Great hotel and personel. Friendly and professional. Clean simple rooms and good housekeeping team as well. Even if rooms might be simple, or old-fashioned (which I think is nice, and I like the room the way it is), I don't spent my trip in the room anyways, only to sleep in. Great breakfast buffet, and great selection. I had asked them for a personal favor and they fullfilled this request with great satisfaction, which meant a lot to me. +++ I had staid there twice now, and if I return to Karon Beach this WILL be the hotel I will check with first. Thank you for everything. Neal

I stayed at Paradox Resort Phuket for 7 nights and debated between a 3 and 4-star rating for the following reasons: Good Points: - Service Orientation: The staff were genuinely service-oriented and seemed happy to assist from the heart. - Willingness to Help:They made every effort to accommodate our needs, demonstrating a strong desire to provide good service. - Location: The resort is in a fantastic spot—quiet yet conveniently close to attractions. - Beach Quality: The beach is amazing and very clean; I loved it! - Activities: There are several engaging activities available that caught my attention. Areas for Improvement: - 5-Star Standards: The resort has a long way to go to truly earn its 5-star rating. - Checkout Process: My checkout experience was complicated and frustrating. - Language Barrier: Communication was a challenge; the staff struggled with English, which made it difficult to report an issue with the bathroom sink. Unfortunately, it remained unresolved during our stay. - Mosquito Problem: I had a tough time with mosquitoes; despite the hotel's pest control measures and using repellent, I was still bitten frequently. - Pillows was not up to 1 star hotel, very bad, not comfortable and screwed my sleep quality big time. Overall, I wouldn't repeat it again because of the last 3 points.

Overall, I was a bit disappointed with this resort, especially compared to other 5-star resorts I’ve stayed at in different countries. Room: There was no lounge chair or luggage rack, which was quite unexpected for a 5-star property. The room was very moldy. When I requested a room change, they only offered a downgraded room, and clearly used air freshener to mask the mold smell. We could not accept that and no one followed up afterward. The air conditioner was broken — we couldn’t adjust the temperature at all. I had to call four times before someone finally came to fix it. Additionally, they charged for bottled of water, which you expect from 3 star hotels. Hotel condition: The hotel décor feels more like an outdated 3-star hotel rather than a 5-star resort. It’s not just the décor — the entire property feels worn, old, and poorly maintained. Some walls are covered in aging white paint, the elevator tiles are cracked, and pool drainage has stains. Facilities: One of the main reasons I chose this resort was because it advertised four pools. However, one pool was restricted for villa prime guests only, the infinity pool was closed, and that left just two pools available. Accessibility: The walk from the entrance to the lobby involves stairs and feels unnecessarily long. When I arrived, there were so few staff or guests visible that I briefly wondered whether the resort was even operating. Pricing experience: Another aspect that made me very uncomfortable is the pricing. I booked this resort three months in advance, only to discover upon arrival that the current price was almost half of what I had paid. Considering the condition of the room, the outdated facilities, and the overall experience, the price difference made everything feel even less worthwhile. Positive aspects: The best part of the resort is the beach access — you just need to cross the street. The landscaping is beautiful, and the plants truly give a lush tropical feeling. Staffs are generally friendly and welcoming.

This is without question a true 5-star resort. The check-in experience was seamless, and the grand foyer immediately set the tone for what was to come. We stayed in a Penthouse Villa, which was exceptionally spacious. The private plunge pool upstairs was stunning, and the views from there were nothing short of spectacular. The breakfast spread was extensive with something for every taste, and the staff throughout the resort were consistently warm, friendly, and attentive. The property itself offers a wide range of facilities, including two beautiful pools and a usable gym. The beach is just a short walk away, and it's only a few minutes to the main road with plenty of restaurants and bars to explore. An outstanding stay all around, highly recommended.

We stayed in a garden pool villa which was a great size but a little dated and the pool area was comfortable and relaxing. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The breakfast options were good. We were glad we were travelling in low season as I think it might have been a bit busy and noisy for a relaxing break at peak time.
