This was the best vacation we ever had. The resort was top-notch. Rooms were clean, and hospitality was amazing. All the food from the restaurants and room service was authentically fresh and tasted amazing. Nightly shows were great as well. Plenty to do in the resort, between the beach, pools, activities, restaurants, bars, lounges, etc. Will definitely be back soon!!!

The vacation planning staff is too caught up on trying to sell packages at the highest cost that they are slacking in customer service. Was here for our family reunion, scheduled 2 couples spa services at 3. When we arrived at the spa, we were told that one couple missed their appointment. Vacation services didn't confirm the time scheduled with the spa. We had to jump through hoops to get the spa to honor the time scheduled, as it was already charged to their room. That couple ended up only getting a 50 minute holistic massage, instead of the 80 minute hot stone massage originally scheduled. Not to mention, my cousin got stuck in the elevator for 20 minutes. The system went down on all of the elevators. The reunion was good. But Moon Palace doesn't keep their word. They offered so much at time of securing contract, but changed things as it got closer to our date. All in all, it's still a nice hotel.

Overall I think the Moon Palace was Great!!! Everything was all inclusive Food and drinks. The Staff was wonderful! Was always greeted by every staff that crossed my path. I really loved all the gym workout classes with Johnoy as well as the aerobic swim classes. My server from pool area was wonderful always checking on me

We are still in the middle of our visit but here is how we feel so far. If you expect the Moon Palace or Palace experience you get in Mexico you will be disappointed. The hotel itself is on a very nice beach and has great pools. The rooms are not in great shape and multiple lights didn't work in our room even asking for them to be fixed. AC is hit or miss at best, from what I understand AC is not part of the culture so it's a very low priority. Staff is great or have no desire to work. Most of them seem to not want to work, unlike what we experience at other Palace Resorts. There are a few who are great but it is the minority. Staff at the playroom were always "on break" when we stopped in. Spa and vacation planners were annoyed when you wanted to book or get service. The food was ok no real complaints except no kids meals even though the app they want you to use shows kids menus. So some dinners was harder to find food our kid would eat. The new beach is great so part of me wants to come back but the service is so lacking it's hard to say for sure. Our room faced the beach and the first two nights it was impossible to sleep as there was a party down the beach with pounding music until 2am. It's a public beach so not the hotels fault but something to understand if your room faces that way.

Wow, what a difference in a year. Last year my wife and I had an amazing vacation here at Moon Palace. So nice that we booked a longer stay this year (currently here) with our kids. Let’s just say it’s been a pretty bad experience overall. The waitstaff and the staff in general seem not to care about the service they are providing. The food is not nearly as good as last year, and the service has been poor. We are currently under a lockdown due to a hurricane. You would think that they would have a better plan of execution for contingencies like this. Oh, i forgot to mention that we are VIP members at this resort, but definitely not feeling like a valued member. And now we’re forced to stay here because of the Hurricane. The ONLY saving grace to this vacation has been our friend Lorraine who works here at the pool. Do better Moon Palace. We definitely will NOT be back.
