We stayed at the beautiful hotel at Punta Cana. It is a beautiful resort. The rooms are big and well cleaned. We only had a problem with the hot tub that was leaking but the staff did their best to solve the issue. We had an extraordinary person/butler who helped us with every question and issue that we had. True this way we want to thank Eduardo for everything that he has done for us! I had a problem with glasses, he helped me! We had a health issue with our little son and he helped me with it too! Nothing was too hard or to difficult for him. Thanks to him we had a wonderful time! Also the rest of the staff of the diamond club did there upper best to give us a wonderful time. They always walked around with a smile, talked or goofed around with the kids or sang at the pool bar.. big thanks to Royalton Bavaro to have us there and for providing us a wonderful time!

Our butler, Michael, was fantastic!!! Despite our demanding requests and frequent changes, he navigated our constant shifting in plans with true professionalism and booked us (all 10 of us) delicious dinners all 6 nights! He truly is a five star!
I put an overall 4 star, though, for service as the attention to detail with housekeeping was not there. Sometimes we’d be without hand towels, facecloths…not consistent. As well our fridge stopped working on our fourth day, we told the concierge twice, and it was never fixed. (We should have told Michael as I’m sure he would have ensured it was done)
Royalton Bavaro sits alongside a beautiful beach surrounded with an expanse of nature. The weather was perfect and the array of different things available to do did not disappoint!
Overall an amazing trip for the family!

Stayed here for 7 days fantastic resort. Food was really good. Would recommend the Rio Brazilian steak house, Zen, however I would suggest getting to the restaurants early as the reservations fill up quickly. During the nightly entertainment I HIGHLY suggest the server Candida as the drinks and service were impeccable she made our trip!!

My family and I just returned from Royalton on 4/5/24. First, I would like to say the positive aspects of the resort. It's very kid-friendly, with multiple pools and a big lazy river with several slides throughout. The buffet provided great food items for picky kid eaters, such as chicken nuggets, pizza, fries, and nachos.
We were able to relax and enjoy our stay, feeling completely secure at the resort. However, we did notice that some additional lighting could enhance the safety of the walking path.
The biggest negative of this resort was that some staff members preferred to serve Caucasian guests over us. We had several experiences of this and witnessed it happen to other African American guests.
The next thing was being asked to participate in a "welcome breakfast" by staff member Carina. She begged our family to attend the breakfast where we would hear a presentation about the new 'Diamond Program." She told us it would be 30 minutes, so we agreed. She hounded us the morning of to make sure we would attend, then, before walking into the office, she said, "The meeting is actually 90 minutes, but please still attend cause I need this to certify my job, and you will receive a $50 voucher afterward." We felt like we couldn't say no and attended the presentation, which was a sales pitch for purchasing a vacation package. we were lied to and wasted 2.5 hours of our morning.
Other things to note: I decided to take a bath one night and realized the drain did not open to let the water out. Maintenance had to be called.
Also, dinner reservations fill up very quickly. We had to be in line 15 minutes before the restaurant opened to add our name to the list. We found this out after getting dressed and walking down to dinner the day before, only to be told that they were booked for the night. After doing all of that, the food could have been better.

Client satisfaction is NOT their priority. As a welcome gift, I had to wait in line for 2 hours to check in at the hotel. This was the first of many lines we had to face during our 1-week stay. We had to line up for everything, which is not surprising when you see how many rooms they have and their facilities can't hold the number of people they had. People were starting to line up for the Italian restaurant, for example, 1 hour before it was open.
Another downside of this hotel, which was supposed to be all-inclusive, is that they are trying to upsell you ALL THE TIME. If you are expecting to have a nice service, be prepared to bribe the employees. With rare exceptions, if you don't give them money first, it feels like you are bothering them, as another guest I talked to pointed out perfectly.
The beach is very nice: clean white sand and warm clear water. Getting a lounge chair to relax in the shade is another issue. They have a lot of them, but not enough for the amount of people in the hotel. So what were people doing? Going to the beach before breakfast to put a towel or some of their belongings on the chairs to reserve them for when they came back. Even around the pools, people were doing this.
To summarize, I had a terrible experience overall even though the weather and the ocean were great, but that you would have gotten with any other hotel along this shoreline.
