We have been to several locations for Moon Palace. This one ranks in the middle. Different vibe completely but still a similar level of service. Not the same attention to detail as Cancun. Pools need some work. Many broken items with a patch on them for electrical and visual. There are parts of the resort that look amazing, then there are parts that look like a bandaid was placed on an old wound. We are palace elite and their program is still pretty aggressive. Buyer beware, Many promises and and always an upgrade which is not a real benefit. One of the biggest issues, is we did not stay in a balcony suite and we got the older building. You can't get in the bathroom because the door swings the wrong way. This needs to be re engineered. There are some electrical issues in the room as well, with the a/c going off in the night, not a good combo with the heat. We walked into town and felt very unsafe. Plan on staying in the resort or taking a tour. We attempted to schedule 2 tours, both they could not accommodate because their were not enough people. We were told to keep coming back instead of just being informed if it was cancelled. That didn't feel very elite. The workers here except for the bars and the coffee shop, seem to have the attitude that we are here for them not the vice versa.

My husband and I had a memorable experience at the spa, thanks to Sofia and Rachael. The level of service they provided was top notch. It made up for a few issues we had, primarily with the room and management of the main dining room when large groups were present. PR was receptive to the feedback we provided so we look forward to those things being ironed out by the next time we visit.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We did so many excursions right from the hotel. Swam with the dolphins, snorkeling, the kids went scuba diving and we did a sunset cruise for the adults. The food was delicious, the service was great and the drinks tasted great. We loved the crepe station. The rooms were nice and clean and we loved the smell of the lobby. The beach was beautiful and we enjoyed kayaking. It was family friendly. We would definitely recommend!

In 2024 I visited Jamaica and stayed in a few resorts one being Moon Palace. In 2025 I decided to spend two weeks in Moon Palace, because in my opinion, it is the best resort on the island. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all staff. Everyone is so welcoming and always has a smile on their face. In 2026, I plan to spend three weeks in Moon Palace. Everything they have to offer I would rate 5 stars, location, food, vibes. The team that stood out to me is all the lovely ladies who work in the play room. Thank you so much for providing an amazing service every single time for my son. My son is 5 and autistic and I find it very hard to “trust” people to care for him. I felt so at ease in the this resort and for this exact reason I will be returning next year. You ladies made my holiday thank you so much and I look forward to seeing you in 2026 !!

I stayed at Moon Palace to celebrate my 40th birthday with 7 other people, and overall, I was very disappointed. The first day felt like a complete waste, arriving at the airport at 12:30, reaching the hotel around 4:30, and waiting almost two hours just to check in. The resort is very large, but the food selection felt limited and repetitive, even though they offered a Jamaican dish daily. Lines to enter the buffet were long, and service was extremely slow—even when the restaurant wasn’t busy. Drinks were often unavailable, forcing me to mix my own, which upset my stomach, and I could never get pizza because it would always run out. The playroom was nice in theory, but in the evenings it was overcrowded, and kids would occupy the games for long periods, leaving no opportunity for others. Bathrooms in the building were dirty, some toilets didn’t work, there were no paper towels, and some stalls had broken lights. In my room, the mirror lights and bathroom outlets didn’t work, and despite complaining almost six times, nothing was fixed, and I never received updates. The drive from the airport felt boring without music or conversation, unlike previous experiences I’ve had in Jamaica. There were a few bright spots the beach party was entertaining, and Chef Andrew at one restaurant was engaging while cooking. One waiter tried hard to make my birthday special, and the staff singing “Happy Birthday” was appreciated. However, even these moments couldn’t compensate for the many issues with service, food, and maintenance. For a 5 star resort that charges so much, I expected far more. I won’t be returning.
