Positano

Positano is an interpretation of its Amalfi Coast namesake serving authentic coastal Italian cuisine in a casual dining atmosphere. Dishes include freshly-caught frutti di mare from the surrounding Caribbean waters, handmade pastas with classic Italian sauces, and handcrafted pizzas from the signature Pizza Bar equipped with its own pizza oven. Sweet treats include the quintessential tiramisu, affogato and zeppole (Italian-style beignets).

With a wide selection of spirits and rums, and a chic terrace overlooking the azure Caribbean sea, Positano is the perfect spot for a sunset aperitivo. Diners can channel the vibe of an Italian piazza with an iconic Aperol Spritz or Lemontini, or embrace the island ambiance with a more tropical tipple – such as Barbados After The Dark – infused with local rum. Open from Tuesdays to Sundays, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM

I can’t say enough great things about The House. It Our trip to Bardados would not be the same if we didn’t stay here. The staff was EXCELLENT! The rooms were gorgeous and the food was top notch. We were greeted immediately and made to feel so welcome. We were treated to a complimentary 30 minute massage which we scheduled for day 2. The hotel can arrange everything from jet skiis to transportation to the tourist sites on the island. They had complimentary snorkel gear, paddle boards and a small wind sail. It’s been only 2 days since our trip ended and we truly miss the staff, the meals we enjoyed on the patio, and the pure feeling of “vacation”. My family and I will be returning the The House soon!!

This is a special find if you are looking for luxury, amazing food, and the best staff I have every encountered. The entire island is filled with caring kind people, but the staff here goes above and beyond. We were here for 5 days, and every meal, drink, question, or encounter was positive. Andrew is the funny and keeps you smiling! Wade and Devere are amazing bartenders and will make you the best drinks in the world. They are serious about their drinks and I promise they can make a drink for any occasion. Nice job gentlemen. Pat can make you the most amazing omelet and they are even better when she is singing (she has a beautiful voice). Kwise is has mastered the art of taking care of people! Sophia, Mark, Rico and Anthony were amazing servers (there were plenty of servers, but we were served by these amazing people). We broke a glass one night and Antwan was like a ninja cleaning up quickly with a smile on his face!

Phenomenal place with extraordinary staff! We have been MANY places, and generally have "been there done that, what's next?"....but The House and Barbados may be on our..."we really ought to do that again" list!

My husband and I stayed at this resort for our Anniversary. We were very disappointed in the customer service. They gave us a room that did not lock. Only the first door locked not the second door that’s used to enter the room. We had to push furniture up against the door to feel safe the first night because no one could help us. The next day we communicated with them about our door not locking so they assured us it would be fixed. My husband and I went back to our room after being provided a different key. The door was already unlocked so we assumed the key was working. We left back out for awhile and upon entering our room the second door did not lock. We made CS aware and they again told us they had it fixed. Well my husband seen the staff climb over the balcony and went in thru the patio door to unlock the door so we could enter our room. Once again no one was available to fix the lock. Again we had to push furniture up to the door to feel safe. Next issue the room had a smell. It reminded me of a sewer smell. We asked staff if we could change rooms and they told us the resort was sold out. So we was forced to stay in that room with sewer smell. Lastly, we scheduled a massage a week before arrival. When we went down to the spa no one was there. We waited there almost an hour an no one showed. They finally told us the lady who works in the spa called in. I asked why weren’t notified instead of wasting an hour of our day sitting here. No one had an answer for us. Our Anniversary trip was ruined. Not to mention the amount of money spent to get to Barbados

I am incredibly disappointed with the management of the Elegant chain . We had a confirmed booking at Waves Barbados, but they changed our hotel last minute, offering us their sister property, The Coral then The House etc. This was extremely inconvenient and caused a lot of stress as we had planned everything around staying at Waves. To make matters worse, communication was dreadful. They took ages to reply to our emails, leaving us in the dark and anxious about our accommodation. This level of service is unacceptable, especially given the reputation and cost of staying at such an establishment. I sincerely hope our stay improves, but this has left a very bad taste in our mouths. Avoid if you want a hassle-free vacation.
