The atmosphere was nice and the staff was very friendly. I felt safe and the grounds were kept very clean. However, the lighting in the room needs improvement, so getting ready was a bit annoying and the rooms could do with some updates. The food was good though I only ate Jamaican food so not sure how the “international” food tastes. I will say that they could add an additional buffet and late night/ 24/7 food option as late night food was pretty limited. Additionally, there was a lot premium options to pay for which was weird since it’s an “all-inclusive resort.” Overall my friends and I had a good time.

Dream wedding come true! My wife and I recently held a destination wedding here with about 42 guests and it exceed our expectations tenfold. Natresha our wedding coordinator went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Along with that, all the staff were exceptional. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the entire resort always offered something to do. We absolutely loved our swim-up room! The all-inclusiveness really makes it worthwhile. You truly can relax here without hesitation! The food was amazing, and it is recommended to make reservations to the on-site restaurants as soon as you arrive. The grab and go spots are perfect if you want a quick snack by the pool or the beach. We would absolutely recommend this resort if you are looking for a great vacation spot, or as a stand-out location for a destination wedding! We can’t wait to go back 🇯🇲🌴

I have zero desire to ever go back to this resort, or Jamaica again. I have stayed at the Hyatt Zilara in Cancun and it is amazing. This resort was disappointing. I'd say about half of the staff were either rude or made me feel like we were bothering them. Some were amazing, but the large percentage of those who were "annoyed" by us made me feel unwelcome. Polar opposite of what the Hyatt Zilara in Cancun is like. The buildings were, in general, falling apart. Chunks of siding and trim were missing on the exterior walls. The comforter and sheets in our room always felt damp. AC somewhat worked. Mini fridge would not get cold. TV worked maybe 50% of the time. The food was hit-and-miss. There was an amazing outdoor buffet the day we arrived. We went to the Italian place the next day and the pepperoni on my pizza was rotten. I took one bite and could not eat anything else. The service was extremely slow as well. The hibachi place was booked every night so I can not review it. The Urban Heats place has a great breakfast. The servers, for the most part, had zero personality and rarely refilled drinks. I tipped well, but found it difficult to justify doing so. The pool was clean and the water temps were great. However, the deck is dangerously slippery. If this were in the US, there would have been enough lawsuits to shut the place down. A lady fell and had a compound fracture of her arm while we were there. Walk carefully. The beach.......the swimmable area is small. However, bring snorkeling gear because you will see a nice variety of sea life. Some people in our group did want to go to some of the shopping areas for souvenirs. The hotel will send an escort with you who will cherry pick the places you can go to. Partly for your safety and partly to keep the money in certain places. I have no issue with walking to areas in Cancun, but not here. Guests were loud all through the night. The people across the hall from us fought every single night. Yelling at 3am like clockwork. The paper thin walls allowed us to be woken up by it and hear every detail. Music playing at all hours of the night. Not the type of behavior you would expect at a 5-star, adult resort. How this is considered a 5-star hotel is beyond me. Would I go here again? No. Would I recommend any of my friends to go here? No.

Hyatt Zilara was cool for what it was — definitely a solid spot for relaxing with just a sprinkle of turn up energy. If I’m ever looking for a chill vacation where I can lounge by the pool and sip strong drinks (that aren’t too sweet!), I’d go back. The restaurants had great-tasting food, but the biggest downside was that the food was almost always cold, which was disappointing. The dinner buffet was decent, but the other buffets didn’t really hit for me. Other than that, the drinks, the vibe, and the scenery were all on point.

The entire staff was a delight. The room I had was great, a little dated, but the private pool made up for it. The food was great. Wish the restaurants were 1st come 1 serve rather than RSVP.
