This hotel is absolutely terrible, my boyfriend booked us to stay here for my birthday as a surprise, I was really excited as it was freezing cold in the States and I couldn’t wait for some sun, the whole time we were there you feel that you are an inconvenience rather than a guest, the staff are so miserable and rude, there are one or two nice ones but it’s slim pickings. Our bed sheets had holes in them, mouldy cushions on the balcony, the gym is not that good, there is a cable machine with no attachments! And only one bench that everyone fights over and gym towels not replenished regularly so you just have to sweat all over the machines until more arrive. The buffet food is really bad, something you would find in a 2 or 3 star hotel, the salad bar had just leaves, no tomatoes, no cucumbers, nothing, breakfast had really watery oatmeal, and one person making coffees so you have to wait for ages, one night we went to the grill restaurant but the staff in there were the rudest we had come across so we didn’t go again. The toilets by the restaurant were usually out of toilet paper so you have to make sure you always carry tissues, the WiFi by the pool is bad, you can just about send a text. The night we went to the grill restaurant the toilets had sick in the sink and dirty nappies in there! The balcony at our room had no cover or shade so you can’t sit there in the day as it’s too hot, or if it rains! When chatting to other guests they all had complaints, mostly about the food and the staff, we met a couple that just got married, they had no champagne or anything in the room, even though it’s all inclusive it would have been a nice gesture, also one guest had do not disturb on the door and was asleep and a housekeeper tried to get in the room, which is really suspicious especially after now reading reviews with the amount of people at this hotel getting stuff stolen from the rooms by staff! Another guests room had flooded with the shower due to someone else’s hair blocked in the drain. You can’t swim in the ocean here as it’s too rough and the beach is dirty, so you are stuck to the pools, what’s the point of going to the Caribbean if you can’t swim in the ocean? The rooms are quite nice and spacious but that’s the only positive about this place!

From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The staff especially the young lady brown skin long curly hair can't remember her name she wrote for me, but I can't find the paper, however she went for and beyond her job to make sure everything that I want got done herself. The amenities were excellent and the overall vibe of the hotel made it easy to unwind and enjoy every moment. Whether you're travelling for business or relaxing getaway, this hotel delivers comfort, quality, great food and outstanding service. I would absolutely stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful experience.

Beautiful hotel on the eastern, less populated and quieter side of Barbados.! We had an oceanfront room with a spectacular view of the turquoise water and rocky coastline. The food and service was very good, especially at The Castleview Restaurant. It's an all- inclusive resort with several dining options. All we're good with choices including local cuisine that we enjoyed. There are several pools as well, all beautiful and a nice place to wile away the afternoon. Sam Lord's Castle, right on the edge of the property, added some historical interest, especially when a ship drifted onto the reef below the castle one afternoon of our stay. Apparently, the crew of the ship had been rescued off the boat near Ascension Island June of 2025 and the boat had been adrift since until it wrecked into the reef here near the hotel.

Very beautiful establishment. Our room was spacious, cozy, and stylish, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The patio offered pool views, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring great sleep. The scenery is wonderful! The resort boasts breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere perfect for relaxation. We especially loved the Castle View Bar & Restaurant for its delicious local cuisine. The Mediterranean Market was a daily treat, with fresh, high-quality options for everyone. We can't wait to return and highly recommend it for anyone seeking relaxation! A truly 5-star getaway!

My trip to Sam Lord’s Castle was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, everything was impressive—exceptional customer service, genuinely friendly staff, and breathtaking views throughout the resort. The team truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. A huge thank you to Akeem and Rachad at Guest Services for their incredible assistance, and to Chris for the perfect birthday dinner recommendation—it truly elevated my celebration. The entertainment team—Rashad, Rashawn, Rasheel, Cashka, and Shekinah—kept the energy high and the vibes fun throughout the trip. The night events were a highlight, especially with the DJs—Kris was amazing and kept everyone moving! The food and beverage staff absolutely deserve special recognition: Kira, Dedra, Marisa, Terrelle, Mykeil, Kijani, Shaquille, John, Shamar, and Damian provided outstanding service. They made sure all our drink wants and needs were met—our cups were never empty, and their attentiveness truly made us feel taken care of. That said, a bit of honest feedback: the buffet options were somewhat limited, and meal times—especially dinner—were pretty short. With all the drinks flowing, it would’ve been great to have food available later into the night. Also, while the nightlife was fun, it ended much too early—we would have loved to keep the party going until at least 2 a.m.! Even with those small drawbacks, the staff made this birthday the best one yet, and the overall experience was amazing. We will definitely be back to see this incredible team again. Sam Lord’s Castle has our hearts! 🌴🎉💛
