Check in- Diamond Club -2* , you have to go through hoops for your $600 resort credits and once you get them it is nothing like explained Never received our welcome drink Was introduced to out butler but this is the only time we saw him besides when he brought our bags to room. Never saw him again, not even at checkout to carry our bags down. Not worth the extra hype Rooms- Diamond Club -2 * 7th floor, beautiful view, very small room. Shower only...and the water sucks. Either freezing cold or scolding hot. It's very hard to take a shower. Food- 3* nothing special at all. Breakfast is always good but be ready to wait in a long line for omelet or if you need anything made. Wait staff is slow and never really seems to excited to be there. Bars- 4* pool side bar took forever to get a order because bartenders where more concerned about the girls. Once you show a few dollars then they want to wait on you. Sherian was our favorite most attentive bar tender. She made great drinks and kept wonderful conversations. Weed smoking- 1***** 👎 my husband and I do not smoke and can't stand the smell. You could be at the main lobby and smell it, pools and outside restaurants. There needs to be a smoking area or have consideration of others. This was horrible!!! I understand it is legal there but not everyone wants it in their smell all the time. Be considerate. Elevator- 1* Come on...1 Elevator working while we was there. You had to wait sometimes for it to come back to you and few times bc it was soo packed. We where on the 7th floor so didn't take the stairs all the time. Overall- 1* We felt it wasn't worth what we paid for this resort. Good money spent and not a care that we where not happy. No one would even make a effort to make you feel more comfortable. We paid top dollar for Diamond Club as well. We made the best out of vacation even with all the hiccups. We love Jamaica and will definitely return yearly, just not to this resort.

We were in the Diamond Club so we were able to access assistance with them when needed. The team at Hideaway were incredible. Friendly and helpful. The restaurants were good and the buffet had so many things to choose from. Different every day. We didn’t culinary experience at an extra charge and it was fantastic! Drinks are VERY sweet ! The beach was clean and the pools were nice. We were on the adult side of the resort so any noise came from happy vacationers! Bring plenty of tip money - they don’t have much change on hand so it’s hard to break any bigger bills down for tips. And please tip the staff - they work hard! I know tips are included but they can use the extra if they are worth it. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable! I would highly recommend visiting and will probably come back!

Not all the reviews are right or wrong about this place. The dinner buffet was definitely a letdown but breakfast was fantastic. The restaurants were excellent as well. The rooms were a bit rundown and cosmetically flawed, but the beds were super comfy. We had robes and a restocked mini fridge daily. The property itself was INCREDIBLE. It was the most beautiful resort I've been to, but I've only been to a few so far. Easily walkable, quiet, not many kids (huge plus!). Anything we requested was provided. I felt safe and had a great time. It's an island so there were a few bugs, but nothing major. Staff was mostly friendly with the occasional sourpuss. Overall, I'd highly recommend for a budget-conscious first time trip to Montego Bay.

Disappointed with Diamond Club Experience – Beautiful Resort, Poor Service This was my second visit to Jamaica, and after a wonderful stay at another resort previously, I was excited to return. I booked this resort with high hopes, especially since I upgraded to the Diamond Club, expecting a premium experience with personalized service and better accommodations. Unfortunately, that expectation quickly unraveled from the moment we arrived. Arrival & Check-In: A Rough Start Day 1 set the tone. There was no clear signage or staff directing Diamond Club guests where to go for check-in. After wandering for a bit, we eventually found the Diamond Club lounge. Initially, the check-in experience felt welcoming—we were asked to sit down, enjoy a snack and a drink while our passports were taken. We assumed it would be a quick process and we’d be heading to our room shortly to unpack and start our vacation. Instead, we ended up waiting for over an hour, only to be approached by a representative trying to book us for a vacation club/timeshare presentation. It felt misleading and honestly, not the kind of welcome we were expecting. We were also told our butler would meet us upon arrival—this never happened. We didn’t meet or hear from the butler until much later, and by that time, the frustration had already set in. Room Disappointment & Poor Communication When we finally made it to our room, it wasn’t what we expected from a Diamond Club booking. The room was quite small, and definitely didn’t feel like an upgrade. We returned to the lounge to see if anything could be done. We politely requested to speak with a manager—not once during our stay did a manager ever appear or speak with us. We explained our concerns to a representative who said they’d look into alternative accommodations and advised us to check back in two days. We spent nearly another hour there going over options. At no point were we told there would be an additional charge for switching rooms. Had they communicated that upfront, we could’ve made a more informed decision and saved time and frustration. Two days later, when we followed up, we were told no changes could be made unless we paid extra. That lack of transparency and communication was a major disappointment. Butler Service – All Hype, No Help The butler service, which is supposed to be a Diamond Club perk, was honestly a letdown. The only communication we received was through a WhatsApp group chat, filled with clearly copy-and-pasted scripted messages. It felt incredibly impersonal. The butler rarely checked in directly, and when they did, it felt robotic. After a while, I started ignoring the messages because they added no value. If you’re expecting genuine attention or thoughtful service, don’t count on it. General Service & Resort Atmosphere One of the bright spots was the water sports team—they were friendly, energetic, and seemed to truly enjoy interacting with guests. However, throughout the rest of the resort, the staff often seemed either overwhelmed or indifferent. Many didn’t look happy to be there. The service overall felt very transactional—if you didn’t tip generously and frequently, you’d likely be waiting a long time for basic service. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere where guests felt pressured to tip just to be acknowledged. Final Thoughts The resort itself is undeniably beautiful. The grounds are well-kept, the beach is lovely, and there’s potential for a great vacation here. But the lack of proper customer service, disorganization, poor communication, and pushy timeshare reps seriously take away from the experience—especially when paying extra for Diamond Club. This resort has all the physical features of a five-star experience, but lacks the heart and professionalism that make a stay truly memorable. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this resort and can’t confidently recommend it to others—especially those considering the Diamond Club upgrade.

Purpose of Visit: Vacation with my husband- 20 year anniversary Rooms: *** we paid in Marriott points so were not eligible for diamond club or room choices but still had a partial ocean view (643) Robes, and was very clean. (We had a king room) Food: food was wonderful. We ate at Dorado, Armadillo, Grazie and the buffet. Dorado was my favorite. Jamaican night had more food than anyone could imagine and all was delicious. You need to make reservations through the app and some were sold out but we still were able to eat great food every night. The coffee and scoops cafe had the most amazing servers and were always polite. Here are my suggestions to keep in mind: 1. the only way you know what is going on is through the App—- disappointed there was not another way. 2. The hotel tolerates people getting up at 6am to put their towels and reserving seats at the beach and pool. If you want a shady spot, you take a risk sleeping in. 3. We tried to rent a cabana and they told us they were all sold out two days in a row… interesting because they were all empty both days??? I didn’t push the issue. They lost money not me. 4. Service: not everyone is happy… that is life. Are you always happy? No one was ever rude though. Some should not be in hospitality, some were amazing!!! 5. They are trying to sell you something from the time you walk in. Keep this in mind. From Spa services to your next vacation. They do take No for an answer and are not pushy… but still not something we wanted. 6. Beach/Pool: pools are very clean and beautiful. Swim up bar was more tame than expected but that was fine for us. Beach was beautiful three days and seaweed washed up on fourth but was still amazing. Public beach next door is gorgeous as well. 7. Adults Only: there were only kids at the buffet which was shared between both resorts. Otherwise all adults in pools and beach and Hideaway restaurants.
