hotel but you have to walk over a seaweed hill to get to the ocean water which also had a bunch seaweed floating in it. The decomposing seaweed did give off a very fishy smell and was unpleasant. My kids still went anyway. You can still go in the water it was just not as pleasant with the mountain of seaweed. 😂 Other than that we still enjoyed ourselves because the food was good and the staff were all very friendly like the other reviews mentioned. Frankie from entertainment was really friendly. My daughter even made him a drawing but we couldn’t find him on our last day to give the gift. Overall, it was still well worth the money to go to this resort. We will be back. Maybe when it will be cooler in the winter.

At first I wasn’t sure about this resort but it really grew on us. Here are my rankings on a scale from 1-10 with details. Rooms- 7 (relatively quiet, room service does a good job, rooms were clean) Food-7 (Italian was our favorite restaurant, service at buffet was very good, good food overall) Entertainment-9 (they try very hard at this resort to entertain everybody, the entertainment team was a highlight…especially Andrea. She is so personable and works very hard) Beach-8 (play volleyball twice per day, seating snd swings with bar were great. Bar/drinks-8 (service was good, plenty of drink options and they are willing to make anything) Service-9 (Hector from bell service was fantastic and Romy at the front was good). Andrea from entertainment is one of the best. Additional comments: I have older kids but this resort would have been good with younger children. They work very hard to accommodate kids. The candy store is cool with an ice cream stand. Negatives: The pools are little small, there was some construction going on but wasn’t as big of a deal as I thought. Overall I would recommend this resort, especially with a smaller budget. It allows you to spend money on excursions, etc.
