Overall, my experience was spectacular. I want to give special thanks to my concierge Adonis Sanchez, who made my stay so much easier. He took care of booking our restaurant reservations, arranging our two rooms close together so my family could be nearby, and he checked in on us every single day. All the staff were super friendly and always willing to help. The housekeeping ladies did an excellent job, cleaning our rooms daily and changing the towels (I stayed in building 11). The bartenders were also amazing—very attentive and always full of energy. As for the facilities, they are quite good but definitely need more maintenance. The pools have some broken areas that can be a bit dangerous; in fact, my child got a small cut on the second day, though thankfully it wasn’t serious. Overall, the hotel looks a little dated, which explains the need for more upkeep.

I really hate writing bad reviews.. but I’m writing to let future potential customers know what we thought of the resort during our stay. We just got back home and stayed at this hotel for 5 days, first thing we noticed was how un-fresh the food was at the buffets, lobby etc. Seems like they re-use the food from previous nights since they taste stale and old. They leave the meats out all day with flies sitting and flying around. There was only selective food at the buffet I was able to tolerate but the buffet doesn’t open until 6pm! The restaurants had slow and terrible service since there was a huge language barrier and always got our food order wrong, and taste was horrible. :( pools close at around 6pm which kinda sucked. We also were given a “butler” but their idea of butler was different than what we thought. Throughout the 5 days we only saw him 3 times. But WAIT.. the first part of the stay was on day 1. The fire alarms kept going off every 2 hours and we had no sleep. Found out the hotel has had this issue for years and never fixed up. Of course we complained and one of the front desk girls rolled her eyes and was giving attitude to the point where when we would ask to call for the golf cart, she would pretend to call in for us and we would end up waiting 20 minutes! Sorry we couldn’t sleep??? I don’t understand. They ended up fixing it for us in our rooms and offered a refund for the day, until we find out when we check out they apparently “did not promise anything”. We did get a complimentary dinner by the sea so that was great. The room was dirty. Dusty, stains, mildew. Beds, pillows, and towels had stains, and the place just did not feel sanitary. I clean houses for a living! Other than that, grateful for the trip, but we should not have been this upset with a “5 star” all inclusive resort

We were returning guests at this resort after a great experience last year, which we recommended to many friends and family. Unfortunately, this year has been a huge letdown. The service is now very poor and the staff seems uninterested(and we tip well, not cheap at all). They’ve also changed their restaurant booking system so you have to talk to their sales team just to make reservations, except for the teppanyaki. Overall, it’s like night and day from our previous visit. We heard there’s new management, which might explain the decline. In short, don’t set your expectations too high—really, the beach is the only highlight left. Chose a different resort its now a 3 ⭐️ at best.

Very Disappointed – I Do Not Recommend I stayed at the Royalton Bávaro in Punta Cana at the end of July last year with my mom and family. We rented two rooms and had a wonderful experience. The service, the food, the entertainment, the cleanliness—everything was excellent. I left extremely happy and impressed. That’s why I decided to come back this year with even more family—this time we booked five rooms—but unfortunately, it has been a complete disappointment. From the moment we checked in, everything has been a problem. One of the rooms with a private pool had dirty water that wasn’t circulating properly, and the water level was low. In my room, there was a dehumidifier placed right next to the jacuzzi, which made the whole experience feel unpleasant. Another room had a bad odor, and we had to file a complaint and request a change. In yet another room, the hot water wasn’t working. On Tuesday, our towels weren’t changed, and when I asked, they said it would be done in the afternoon—but it never happened. Room service was terrible: I requested food that never arrived, and the minibar was never restocked unless I specifically asked. I made a reservation at one of the à la carte restaurants for the entire family. While the staff was kind, the menu was limited, the food wasn’t enough, and we had to order extra dishes. This was nowhere near the quality of last year’s experience. I’ve had to file multiple complaints during my stay, and although the employees have been professional and tried to help, it’s extremely disappointing to be constantly following up on issues while you’re supposed to be on vacation. I feel bad for bringing my family back based on the great experience I had before, only to face this level of service. The quality of this hotel has significantly declined in just one year—from the food, service, and overall maintenance. It’s truly a shame to see a place fall so hard. Sadly, I do not recommend it to anyone.

Do Not stay here, there were so many issues and they either refused to help or just ignored my requests. - Check in was ok, we met our buttler who said he would help us throughout our trip, but later found out this wasn't always the case. - We got to the room and found the a/c didn't work, the bathroom was missing shampoo and soap. We asked our Butler for these items to be fixed and he said they would be, but never were fixed. Despite us asking each for refills we never got them the entire 5 days we were there. - The fire alarm went off 5 times during the night keeping us up all night. The next morning we went down to talk to the staff and they sent over a "manager" who I don't know if she was or not, but she said we would be refunded for one night and also given a free beachside dinner. On the last day at checkout I asked for a receipt with the refund for the one night and it wasn't on there. The manager said she didn't tell me this. So she lied striaght to my face even though she told me I would get a refund for the night. Also if you look at other reviews you can see this fire alarm issue has been a problem going back to 2022. - The Butler service is a waste of money, they don't do anything helpful for you. They meet you the first day and yes they will arrange reservations for you as you are there via Whatsapp. But they never are with you helping out in person. This is not what a butler should be doing, they should be there to get you stuff and help you personally with things. - Also at the pools there's no servers walking around taking drink orders, you have to go up to the bars to order, yes there's swim up bars but that doesn't help if you want to lay by the beach in a bed or by the pools. This is supposed to be a vacation at a resort they should have servers taking drink orders. - Also the pools and bars all close at 5 and 6pm. Way too early to enjoy them all day. - The food selections are awful, the buffet uses old food over and over each day, the sit down resturaunts are awful with their food. We went to Hibachi and the steak was so hard a rubber tire would have been easier to chew through. - The spa claimed it has a hot tub, but it's barely room tempature. Def. not a hot tub - We had 2 Presidental Suites, (The best rooms they offer) and it includes golf cart transportation, but this is a joke. Unless you get lucky most of the time you wait 10-20 mins for a golf cart to pick you up, you have walked to your destination by the time they get to you. - Lastly the resort rooms are not that up to date and need repairs.
