I recently booked a three-day stay at this resort as a quick getaway to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Based on the online reviews, I decided to give it a try, hoping for a memorable and relaxing experience. Unfortunately, my stay has been anything but enjoyable. The experience started off on a positive note. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, which initially reassured me that I had made a good choice. However, the issues began the moment I entered our room. The air was filled with an overpowering smell of chemicals or paint, which immediately triggered an asthma attack. I had to use my emergency inhaler to stabilize my breathing—a distressing start to what was supposed to be a relaxing trip. I promptly called the front desk to report the issue. A gentleman answered the phone but didn’t speak a single word—not even to ask me to hold—leaving me frustrated and confused. Since I received no assistance over the phone, I decided to walk down to the front desk to address the issue in person. When I explained the situation, I was met with indifference. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the severity of what had occurred. While they did move us to another room, it felt like a downgrade rather than a resolution. The original room I booked offered a view of the pool and ocean from the fourth floor, which was one of the reasons I chose this resort. The new room, however, faced a wall—completely diminishing the experience and failing to meet the expectations set by my reservation. What’s most disappointing is the lack of empathy and effort to provide an adequate solution. No one took responsibility or made any attempt to compensate for the inconvenience, the health risk, or the overall dissatisfaction. This situation could have been handled with much more professionalism and care, which would have left me with a better impression of the resort. This was meant to be a special occasion, and I initially told my husband that this might be a great place to bring our family for a future vacation. However, this experience has left a bad impression, and I can confidently say I will not be returning. For anyone considering this resort, I strongly recommend doing thorough research and weighing other options before booking. My stay has been highly disappointing, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this resort to others.

Wayne from the entertainment team was so helpful, cool and friendly. Takes the best.pictures in the hotel. Also had a fantastic time at this Japanese restaurant! The staff were friendly and attentive, and they made my birthday so special with a song and a surprise cake. Michael and Chadwick were especially lovely. Highly recommend both the restaurant and the hotel if you’re visiting Jamaica!

We had so much fun we didn't want to leave. The VIEWS are spectacular. The rooms need an upgrade but I was barely in the room, I didn't care. The beach parties, pool, drinks, entertainment, staff were AMAZING. We felt like family. Special shootouts to Marcus(one of the chefs) He was our favorite. Simone(housekeeper) She was the best. The Entire entertainment crew, skinny, string bean, the females. I laughed a lot. Everyone was nice to my family and I. I would recommend.

Lovely family friendly hotel. Staff is great and going them constantly cleaning the areas. The pool does need better filter and circulation to keep the sun cream oils not surfacing. It was about off putting to get in the pool seeing the oils on the surface. Food is not bad but might not be for everyone’s taste. My ultimate favourite is the gym and the pool entertainment. Zeus is a great gym trainer. Wayne, Concrete, Skinny and the whole entertainment team is the best.

I can't say enough about this beautiful resort. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Our concierge was the best! The food was so delicious. We had a private dinner on the beach, that words can't describe how beautiful it was from the waitress to the chef. I will recommend this resort to any and everyone. Our guest stayed at the Grand and also agreed. Thanks Jamaica....You Did Your Thing!!!!
