Wait staff and host/hostess staff at the resort are great. We enjoyed breakfasts at Vela with Abel and Wilbuhr, dinner at Auma with Israel, who was so great that we changed our reservations to have him again at LaLuce. Belkys and Aracely, the hostesses at Vela always had a smile when I showed up and knew that I liked to eat on the patio. Also like to mention Veronica at Vela for dinner and our other Veronica poolside. We never wanted for anything. We visited during and EXTREMELY busy time and the staff did a good job inspite of some of some of the less than pleasant guests. Enjoyed our time here. Really great staff.

Over all I would say this is a nice place to have a family vacation. The best part is the food selection at the buffet place. It was that good that we didn’t even bother to do reservations for the sit down restaurants at the resort. The only draw back is the resort is not at the hotel zone in Cancun which makes it not so convenient if you want to step out on your own. However, there is a courtesy shuttle service that takes you into town. Special thanks to one of the most courteous server Dafnee, you can tell she takes pride in what she does. Always with a smile on her face and very attentive to our needs. Our stay was also made enjoyable by Nancy and Federico at the buffet restaurant.

The resort is excellent with beautiful restaurants, excellent food, a great location very close to the airport and nice rooms. However, what made our stay exceptional was some of the staff members. Specifically Diego, Alex, and Federico, who work as a team in the restaurants and at the buffet, were so focused on making our time there as wonderful as possible. They went above and beyond to make sure we received great service. They were also intent on making us feel like we were the most important people in the restaurant. And they succeeded. Their personal interactions made us feel like family. Their warmness made us look forward to seeing them for breakfast every day. Wonderful people like them made our stay a great experience.

Been to several resorts since Cancun is a short flight from Florida. View is great! Food was ok — buffet was nothing spectacular but the steakhouse was good. In terms of service, there were two standouts. Baldemar at the Lobby bar was awesome! He’s super friendly and made us feel very welcome. He’s one of the best bartenders we have had. Another standout was Adrian at La Luce. Great server. Very attentive but not obtrusive.

Well executed resort, exceeded expectations! The amenities are state of the art. The views are very good, and the interior design is incredibly neatly done and friendly. The pools and fitness amenities are great, the restaurants are amazing, and the activity selection was very fun and engaging, especially at the gym. The outdoor sabor de Mexico was so good, we wish it came more than just Fridays. We also really liked the drinks selection. Staff that were outstanding were the 4-5 concierge staff we interacted with, Javier from the fitness room, David from Maxal, and Abelardo and Alexis from La Luce. The room service and cleaning staff were great as well! The rooms washroom doors are not well designed however, the full glass length without stoppers or large enough gaps gave one of us a deep cut on a toe. The glass washroom walls are also not very family friendly Another complaint was the relative remoteness of the resort (and the topes on the access road were motion sickness inducing) and the beach, but those are minor. That being said, the complimentary buses to the Canopy in the hotel zone mostly makes up for it.
