    Beautiful Resort with Minor Issues - First Visit to Sandals Royal Barbados My husband and I recently stayed at Sandals Royal Barbados for our first Sandals experience, and overall, we had a wonderful time. From the moment we checked in until departure, the service was excellent and the resort itself is absolutely stunning. The property is beautifully maintained with gorgeous grounds, excellent amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay, which really enhanced our experience. However, there were a couple of issues worth noting. The phone in our room was not working for our entire stay, which made it difficult to contact the front desk or have means to communication (especially if we had an emergency) without leaving the room. For a resort of this caliber, having functioning in-room communication is important. Additionally, we were disappointed with the photography package. For the cost of the photos, we expected at least some basic editing, but the images we received appeared to have zero edits or retouching applied, which didn't seem to justify the price point. Despite these concerns, we still had a great experience overall. The beauty of the resort and the quality of service in most areas made for a memorable first visit to Sandals. With a few improvements in these areas, it would be absolutely perfect. Would we return? Yes, but we'd hope these issues are addressed for future guests.

    Where to start, my husband and I planned our wedding for Sandals South Coast Jamaica, unfortunately we were unable to travel there due to Hurricane Melissa. We had this all planned, and paid for a few months prior so we had to have our reservations changed to another resort so that we could utilize the time we had already taken off from work for our celebration, to make a long story short, Sandals made the transition so grievous, that our first time traveling with Sandals and wedding was just completely ruined. They absolutely refused to give us an even exchange for what we paid for if we had traveled to Jamaica. They downgraded our flight from business class to cabin, told us if we still wanted business we would have to pay an extra 555$, our room was downgraded from a private swim up, they fought us tooth and nail to allow us to do an exchange for our wedding venue which we had already paid extra for. We previously had family coming, but because of the change in plans was unable to attend, with that in mind, Sandals made the change in wedding packages a complete nightmare telling us we had to pay extra money for that too, even refusing to give us the 10 wedding photos that was included in the two love birds wedding package since it was just us two. They were completely unaccommodating , in complete disregard this was my wedding and a time that was very important to me that I had waited for. Then of course couldn’t even leave with any dignity as right before we left for the airport, they put more things on our room bill that didn’t belong, charged us for a candlelight dinner , then told us we couldn’t leave until we paid and there was nothing they could do to rectify the charge . Very disappointing, it really put a damper on our vacation. So warning to you who want to have a destination wedding, don’t go straight through Sandals!!! If there are complications or changes, they will not try and make things right!!!! Administration will make your trip hell! They will find an opportunity to take more money from you and make you seem like your the problem. Use a travel agent, or go to another resort outside of Sandals!!

    We went and enjoyed our honeymoon at the royal side at sandles resort . My husband and I had an amazing time. The resort was absolutely gorgeous. they did so many things for us the spa was amazing. Our three butlers that we had were absolutely amazing

    What an amazing resort! We have just returned from a 10 day holiday and have to say it was one on the best holidays my husband and I have had. We did book a Butler Elite room and wasn't too sure if it would've been worth. So glad we did!! Our butlers were amazing. Ron, Kev and Shak looked after us so well. From reserving our sunbeds, keeping us supplied with cocktails, brining us lunch on the beach and reserving our restaurants. They were amazing! We've left with wonderful memories and will definitely return 🌴😎☀️🥂

    Great trip! We have stayed over 100 nights at Sandals the last 15 years. This one of my favorites. Sandals is very consistent across their resorts. We stayed 11 days and I highly recommended staying at least 10 days.
