My wife and I were just here in April, it is a beautiful resort. We stayed in a deluxe swim up in building 3, room was ok, most important the bed was comfortable and the A/C worked which is mostly what we care about. Also rhe swim up and chill was exactly what we were looking for. We actually originally had a premium room booked but had to rebook our stay due to a medical emergency, we looked at a premium room in building 12 but my wife did notice a musty smell so we stuck to our original and were happy. The pools were very clean and saw people cleaning in the morning almost every day. The staff is super friendly, Jehnoy our bartender at the pool was fantastic! If you just wanted to chill out and mostly float in pools, look at the ocean and swim in the beautiful clear warm waters then this resort will do the trick! The only downside for us was the food, I saw lots of great reviews for the food and had high expectations, sadly us and many other people we talked to were disappointed in the food. Also 2 restaurants weren't open, I believe due to low capacity at the resort which I can understand. I wouldn't call the food bad, I would say it's on the good side of average. Evey fish I had was cooked perfectly and I was happy with it, but very little seasoning. I would also just skip the Italian restaurant. The best good was the BBQ on the beach and that was delicious! But only one day sadly. Otherwise the burgers at Westend were our next favorite. The breakfasts were good, but they didn't have salt and pepper readily available, had to ask which they did bring some. I probably wouldn't stay here again unless we came with our friends with their kids as the pools were amazing and was a very chill resort.

We recently stayed at the resort and overall had a good experience, thanks in large part to the amazing staff—especially Dwayne and Tamera. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine care made a big difference and truly elevated our stay. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of, and it really showed. That said, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The room itself felt a bit dated and could definitely benefit from an upgrade. When we first arrived, the water pressure in the bathroom was spotty, although it did sort itself out eventually. The hallway paint was peeling in some areas, which took away from the overall appearance of the resort. As for the dining experiences: the food was decent, but there were some drawbacks. The wait times to be seated and served were consistently long, especially at the Asian restaurant. Mahogany, unfortunately, had quite a few flies inside, which made it difficult to enjoy the meal. On the upside, the Italian restaurant was consistently good, though it’s quite small, so the wait times there were also on the longer side. Despite the facility-related shortcomings, the staff did an incredible job making the most of what they had. Dwayne and Tamera, in particular, made the experience memorable with their kindness and top-notch service. With a few updates and attention to detail, this resort has the potential to go from good to exceptional.

This property is one of the older ones and it is obviously showing its age. Despite that, they have done a decent job of maintaining it. They do seem to be a bit disorganized in that we had back-to-back bookings, but the staff didn't keep track of it and ended up reassigning our spot on the beach. The turn down service only happened once during our 6 night stay. Even the small bottle of Rum cream that was given as a gift was stolen from the room, but management wasn't too bothered to find out who did it. One of the days the hot water wasn't available and another day there wasn't any water in the taps for an hour. I called the front desk and they said maintenance would come by but no one ever did. Thankfully it came back eventually. There were some staff who definitely went above and beyond to make our stay great, but overall it didn't hit the mark. The food was underwhelming. The Mahogany open kitchen and the Italian Di Romagna restaurant were the only ones that were decent. The staff at the Kids place were amazing at looking after our child whenever we dropped her there. The location and beach are great, but unfortunately, this isn't a place we would come back to stay.

I was excited when I saw the pictures and ratings for this all inclusive resort. We have been to 4/5 star resorts and this is NOT it! The only thing this resort has going for it is the location along the 7 mile beach. The buildings are in need of repair and pool furniture or lack there of, is breaking down. Cushions have stains on them. The pools are murky and full of floating debris. They are not cleaned daily! The staff overall is not friendly and make you feel as if you are putting them out when asking for a drink or beach towel (which they are always out of!). They are not grateful for the tips and rarely say thank you. The wait at the restaurants is unacceptable (1 hour 45 minute was told to the couple in front of us) We are Prestige members and are able to make reservations and were told at one restaurant that we still had to wait 45 minutes! I would not recommend this resort. It gives Jamaica a bad name! The only redeeming quality was our personal butlers Roxanne and Marklan. They were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and wanted!

We had a fantastic March break at Azul Negril! The resort is a bit tired but the staff makes up for all of it! And then the beach is just gorgeous. Our butlers were incredible! Tamera was with us the first few days and could not have been more attentive. She was everywhere and helped us with anything we needed. Dwayne took over for a few days afterwards and was great as well. Then the two of them were there for us for the last few days. Our trip would not have been anywhere near as great without them. The other staff that we want to highlight are: Shanika - west end coffee Rochelle - west end coffee Travis - Beach server Telicia - Beach server Paula - maid (super helpful!) Kerrian - Main bar Damaine- pool bar Rocquelle- Ackee restaurant Kerry-ann - Ackee restaurant Marion - Mahogany restaurant Keneshia- maid (Amazing!) If you go on an excursion, ask for Captain Sheldon. He is the most authentic and insightful captain. He will make sure you see the sights and learn about the island and people. This was our third time at the resort and will confirm, this resort is about the incredible Jamaican people and the unbelievable beach!
