We had a great stay at Moon Palace Sunshine. The resort is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained, with a lively yet relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, the service was excellent, and the staff consistently went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. One thing to note is that reservations for most of the restaurants can be difficult to secure, especially during busy periods, so planning ahead is important. Once we were able to dine, the food quality and variety were very good. Overall, Moon Palace Sunshine is a fantastic resort with great amenities and service, and we would happily recommend it.

Moon Palace Cancun is a great resort! The service is very good—everyone is professional and friendly. We loved that there are so many different restaurants; the food was delicious and the bars were excellent. ​It’s definitely kid-friendly with plenty of activities and lots of pools. Each pool area has its own food and bar service, which is super convenient. It’s a bit pricey, but you definitely get a premium experience for the cost. Perfect for a family vacation!

I am currently staying at Moon Palace with my boyfriend and wanted to share our experience while we are still here (we are on day 4 of 7). I visited this resort about ten years ago with my family and had such an amazing experience that I spent years saving so I could return as an adult. I bragged to everyone about how incredible this resort was and was so excited to finally come back. Unfortunately, this visit has been extremely disappointing, and each day has continued to get worse. One of the biggest issues has been the constant pressure to upgrade to The Grand. From the beginning, we were heavily encouraged to upgrade and were told about all of the “extra amenities and benefits,” which created a very uncomfortable atmosphere that felt like separated classes between those who can afford upgrades and those who cannot. It took away from what should feel like a relaxing, all-inclusive experience. We were also very misled about the resort credits. When I visited years ago, there were not nearly as many restrictions. This time, we were told credits could be used for the spa, gift shop, and extra amenities, but what was not clearly explained were the strict limits. Only $150 can be used toward the spa, tours require us to pay for our own transportation, and the gift shop credits are only valid for very limited items such as bags and sunglasses. Because we saved for this trip, we were truly counting on being able to use these credits as advertised. Instead, we’ve essentially been told they can’t really be used for much of anything. When we spoke with a staff member about this, they were not helpful and simply acknowledged that we wouldn’t be able to use most of our credits, without offering any solutions or alternatives. For an all-inclusive resort at this price point, we were not expecting to constantly pay extra for things that should feel included. Another noticeable change is the food options. Years ago, there were many more casual walk-up spots where you could grab a slice of pizza or a steak without needing a sit-down reservation. Now, those quick and convenient options are very limited, which has been disappointing. While much of the staff has been kind and service overall has been good, the changes to the resort experience have overshadowed that. For the cost of this trip, I truly did not expect to feel this frustrated or misled. I am very saddened to say that unless something is done to make this right, I would not consider returning, which is heartbreaking given how highly I once spoke about this resort. Since we are still currently here, I am hoping someone can reach out to help resolve these concerns in some way, whether through clarification, accommodations, or compensation for the misleading resort credits and overall experience.

Overall we had a great trip. There were lots of activities for our kids and the playroom was a great option. The rooms were a bit small and there was no place to sit (like a couch) but we were not really in the room much. Amazing customer service everywhere we went. The food varied: some great and some was just okay. Getting reservations for dinner was impractical for our family of 5 (young kids sonwe can't wait to 9pm) but room service was great. The lunch and dinner buffets were mediocre. MOMO buffet for breakfast was very good.

I recently completed a 5-night stay at Moon Palace Nizuc. I want to extend a special thank you to Irving at Customer Service; his calm demeanor and clear communication ensured we felt well-cared for during every interaction. Additionally, Patricia at the Awe Spa provided exceptional service, and Denis, one of the golf cart drivers, was incredibly kind and helpful. The culinary experience was a highlight, with delicious meals at Agra, Habibi, and Manglar. We also enjoyed the luxury of having a hot tub in our room. However, while the service from the individuals mentioned above was stellar, I found that some of the restaurant and poolside staff could have been more welcoming and pleasant. Unfortunately, our sleep quality was poor throughout the stay. Despite using a plug-in repellent, we dealt with persistent mosquitoes, and I am concerned there may have been bed bugs, as noted in other recent reviews. While there were many positives, these issues leave me uncertain about returning.
