5 night stay. Enjoyed our time. We did have 1 morning with water and AC issues but it was short lived and we were in a room with a connecting door which was odd (we probably cud have asked to move) but only heard neighbors once. Pools were great and the vibe on pool deck was great for young adults all the way to senior citizens.. We had really no issues with chairs on pool or beach, always found some. Food overall was good, I mean some is not upper class like the buffet isn't top notch food but really it was pretty good every time we went. Others are really good as we really enjoyed the steakhouse and the Italian place. Nightly entertainment was actually pretty good. The staff was really great, bar servers, to the bell hops right when you arrive. I actually got to really enjoy interacting with a few of them on a daily basis. Beach was pretty good, they work on it all day and it stays clean and we enjoyed it. I'm sure some resorts around might be more top scale, but really we enjoyed our time here and had fun every day!

Do not expect what you see in photos. When you book with a specialist they are getting kickbacks , even if your details are in writing the resort has the final decision. They do not honor what you booked. The buffet at best is clean they do not refill food for later guests ; which means if you running late to a paid event like rafting please eat there or wait until dinner reservations: which has to be made in advance on the restaurant on the resort. It says all inclusive but you do have to pay for premium liquor and food. And although tipping is not mandatory they make you feel bad for not tipping. Do not book tours without understanding what’s all included. I booked a city tour and was only stopped at 3 places. Buy your souvenirs at the airport it’s cheaper. The butlers are nice but doesn’t really add value for the amount of money we paid. They only booked the reservations and bring ice. We could have stayed at the Hilton or Excellence Hotel. Hear everything is expensive but if you book transportation for 200 bucks you expect to see a car that is not falling apart. The Jamaican folks I met were friendly. But it’s all for tips. You have been warned. lol
Chocolate Spirit
The food was substandard!! I went to four of the six restaurants and I will post a picture of the food they served us. They should be embarrassed, and the liquor selection for this resort was Unacceptable as well for a resort of the statue. I was in a group of 30 and three separate people one being a diamond member took four hours to check in. I realize I have been hurt on their pool that had a rickety/loose railing and when I went to the nurse, they didn’t even have an ace, bandage nor ice packs. It cost too much per night to have such low end food and beverage… It took a five star vacation down to a 3. The grounds and entertainment was fabulous though

The first night was crowded at the buffet area which I didn't like because of the large crowd (I think both resorts were combined for this) and there was a line which moved very slow, not much available seats but we got our food and seats. I guess this was due to their live entertainment they had that night. I really enjoyed the live show which was paying homage to Jamaica, the entertainment team did us proud by displaying our culture through dancing. The other 2 days were much better with the buffet area, no long line, no crowd and we were seated where we wanted to be seated. Overall it was quite relaxing, we had a good room location which was near to all the amenities.

My wife and I just returned from a week long stay. Right off the bat, I can't recommend this resort yet. The swim out suite wasn't what we had hoped. One of the sink bowls in the bathroom wasn't lined up correctly with the faucet. If used you'd just get water all over the counter. The shower has issues as well, the overhead waterfall didn't work at all. Even if it had you were never sure if the hot water would hold out for more then 2-3 minutes resulting in a cold shower. Also the swim out pool wasn't cleaned more then once during our stay. There were lots of drowned bugs floating around and the water was surprisingly chilly.
The food was hit and miss but admittedly I'm a picky eater. Also the service was usually disappointing. Between being seated for dinner and then waiting ten minutes or more before a waiter showed up. Then after your food was placed
, half the time you'd be almost finished before your first drink finally arrived. Sometimes you'd have to remind them you had ordered a drink, or the wait staff would forger what you ordered or even bring you another tables drink by mistake.
The bars were constantly running out of ingredients for cocktails. More then once I'd name 2-3 different common drinks only to be told they were out of this or that. I ended up drinking mostly beer on this trip which was disappointing as I was looking forward to trying different cocktails.
Lastly, the attitude on most of the employees was akin to asking for help at a Walmart. They clearly didn't want to help you, they were annoyed, and I genuinely considered leaving early after our first full day (non-refundable money spent was the only reason we didn't try to make other arrangements)
However, the beach is beautiful, the waves were fun to play in, and the pools were great. The location is gorgeous and the lady who cleaned our room was so kind and efficient. But I can't recommend this place to anyone just yet. They need to learn what hospitality is first.
