5 night stay. Enjoyed our time. We did have 1 morning with water and AC issues but it was short lived and we were in a room with a connecting door which was odd (we probably cud have asked to move) but only heard neighbors once. Pools were great and the vibe on pool deck was great for young adults all the way to senior citizens.. We had really no issues with chairs on pool or beach, always found some. Food overall was good, I mean some is not upper class like the buffet isn't top notch food but really it was pretty good every time we went. Others are really good as we really enjoyed the steakhouse and the Italian place. Nightly entertainment was actually pretty good. The staff was really great, bar servers, to the bell hops right when you arrive. I actually got to really enjoy interacting with a few of them on a daily basis. Beach was pretty good, they work on it all day and it stays clean and we enjoyed it. I'm sure some resorts around might be more top scale, but really we enjoyed our time here and had fun every day!

We booked this trip as a 50th anniversary family gathering for my parents. We were a group of 20 people spread between the Hideaway and the family friendly side (Royalton blue waters) The reason why we booked this property was that it is supposed to be a Marriott Autograph Collection property and we had positive experiences with Marriott in the past. This was the worst all-inclusive resort we have ever been to. We travel to at least one every year, and we have been to Jamaica twice before this on other properties with no issues. This didn't feel like a vacation.
Check In: From the moment we were in line for check-in we felt unwelcome. I was standing there for 20 minutes and this lady jumped in front of me in line and the receptionist took her right away and kept me waiting. Then the receptionist decided to walk off to show some other guests a room, while I was still waiting in line. She did not return for another 10 minutes or so and then went back to helping other guests yet again. Seeing my frustration another receptionist came to help. 30 Minutes later we got our room.
Pools & Outdoor Entertainment: The pools were nice and maintained well. The servers by the pool were nice. The entertainment team by the pool was rude and shaming people who were actually participating in their activities.
Safety: The overall safety of the property had me concerned. That elevator should not have been operating at the Hideaway. It was an accident waiting to happen.
Check Out: Upon check out, the same Elite Member who got escorted to pay for wine before they served it, was accused of not paying for the wine at check out, even though it is THEIR policy not to allow guests to charge things to their room.
Service: Every single staff with the exception of 2-3 were rude. Most of them made it very apparent that they wanted tips and they made it seem like they were doing you favors by simply doing their job. The front desk never answered the phone. Anytime you reported an issue it as never corrected. If it was corrected, it took multiple complaints and us getting angry.
This resort is not worthy of the Marriott name and is not worthy of your time and money. Avoid it at all costs!

Mixed emotions at this resort.
The room was cozy and comfortable, however the mirror light wasn’t working. But the shower pressure was strong!
The ambience of the resort was beautiful especially at night.
The staff friendliness was helpful however the rules in place for some of the events being hosted on the resort was biased.
The buffet food was ehh. Definitely a hit or miss. The only tasty thing to me was the beef stew, curry goat, the salad and fruit options.
The bartender Johnathan in the sports lounge was super fun! He made the experience one to remember! Very friendly and enthusiastic and the drinks he made were super good!

Great resort staff was very nice for the most part. The food was very good and accommodations were excellent as well. The bartenders were great. The server at Dorad Seafood Grill was the best. Great resort only thing they could improve on entertainment, We would go back to this resort.

Our stay at Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters from June 12-19 was far from the relaxing beach vacation we had hoped for. Despite the beautiful location, the resort had numerous issues that made our experience terrible. Terrible enough that by day 2 we were trying to figure out how to get out of the place. Other guests were saying similar things.
First, the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. To make matters worse, the lights in the bedroom wouldn’t work in the morning unless we opened the front door, which was very inconvenient. You have to open the front door of the suite to use the bathroom in the bedroom in the middle of the night… The air conditioning also turns off in the middle of the night, leaving us hot and restless. Additionally, there was a significant mosquito problem. Bugs constantly got into our room because the maids kept the doors open while cleaning. There are marks all over the walls and curtains of dead bugs. They’re everywhere in this area but they could at least take steps to keep them out of the rooms. Nothing like swatting bugs before shutting your eyes to sleep. On Sunday night, there was no running water, which was a major inconvenience as we’re getting ready for dinner.
The food at the resort was terrible. Not just sub-par. Terrible. The buffet was the worst we have ever experienced, and none of the restaurants were much better. If you’re lucky, you might find one decent item per meal, but overall, the food quality was severely lacking. One night, the fire alarms were going off in the buffet, and the staff continued serving food as if nothing was happening, which was quite alarming.
Our swim-out room had rocks at the bottom that hurt to step on, and there were spider webs on the handrails. The water level was kept below the skimmer boxes, resulting in lots of bugs floating in the water. This was fixed later in the week after we complained to our butler.
The resort closed all the umbrellas during what I would call moderately low winds, leaving us exposed to the intense sun, which was dangerous for fair-skinned guests like us. The pool area desperately needs more umbrellas. By 10 AM, all the umbrella spots were taken, leaving many guests to bake in the intense sun. The music at the main Hideaway pool was obnoxious. We went for a relaxing beach vacation, but the terrible trap music played from 11 AM to 5 PM every day, ruining our peace. This had to be one of the things that played the biggest part in ruining our trip.
Lifeguards were often not at their duty stations, and when they were, they were on their phones, not paying attention to the water. As Hideaway Diamond Club members with one of the most expensive rooms in the resort, we were unfairly kicked off the Diamond Club beach, being told it was for "Blue Waters only." Our butler, Ricardo, eventually resolved this issue, but it was an unnecessary hassle. The Hideaway Diamond Club beach on the peninsula at the east end was dirty, with lots of trash and furniture thrown around. There was no drink service or WiFi available in that area. Drink service at the main pools was either spot on or non existent depending on the day. The Hideaway Diamond Club beach had a lot of seaweed, but the staff did their best to clean it up.
Speaking of Ricardo, he was the only impressive part of our stay. He was very attentive and promptly handled our requests. However, having a butler may not be for everyone, as they tend to require a lot of your attention. We really just wanted a relaxing vacation and to keep to ourselves.
The live music entertainment at night was good quality and enjoyable, which was one of the few highlights.
This resort is 100% a party resort. Security did nothing to quiet the party in our swim-out room when the neighbors took over, blasting music and screaming late into the night. I would absolutely stay away if you’re looking for any toe of romantic or relaxing getaway. If you’re looking to party - here’s your place.
