Loved this resort! Incredibly friendly service, great amenities and nice rooms with comfy beds. Beach is great for younger kids and lounging but too small for those who like a long walk by the ocean. There are several pools, bars (including a great piano bar and sports bar) and fun areas for kids of all ages. Main buffet is really nice and accommodating to big groups right down to singles. Restaurants are also included in the price and have good food but were a bit slow. There is quality nightly entertainment and we found the resort to be fairly rocking for such a family friendly place. The flip side of that is that it was sometimes loud at night with music heard in our rooms till 10:30. The resort is right in Ocho Rios so you can walk into the town without needing a ride. It is also very close to Dunn’s Falls. It took us almost 2 hours to get there from Montego Bay, but the resort was well worth the drive.

We stayed at Moon Palace Jamaica in early December 2025 as a family with two kids, and it was a wonderful experience overall. The arrival was smooth, the transfer from Montego Bay was included and well organized, and once we entered the resort, everything felt calm, safe, and beautifully maintained. Even though Jamaica had recently gone through a hurricane, the hotel itself was in perfect condition. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. Our room situation was handled with care - we first changed rooms to better suit our kids, and later were upgraded to a Junior Suite with an absolutely stunning view. The food and restaurants exceeded our expectations, the beach is beautiful and peaceful, and there was so much to do for kids - from the kids club to arcade games and evening entertainment. We also used resort credits for excursions, including swimming with dolphins and visiting waterfalls, which were unforgettable experiences. Early December turned out to be a perfect time to visit: great weather, lower prices, and no holiday crowds. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend this resort, especially for families.

I have been to Jamaica 8+ times. I can tell you I have only stayed in one other resort that no longer exists where I felt this cared for and so welcomed. This was a beautiful place to stay with many offered amenities that were much cheaper here due to the resort credits. In reading some of the other reviews I’m honestly embarrassed that some did not find this place to be an absolute oasis. The staff is trained highly in customer service and they truly are what makes Jamaica shine! Was especially in love with Nicholas from security, all the wait staff, our housekeepers, our fridge stockers, and everyone who kept telling us they wanted us to have the best time! Thank you and we will be back!

From the moment I arrived I could tell that my stay would be wonderful. I was greeted with a cold towel and welcome drink by courteous members of staff. The property was clean and based on the layout I found it easy to get around. They had a wide variety of food and everything I had was flavourful. The room I booked was spacious and had an amazing view not to mention the 24/7 room service which had generous portions. There is also a game lounge and great nightly entertainment. Above all the staff served with pride and made me feel special during my stay.

The deluxe family room is very small. As you walk into the lobby it looks great, but you get to your room which is disappointing. Calling reception everything you ask for ie: coffee, soap, ect they tell you 15 minutes, hour later still no show, so you have to call again. So overall I don't rate this as a 5 star. Service more like a 3 star. Evening entertainment is not that good. Day entertainment at the pool is ok. Staff are very friendly. Reception alot of them tell you things what are incorrect, so maybe abit more training is needed. Overall had to make the best of it, for are granddaughters age 11 & 14. For Xmas, but would not come back to this hotel. Moon palace.
