The hotel is really beautiful with a wonderful garden especially. But in the end it's the people who work there to make your stay absolutely the best it can be who are the stars of the show. It's a really friendly and also professional team - altogether fantastic! Highly recommended.

Would not recommend, overpriced, obviously not managed properly, very unprofessionally managed, unhappy overworked employees with poor customer skills. Food is ok. Ambiance is very stuffy, uptight and dull. No privacy, small pool, beach is nothing out of the ordinary. Safe your money and book some better tropical high end resort. The services are very slow, no interest in informing guest about activities, non existent concierge services.

We had an fabulous time at Cobblers Cove. Staff was exceptional, friendly and professional. Food and drinks were great. The property was absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be back.

We decided to check out this hotel because it was rated highly by Condé Naste this year. Overall, not our cup of tea. We were expecting some self-awareness woven into the whimsical and aesthetic colonial environs, but the place is extremely British without the slightest hint of irony. Imposingly so. The property is lacking some luxury touches that usually come at this price point. The food is expensive, quite bland, and per the property’s rules, the only option (even then, with limited availability). Service is rigid with not much attention to guest comfort. There is no service to the deck loungers, you cannot eat there and you need to venture into the bar to get drinks. The staff do not pick up around the deck throughout the day, as such, many seats sit vacant unclear if anyone is returning. Except, the staff are sure to start clearing off the chairs and packing them away for the night starting promptly at 4:30 pm. Those aren’t uncovered again until 9:30 am. This practice gives the property an unwelcoming feeling. Especially in a place where most rooms are set back in the gardens, I would have liked to sit on the deck loungers in the evening and not on the moldy chair covers. The beach situation is less than ideal: there are no beach loungers and it seems like the hotel hardly expects guests to go into the water. But of course, this is the best thing about being in Barbados. For us, this stay was a helpful reminder that Barbados is indeed a land of luxury but those luxuries don’t cost what Cobblers Cove is charging - the sun, sand, and breathtaking blue waters; Mount Gay rum, fresh fish, real jerk chicken, roti and fish cakes. Next time, we’ll stay where we can get the classic Bajan comforts around the clock.

Overall, dated place and terrible service Shower points outside the door and goes all over floor making slip hazard- slipped and hurt my hip. No complimentary razors, shower sponge or toothbrush- for an expensive room I expected this and they tried to charge me so I went to a store, furious. There’s no TV in my room and I had noise from the road- not what I expected for a $1000+ a night room. We ordered separate beds- they came joined and we had to wait over an hour despite arriving late and being jet lagged for them to be separated- they didn’t even make the beds properly afterwards just put a thin bedsheet and didn’t apologise to us for an over hour long wait only said ‘they’d check our booking and if single beds they would separate them.’ (They were single in the booking) No sea beds- have to sit by rocks instead on an elevated platform. Staff are unfriendly and service is sooo slow! Unsure what you’re paying for with staying here- the location isn’t even unique and there seems to be a string of hotels with quiet semi private beaches along this area. I often waited hours for my meals and they forgot drinks such as my mojito, pina collada and sauces or sides so we had to remind staff who would huff and go to get the forgotten orders. Ran out of toilet roll as they never replenished it - as a girl with sanitary issues I was left in a frustrating position and had to phone the hotel for help. There is no toilet roll holder and the bathroom is dated. Asked for a heavy blanket as they give you only a sheet and they said they don’t know if they have one. Had to go back and ask three times I am not normally a critical person but even regulars hinted standards were slipping for this place. Not worth the price!
