Arrive six hours early and they were able to give us a early check-in. They also were able to upgrade us to a room with a view so we got the 23rd floor and a beautiful view of Vegas. Mountains room was wonderful. It was like a dream we were very satisfied, and also appreciated the historic value of the rat pack days. It was totally family-friendly. My favorite thing was the noodle den restaurant. I highly recommend the roasted duck and any noodle items are handmade fresh on the spot. We did so much family activities that I never got to gamble, and it really didn’t matter because all the family events that we did were wonderful. The housekeeper did to restock our bathrooms two days out of the four that we were there. We did have to call and ask for additional towels and change our trash a little disappointment with that other than that, it was a wonderful experience, very lavish, well decorated and high-end.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Sahara hotel. They have recently refurbished the hotel and it seems not all the rooms have been done yet. The lovely rooms we saw advertised online when booking the hotel were not the ones we stayed in. The room we stayed in was cheap looking and had rusted hardware in the bathroom. The windows in the room were single glazed which meant just like the Las Vegas city, we never slept! We were also given a room with two separate beds which wasn’t ideal for a married couple. The hotel didn’t care and give us no option to change it. I’ve also left them feedback on the survey they sent me after the stay and their response was simply “that’s what you booked”. I love the “above and beyond for our customers” attitude this hotel adopts. I obviously didn’t book that or wouldn’t be complaining! And if I had, being the 4 star hotel that you claim to be, I’d expect you to check your availability for a more appropriate room. Lastly, the location isn’t great either, most places are about a 30mins walk away. Don’t stay there if you don’t want to waste your money on taxis. There are cheaper hotels that are more luxurious closer to the strip.

This is a beautiful hotel and very clean. They have an adult and family pool, and several restaurants. They offer a free crib if you have a child. It's also connected to the Las Vegas Monorail which makes it much easier to get to the center of the strip.
My main criticism is that the front staff at the check in desk doesn't explain anything to you when you check in and you don't really sense any warm or welcoming smiles from them. They are very fast and efficient but very dry. I had to ask them questions several times. Why don't they explain the benefits of staying at the hotel when the customer checks in? They never told me that we get discounts on the monorail for staying at the hotel or any of the other benefits, never mentioned anything about the pools and where they are located, never explained that there is a $1.99 daily charge for housekeeping (which I was shocked about as this used to be included, I guess times have changed or maybe Vegas is just different), etc. They should be forthcoming with this information with warm and welcoming smiles. Other than that, the check-in and check-out process is extremely fast. You can just text them for express checkout.
The monorail elevator that leads from the Sahara to the monorail platform is shaky though so that should be looked at.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and will go there again in the future.

First night we stayed the air wasn't on so we thought it took a while to cool down. Second night it wouldn't get lower then 75 and we were sweating all night. The front desk said sorry and told us we could switch rooms at 3 in the morning and weren't planning on compensating us for any inconvenience. Then after spending over an hour telling them why I shouldn't have to deal with this for 325 a night. They offered 47 dollars off. I personally don't think that's enough. Yes things break but it is your job to help people be comfortable while they stay, or make sure they're happy when they leave. I was not happy at all. They should've gave us the night for free or almost few at least.

Sahara Las Vegas is a pretty good hotel at the end of the Las Vegas strip. The rooms are nice and clean, and while the view from the room is just ok, the staff are well-mannered, and the casino area is quite enjoyable. It's not a very big resort like some of the central ones on the strip, but it has its charm. My one complaint about this hotel is the mandatory $50 per night resort fee. They say it's for using the resort amenities like the pool and gym, and for gratuities for room services. However, I believe this should be optional. Many travelers like us only use the hotel for night stays and don't utilize these amenities or services daily (as we had the privacy sign on), yet we were still charged $200 for four nights. When I inquired about a refund, they only returned about half of what I paid. This doesn't seem like good business practice to me. They should ask guests during check-in if they intend to use these amenities and charge accordingly. I'm not pleased with this experience and might consider other hotels for my next Las Vegas visit. Otherwise, I would have given at least a 4-star rating.
