Rooms are fine, but calling them Delux is an overstatement. Internet coverage is wide across resort but works very slow and bad. No way to make a work call on this network. Room doors and corridors are super super loud, when smashing close or people passing by. Door sound insulation is probably non existant. Gym is large, lot of machines (old but fine) but only 1 in 3 ACs work (very hot) and Yoga mats are filthy dirty and old. Breakfast area is nice but selection is medium. Water park area is lot of fun, kids love it. Excellent for small ones. Hotel area is very tidy, grass cut short, lovely. Staff is supet polite. Restaurant food is OK with plenty of restaurants just 5 min walk from hotel. Beach is close, very clean, hotel area is large and well connected by electric buggies. Airport is very close with loud airplane landings and take offs so if you are sensitive, probably choose a diffent place

The only good thing about this place is the water park. Apart from that service is non existent , rooms lack basic amenities. Front desk staff is lazy and inefficient. Loud noises in corridors at night with people shouting and banging doors. And yes never seen any hotel which just takes deposit by cash and doesn’t have a card machine. Maybe every one should consider this place for one day. Enjoy the waterpark one day and shift to a better hotel later. Definitely not a 5 star resort. The other good things are nice beach and pool and watching aeroplane taking off and landing, which turns into a problem during sleeping time because of loud noise

We recently stayed at Splash Beach Resort for two nights, having last visited about six years ago. The location is still one of the resort’s strongest points — close to the airport and right on the beach — and the water park is fantastic. Our kids had an absolute blast there for the two days we stayed. However, it was disappointing to see how tired the property has become. The grounds and buildings look like they haven’t had much maintenance since our last visit, which is a shame because it’s a great setup that could easily be excellent again with some care and upkeep. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but check-in was messy. The details the reception had didn’t match the confirmation we received after booking directly on the resort’s website. We’d paid for an extra bed for one of our children, but it wasn’t set up when we arrived. After a long back-and-forth, we were told the manager was “doing us a favour” by providing a stretcher bed, and not charging us — even though it was part of our booking. The same thing happened with the included airport transfers, which also didn’t appear on their system, and not supplied. We paid for a late checkout until 6 p.m. due to our evening flight, but the cost was the same as booking an additional full night — which felt unreasonable. We found the restaurants and massage places just outside the resort to be excellent — great food, friendly service, and far better value than the resort’s own restaurants. Once everything was sorted, we enjoyed our time. The pools and water park were clean enough, and the kids loved every minute. Overall, Splash Beach Resort is still a good place to stay for families who want convenience and fun close to the airport. It just really needs some attention to maintenance and a smoother front-desk system to match the website bookings. Reading through other recent reviews, I can see we’re not the only ones who’ve had similar experiences — and that’s a shame, because this resort has the potential to be outstanding again.

Booked 2 nights in this resort solely because of the Water park. I emailed and got response that they are close till Sept 30, 2025 and will be opening on Oct 1. So i booked 2 nights Oct 1-3, 2025. When arrived, the front desk just told me that the water park still close (big disappointment). When i said i solely booked this place because of water park, they feedback that my booking doesnt include the waterpark entrance fee though. (At least send email or inform the guest that its still close so that I can plan accordingly on our trip) 1. People (5 stars) very friendly and welcoming 2. Amenities in Room (3 stars) when arrived we only have shower gel and bath gel available in toilet + 2 towels and handtowels. ( all you need to request like slippers, bathrobe, shampoo, soap, tootbrush etc) 3. Breakfast (3 stars), presentation is good but actually less choices. Sausage, ham, bacon, fried rice, chicken breast. Lot of choices for bread. 4. Beach (3 stars) the beach is not swimmable stay here month of Sept and the waves are huge! The sand are like small fine rocks. And theres a sign that beware of jelly fish too! So totally mai khao beach is not swimmable, you will only go there if you want to see airplane above your head. There no umbrella or other shade in the beach. 5. Location (3 stars), yes there a lot of shops and restaurants nearby, but from lobby going out to main road need to walk around 3-5mins, and if its too sunny theres ni shade going on the main road. Shops nearby but not like so lively compare to kata, karon, patong. Its like a very quiet place. Overall didnt much enjoy the place and hotel. And very disappointed that they didnt inform the water park still close. Actually nothing much to do inside the resort but swim on the pool. Only the people there are very friendly!

The waterpark was definitely the draw card for us and it didn't disappoint. The golf cart transport was great and the rooms were well appointed. However, that's where the positives finish. The food was average at best and the restaurants looked a bit dirty with zero atmosphere. The breakfast feed was cold as a lot of the hot food was sitting there without a hot lamp over the top. We paid for an extra long check out which basically cost us the same as a full night stay. Our key wasn't cut to reflect our late check out and we were locked out of our room for nearly 30 minutes while we waited for staff to let us back into our room. I had to call reception 3 times and they just kept telling me that someone was on their way. 25 minutes into that wait I had to call again for the 4th time on the phone as my kids were nearly going to pass out with the heat and reception hung up on me. I called back immediately and told them how disrespectful that was and they said that they would send someone down with a new key. We were very glad that we only spent one night there and that we had such a positive experience at the other hotels that we went to.
