First opened during the first post ww2 year in 1946. Coinciding with the beginning date of the Baby Boomer years. Jackie Gaughan owned a stake in the casino early on and it was a Frank Sinatra favorite. In 1973, Steven Wynn bought in making him the youngest casino owner in town. As well as a part of coinciding history. Much like coin history . A time before minted money was a time currency exchange was in golden silver nuggets. A union of the US mint alongside the historical numismatic society. Both which emphasizes the importance of Creeds and obverse numbers within key dates. Like the number 69. And the year 1969. Remembered for the Amazing Mets and the infamous Woodstock. Also the number of years prophecized between 1945 and 2014. 2014 being Golden Nuggets opening of their allied property Lake Charles.

Nice hotel, casino, and showroom. Plenty of dinning options. Room was very nice but NO SERVICES! Ordered carry out dinner from one of the hotel restaurants. The bag and foam dinner boxes sat on floor from first night until we left along with other trash from carry out from their restaurans! Same with the next two nights, yes we called they said we weren't scheduled for service. Day 2 asked for fresh towels and water, it was left in a bag. Mind you daily we saw rooms on our floor being serviced. Ran out of body wash day three so it wasn't filled upon arrival. Called they never came. Upon check out expressed my dissatisfaction and was told it was short staffing, yet again rooms on floor were being serviced. Sad already told others who wanted to try them to find other hotels.

I always read reviews before we book, so i will leave one. Apparently they use AI for ratings, because the room was horrible. I wish is could add pictures so you'd know I'm not over exaggerating. The tub was rusted, and has a rusted Crack along the top 6 inches or so. The drain was rusted and broken. The water handle to the shower was broken and I never was able to turn it completely off. They never replaced the body wash bottle and the soap scum where it should be, was disgusting. There was an unidentified drip under the skin. Looks like it was catsup, but it wasnt and i didnt investigate, No trash bags in the garbage cans and it took two of us to pull the chain to close the blind, and we were facing the road. We only had 3 hours so we didnt ask for a change of room, but I felt like I needed a shower after taken one. Oh... there is also an issue with the water pressure in the bathroom causing several flushes for paper. We couldnt figure out how the lights worked and just used our phone after turning off the primary light, to get On a good note, inspite of the location, the room was quiet, bed comfortable, carpeting and linen seemed clean. They have a nice casino and service was helpful at midnight. She was very polite. Over all, a filthy bathroom is unexceptable. Over all 2 out of 10. please see my second night review that was a 10 out of 10 experience.!! The following night we had chosen to stay again, as we had booked 3 nights and we were too tired to drive to LA. We explained to the desk clerk that we had issues with the first room, she helped us within minutes to change the room. This room was so much nicer. Very clean, still quiet and the staff was wonderful. The room was bigger than the last and most likely wasn't the room we paid for. So if you have problems. Tell the staff they are quick to accommodate. free parking and convinent to connecting trips to the grand canyon. I changed my ratings for location and staff as they were always helpful. I would recommend a stay here. Hopefully they will fix issues with the first room.

I was very disappointed with my stay. Upon arrival, I wanted to check in at the front desk with a live person. I was told to check in at the kiosk. It wasn't busy. Checking in was easy and I upgraded to a suite. I did have to pay for early check-in. I asked for help with our luggage and I was again told that I needed to "go over there". Did I mention that it wasn't busy? They had staff just standing around talking to each other. I didn't bother so I went to our suite. While unpacking, we noticed the room hadn't been completely cleaned. There was trash (female products) and the mirrors were dirty. I called to have the room serviced again and they did send someone. For some reason, they don't worry too much about cleaning the rooms. After the 3rd night, I had to request that they service our room. Then later that morning, while we were waiting for an elevator, one of the housekeeping staff yelled out to us from down the hall. Asked us what room we were in and if we needed the room serviced. After telling her yes, she then asked what did we need. This was very unprofessional imo. The suite was very nice, Classic Vegas suite. It is very dark, extra lights or brighter bulbs would be nice. I personally wouldn't order room service either, the food was ok at best. It's an old hotel and it shows. This wasn't my first stay but, it definitely was my last.

Had a good time, made money, Fremont is better than the strip, so it offers a better experience. Pool is getting renovated. Definitely didnt look to be a 30 million dollar pool like I read somewhere. Had lady offer to massage while I played which I thought was cool, even though I declined.
