Just returned from a week in Vegas where the family and I stayed. I have been to Vegas many times but this was my first stay at the PH hotel. What I liked about the hotel is first and foremost its prime location. It’s right in the middle of strip where all the “action” takes place. It’s also reasonably sized and so doesn’t feel like you need half an hour just to go through the hotel. It’s also reasonably priced compared with other properties. The service throughout was really good. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We had booked 2 rooms on 2 separate reservations and made every effort to ensure we could get a connecting room. They also have 2 separate pools: one for the 21+ and one for all ages. Perfect when travelling with kids. On the low side, I’d say the rooms we stayed at looked a bit tired. Also the curtains weren’t the usual blackout ones you’d normally get around here and so each mornings kids tended to be awaken by the 6am sunrise. The food options at the pool was ultra limited and pricey but hey! This is Vegas… I would not hesitate to come back.

If you’re looking to stay in a nice hotel, skip this one. The rooms are so,so. They are old and things like the toilet running all night with a sticking handle and loose sink handles definitely tell you how little they care about maintenance. Service wasn’t great either. The electronic check in stations were down and they didn’t have much staff to check in. Our room was not ready so they gave us a lower room and promised to upgrade us the next day. The next day, (today) we go to switch rooms and get the promised upgrade and were told that they can’t guarantee anything. This was not what we were told yesterday. We had to pack and unpack all of our stuff twice and lug our belongings to another room. We have stayed in Vegas many times and in many places. This is definitely the lowest quality and worst service we received. We will not be returning here again and will not recommend it. Trust me, for the same or not much more, you can get a better hotel on the strip with better service. Our hotel rep said she’s been here 20 years and that they never guarantee what size bed you’ll get, even though we paid and reserved a king room. This is the only hotel we have ever stayed in that has that policy. We travel a ton and while this isn’t the worst we have seen, it is definitely on the lower end of our list. Avoid this hotel.

This was our second stay at Planet Hollywood, after a fantastic first stay 5 years ago. During this stay, we did not initially complain about our room—we upgraded to a king ultra resort room, and once again had no view and overlooked the air conditioning units, which were incredibly disruptive at night. To my shock, the windows were so dirty we could not see out of them clearly, the sink faucet did not work, and the shower light was flickering. I had very little expectation staying at a lower priced hotel and am not one to complain, but certainly did not expect for the service and cleanliness to have decreased so significantly over the last few years. On our second night, the bathtub almost flooded and would not stop running at full blast, despite being in the off position. After 2 hours with maintenance in and out of our room, we lost hours of sleep. During this we advocated for a different room, and Brian the manger was completely unwilling to assist us in moving into a different room. Brian told us there were no rooms available, all while we observed staff offering other guests in line upgraded rooms. This experience was completely unacceptable and I look forward to hearing from the compliance department. *Update: after not being moved to a new room, we were woken up to water flooding into the room through the ceiling and the lights at 6am. This is unrelated to our first issue, but as you can imagine we did not sleep last night, and then had to rush to pack. The individual who helped us at the front desk was fantastic and responded immediately. I also commend the engineering team for their quick response. This flooding of course was not the hotels fault, as it was the guest above us that flooded their room (which we found out was toilet water), however when we were promptly moved to a new room, this further proves the theory that there were in fact available rooms. I really wish Brian would have moved us originally at midnight when we first complained. You really can’t make up a story like this!

I was happy from beginning to end! First time in Vegas and staying here. I loved that we got an upgrade to start. We went from an average room with no windows to this nice room, and beautiful view! Thank you Planet for the upgrade! All the staff were nice, and helpful. Every area in this hotel was nice, and clean. I have nothing bad to say! You have to eat at CAFE HOLLYWOOD! They give a whole new meaning to breakfast. The potatoes were absolutely delicious 🤤 I loved the quick access to a Walgreens. It’s located in a great area on the strip!

Edited: My aunt went to the front desk. They were very helpful and kind. Found us a new room which was very clean. We'd stay again! Casino was nice. Miracle Mile was perfect. Restaurants delicious. Pool was odd... 2 pools on separate sides and seating in the middle with no access to pools. It was okay. Checked into our room tonight to find hairs in the tub. Dust on things. Hair in bed. Sticky counter tops and tables... Looks like coffee drops and smears. No one wiped them down. Bedspread has marks like it wasn't changed. Very upsetting since we were so excited to stay here. Front desk said they'll send someone up to clean but they don't know when they'll get here.
