This review took me a while to gather because of a few things. But here we go. This hotel is very family friendly. The staff is friendly, I didn’t have anyone be rude to us and we traveled with a 10 month old and a 3 year old. This is probably what will save them in my rating, as well as the one restaurant on site that’s good. The room was clean, we could not complain there. Now here’s my anger… you cannot advertise a beach when there’s no access to it. That’s definitely false advertisement. On the flip side, I appreciated that they have a free bus transfer to a beach on the other side of the island. Not bad but just feels like a lie. The food is super meh. I actually got mean food poisoning and it was from the sushi. Do not have it. Stay away. What I suspect is happening, is that the country recently broke from England and they might be suffering in terms of support. Also, the pandemic. Many hotels are suffering because of post-pandemic times All in all… I definitely don’t recommend staying here. It is all inclusive, decent price but not worth it. Go elsewhere on the island. Barbados is amazing. Oh and it’s super close to the airport but what’s the point when it’s not that great.

Wyndham Sam Lord’s Castle All-Inclusive Resort ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5 stars) We recently stayed at Wyndham Sam Lord’s Castle and wanted to share an honest review of our experience. Cleanliness: 3/5 The resort is moderately clean. While common areas were generally maintained, there was definitely room for improvement in terms of overall upkeep and attention to detail, especially in guest rooms and public facilities. Food: 2/5 This was one of the more disappointing aspects of our stay. The buffet had limited variety and leaned heavily toward South Asian cuisine almost every day, which may not appeal to all guests. There’s only one snack bar available for quick bites, and even that wasn’t consistently stocked with options. Definitely not what you’d expect from an all-inclusive in terms of variety or quality. Activities: 1/5 Very little to do during the day, especially for families with kids. There were no daytime or children-specific activities, and most of the scheduled entertainment didn’t start until after 10 PM — far too late for families or those wanting a more balanced day of relaxation and fun. Hospitality: 4/5 On a more positive note, the staff were generally friendly and welcoming. We didn’t encounter any rudeness during our stay, and most team members were courteous and helpful. This was one of the few highlights of our experience. Overall Impression: Despite its branding and castle-themed allure, this resort doesn’t live up to 5-star expectations. Between the lackluster food, limited activities, and average cleanliness, we’d rate this as more of a 3-star property. It has potential, but it currently falls short in several key areas for an all-inclusive experience.

The service is top-notch, with friendly faces ready to assist with any request. The accommodations are nothing short of spectacular; my room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered breathtaking views of the ocean. The resort boasts a variety of dining options that cater to every palate. Each meal I enjoyed was a delightful experience, featuring fresh local ingredients and exquisite flavors. The infinity pool and pristine beach provided the perfect spots to unwind. What I appreciated most was the seamless blend of relaxation and activities available. Whether lounging by the pool, and exploring the local culture, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Overall, my stay at Wyndham Grand Barbados was nothing short of magical. I really wanted this trip to be what i have expected in my mind about this country. Overall it was good. The positives: +The resort is not too big , easy to navigate + The food is not diverse , but very good ( although I found a piece of hair one day). The food in Barbados is good. + The room are spacious and well cleaned everyday day. + If you have a cat allergy you can come. there are a few but not too much. The Negatives: - There is not much too do in terms of entertainment , so it can be a bit boring; - Customer services is not good at all. I have a cat allergy and the 1st day I got back and forth with the front desk about it. That lady was so rude. But she was not the only one. At the restaurant as well servers are not friendly( there are exception). - Service is S….L….O…..W and they do not anticipate the needs of the customers. - There is no swimming beach nearby and they only offer transfer to a beach 3/ per week. Once there it is not all inclusive, you have to pay for drink and food! I didn’t appreciate it. - Not very family friendly, Although there are families , not a lot for the kids to do on site .

Javon in the dining hall was outstanding — extremely professional, friendly, and welcoming. He took excellent care of us and even went the extra mile by suggesting places to visit and things to do, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, our experience with the pool bartender, Dwayne, was quite different. His professionalism and hospitality could use significant improvement. On multiple occasions, we noticed he treated us, as African American women, very differently compared to how he interacted with his Caucasian customers. This was both disappointing and concerning. Overall, aside from Javon, many of the employees we encountered could work on being more approachable and welcoming. Several acted as though we were inconveniencing them when asking questions or ordering food and drinks. That being said, the resort itself is beautiful — upscale, modern, and very clean. With some improvements in staff hospitality and consistency in service, the guest experience could match the high standards set by the property itself.
