I will preface this by stating that I am a Hilton employee. My standards for hotel have changed a lot since working at a hotel and I notice everything since I’ve been staying at a lot of hotels.
From the moment I stepped onto this resort, my expectations were exceeded. The check-in was not busy so after being greeted by the bellman, I breezed through the check-in.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and very chic. My favourite is the balcony and view of the pool area and ocean front. Everyone we encountered was super hospitable and we never felt like we had to wait for anything. I am also not a picky eater so I thought the food was good
and unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to try the Italian restaurant. Pro tip: make your reservations early in the day, their office closes at 5pm.
There’s 24 hour room service. I feel bad I ordered too much sometimes. Just take it easy 🤣
I appreciate the staff from the pool area, lobby, to the restaurants. Thank you all for making my stay a truly relaxing one. I cannot recommend enough.

The staff is extremely friendly and ready to meet every request. We got room service breakfast every day, for lunch we ate tacos from the taco bar (delicious), and dinner we made reservations at all of the restaurants. All of the food was fantastic, no complaints!
The rooms are very clean and well kept, upgrade to ocean view if you can, the balcony is very large. I would recommend reserving dinner at the desk to make it easier. I would also recommend bringing a few towels down to the pool around 9-10 am to grab a seat before it fills up. If not, there are still usually a few open seats. Pool is clean and very nice, drinks are yummy too.
On our last night a big crowd showed up, not very family friendly. I believe there is a festival in town, worth looking into before you book!

Cleanliness is a big issue here. The cutlery and the glasses on our table was dirty (so dirty that they didn't seem washed). The drinks smelled bad.
The food and the drinks are below average. I do not think the chefs have tasted their own food. Limited options in drinks and the bartenders think too much of themselves.
The service is even worse. Smaller portions meant that we had to order more than 1 main dish and we got a bad look from the server. They don't like it when you ask for an extra dip or salsa.
Everything is about up selling right from check in to check out.
The only saving grace here was Dulce Castro who was an amazing and lovely concierge.

Overall a great experience. The hotel is huge with lots of open and unused spaces, and yet they manage to funnel most foot traffic through 4ft wide corridors which is odd. They also have a big problem regarding reservation for the restaurants and pool loungers. Restaurants require hour long queues to book, there are seldom spots available for same day dining, and once you
few spots available, and once you get there there seem to be a lot of empty tables.
Pool loungers are gone quickly as guests place towels to reserve them early in the morning. Then they leave for hours or perhaps the whole day, leaving several families without seating in the pool area.
Our room was located above the suppliers’ loading bay and we could hear beeps and noises from trucks reversing all day long. It was also a sub-standard room with very sober finishings such as a cheap plastic shower curtain and rod. I could tell other rooms were nicer when peeking through an open door when cleaning was being done. The bed was great.
Aside from these items, the food and drink is good, and the staff are always friendly and willing to help. The kids club has lots to do for kids over 3, and a dedicated time slot for the smaller ones to play with their parents. They also lend out beach balls and sand castle digging tools for you to use.
I’d certainly come back, but bearing all these things in mind and learning all the hacks one must do to enjoy the stay to the fullest.

This was my second stay here and I will not be returning. Hotel is in need of maintenance- carpeting in hallways ripped, cracked tiles, broken glass pendant light in elevator, general wear and tear. They have a major shoreline erosion issue as you can see in the photos. If you have kids and are looking for a cruise boat type experience this is for you. If you want quiet, to be able to find an open beach chair by the pool (people do dibs by going down at 7am and putting towels on all the chairs), and a dinner reservation before 9pm (you have to stand in line at 7am when the experience office opens to make dinner reservations - only 3 at a time- and even then the only available slots
were 9pm or later) - look elsewhere. Food was okay. Service was good. They did recognize my birthday which was a nice touch.
