Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa is like a fancy cake that someone sat on. The staff are delightful, always ready to help, and the drinks? Pure perfection! Bartenders ensured my glass was never empty, which was great because the nightly shows looked like something my little brother put together in the basement. But who cares about that when you're there for the booze and buffet, right?
The construction turned the dining experience into a game of musical chairs, but the poolside buffet was a saving grace with its tasty and diverse options. The resort and rooms were cleaner than my browser history, and the jungle beach atmosphere was a nice touch. Overall, it’s a good spot with potential, but it’s not quite five-star—more like a solid 3.5 stars!

I would not recommend this resort! I have been to a few other's in Mexico and this one was very lacking! Expect no little AC in your room or in any of the restaurants! Our room wouldn't go below 73°F and it was uncomfortable to sleep for my entire family! Many other guests had the same issue with their rooms. Especially if your room is not in the upgraded section. The restaurants were so hot we were sweating while we ate every meal unless seated outside.
There are not enough towels for everyone! Many guests had to call everyday for towels! You would only find out that they took all your towels after you came back from the pool and had to wait to shower or change. If a family of 4 is staying in a room, 4 towels should be given automatically as is customary at every other resort.
The staff was a lot of fun, especially at the pool area. Mardo in the Cafe was the nicest guy! They have a great staff, they just need to work on their AC everywhere and the restaurants to compete with other resorts for this price!

Absolutely beautiful location entertainment team was phenomenal. Love them. It actually made our experience perfect. They did such a fantastic job. I can’t even believe the energy that they have from the water to all the games and the bartenders at the swim up pool. Do a great job too and don’t forget about Pedro at the sports bar. He’s wonderful and Consuelo who makes those wonderful eggs.
My only complaint is that the beach was not very pretty. The seaweed was horrible and I was expecting the ocean to look a lot prettier..
The shows in the evening were so much fun. Live entertainment was so wonderful too.

On the whole, our trip was fine. The food is good and most of the staff is friendly.
The biggest issues we had were with one restaurant, Portafino, and disorganization. On the restaurant, we were placed on a wait list while larger groups were allowed in. When I brought it up, the hostess smirked and said our table would be ready eventually. The next night, she wouldn’t allow our group to sit until everyone was there. While this would be ok, they let another group in later without the full party.
For organization, the staff doesn’t seem to know how to handle misunderstandings and mistakes. We had reserved a Family Junior Suite. When we arrived, we were put in two adjoining rooms. When we asked, they said that the other was already booked. That’s fine, but they didn’t reduce the price even though there was a significant difference in price. Later they gave us a $200 voucher but only gave us a day to use it.
Not a bad value but the hotel has some work to do to improve their processes.

I am currently at the resort and having the worst experience ever. I checked in last night to a room with a broken AC and mini cooler. It took 3 hours and two people to fix it, causing me to miss dinner and evening entertainment. At 11 PM, I was moved to another room with a working AC but a broken mini fridge. I had to call maintenance again around 12:30 AM, they told me the mini fridge was broken and needed to be replaced, which would take another 20 minutes. I couldn’t wait that long as I had a really long day and just wanted to sleep. So the whole night, I had no cold water or beverages.
My room service order of just a Caesar salad and fries took more than 2 hours to arrive yesterday. The room is infested with lots and lots of mosquitoes, and I barely slept, finally getting to sleep at 2 AM and waking up at 5:30 AM - whole night was spent in itching due to mosquitoes. When I addressed these issues with the concierge, they said it was normal. This lack of empathy and poor service is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed and highly dissatisfied with my stay.
