From the moment I arrived, they aggressively promoted diamond club membership for $400 per room, with a random butler assigned to each room. The food was mediocre, reminiscent of a Chinese buffet. The rooms were outdated and damaged, with stains on the bedsheets and in the shower. The room service was equally poor, with food that was always cold and the menu lacking in variety. They tried to trick me into purchasing a free massage package, but every staff member I encountered started by asking how my stay was going and if I had heard about their promotion. This made me realize that the staff was not genuine. The front desk manager, Esteban, was particularly incompetent and had a major issue. I had requested compensation for three separate issues during my week-long stay, but the manager refused to provide any. For issues that it was the Hotel’s fault not mine at all. Another frustrating aspect was that all the restaurants required reservations, which were always booked out in the app. I had to go to the concierge to try to get a booking, but it was impossible to book out more than two days in advance. And even then, I could only get one reservation per day. The most annoying thing was when I arrived for the beginning of my check-in. They told me that my room wasn’t ready by three, but that was just so that the travel agency in the excursion could try to get me to buy things. My room was already ready, and they were just trying to squeeze extra money out of me. In conclusion, I strongly advise you to explore other hotels for a more pleasant stay. If you’re looking to avoid any hassle and don’t want to book here at the end of the day, it’s best to steer clear. They prioritize cost-cutting measures over providing quality hospitality and common sense. One glaring red flag is their disregard for their own policy. They don’t follow the “do not disturb” sign on your door. They’ll still open it, regardless of whether they think they need to clean the room twice. I’ve had my door open, feeling completely exposed. Lastly I had reach out 4 times to have house keeping bring more toiletries like basic toilet paper and to clean my room I’ve never had to chase down a cleaning lady before. Don’t come to this hotel there are much better hotels around facility than this facility itself And if you are not a diamond club member they could care less about you

This place was not great. I know many resorts are average, but this one was below. On my first day, I found stains on my pillows and inside the large tub in my room. Everyday, the food was below average (which is what you expect from a resort that caters to tons of people everyday, I guess). The food was so bad I didn't even want to be hungry, too salty or too bland, and many things, especially the rice, were overcooked and hard. The only things I found good were their croissants and a couple desserts. Service was TERRIBLE - encountered a few times where we needed help, and staff would send us to another staff, who would send us to another, basically giving us the runaround. The golf carts don't answer their phones if you need to get around quickly. Nobody wants to help you unless you hand them a tip - we asked a server for extra forks and she ignored us because someone else nearby had tipped her. I understand that they don't make a huge salary as service workers, but the attitude and apathy many of them have is unnecessary, especially when you're being kind and respectful to them. The only thing nice about this place is the beach, and even then you're disturbed by men trying to sell you things, which is a horrible experience as a woman. Not going here again.

Very Disappointed – I Do Not Recommend I stayed at the Royalton Bávaro in Punta Cana at the end of July last year with my mom and family. We rented two rooms and had a wonderful experience. The service, the food, the entertainment, the cleanliness—everything was excellent. I left extremely happy and impressed. That’s why I decided to come back this year with even more family—this time we booked five rooms—but unfortunately, it has been a complete disappointment. From the moment we checked in, everything has been a problem. One of the rooms with a private pool had dirty water that wasn’t circulating properly, and the water level was low. In my room, there was a dehumidifier placed right next to the jacuzzi, which made the whole experience feel unpleasant. Another room had a bad odor, and we had to file a complaint and request a change. In yet another room, the hot water wasn’t working. On Tuesday, our towels weren’t changed, and when I asked, they said it would be done in the afternoon—but it never happened. Room service was terrible: I requested food that never arrived, and the minibar was never restocked unless I specifically asked. I made a reservation at one of the à la carte restaurants for the entire family. While the staff was kind, the menu was limited, the food wasn’t enough, and we had to order extra dishes. This was nowhere near the quality of last year’s experience. I’ve had to file multiple complaints during my stay, and although the employees have been professional and tried to help, it’s extremely disappointing to be constantly following up on issues while you’re supposed to be on vacation. I feel bad for bringing my family back based on the great experience I had before, only to face this level of service. The quality of this hotel has significantly declined in just one year—from the food, service, and overall maintenance. It’s truly a shame to see a place fall so hard. Sadly, I do not recommend it to anyone.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – A Warning to Potential Guests!** I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at this hotel to warn others. As a Diamond member, I expected a high standard of service, but what we encountered was far from that. First and foremost, the service was incredibly disappointing. We tried to make dinner reservations at the hotel restaurants, only to be told repeatedly that they were fully booked. It felt like a joke, especially given our status and the assurances we received upon check-in. To add to the disappointment, we did not receive the room we had booked. The suggestion to change rooms midway through our stay was not only inconvenient but also unacceptable. This is not what I expect from a hotel of this caliber. Management, I urge you to take a close look at these issues. Your guests deserve far better. I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience. Stay away if you value your time and comfort!

The hotel is nice and clean but the beach is unswimmable in July due to seaweed. They should warn people before they go. Spent time, travel, immigration frustration to get to the beach. My teen daughter and I were extremely disappointed. We traveled there for the beach. Otherwise, hotel is nice, fun shows at night. Pools have zero character. Sent an email to them with no response. I know 5he seaweed is not their fault but they advertise beautiful beaches, which we didn't get.
