We had an amazing stay at this resort in November 2025. We absolutely loved our stay. There were just a couple of issues with the room that were dealt with by staff promptly. One was that the sliding door handle came off. The other one was that the hand towel rack was loose. I found the whole resort very pleasant to walk around. The food at the restaurants was fine with the exception of the Italian restaurant which was amazing! Staff throughout the resort were very friendly and helpful. I just encountered one member of staff who was a bit dismissive when I asked for towels. That did not damp my day, as the rest of the staff were always smiling and friendly. The pool is quite big which is great but it's a bit cold. My watch registered a 26C temperature. The ocean felt warmer! Speaking of the ocean, the beach was fine. There was seaweed washed up on the beach everyday but nothing terrible. However, if you're looking for nice, turquoise water, this beach is not it. My son was stung by a jellyfish while in the ocean. We immediately applied after bite cream and the first aid staff at the hotel applied vinegar. The sting was very painful but with these measures the burn went away quickly. We spent most of the time by the pool enjoying drinks and food and just relaxing. Overall, I would recommend this resort if you're looking to unwind and have good service and food. The only minor downside is the beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time this past week at Dreams Sapphire. We were a little bit hesitant after reviews and recent photos right before our trip, but were very happy to see that the beach is lovely and that the food is very good. Andy at the beach made our entire trip, every morning welcoming us, remembering our names and even drink orders and preferences! He is outstanding and very hard working. Eduardo at the seaside grill was excellent every lunch we had, always providing best recommendations (the shrimp tacos!) and taking allergies very seriously (peanuts). We loved the Italian restaurant, all service was excellent there and the food is just as good as a nice restaurant back home in Canada where we are from. Overall, worth it for us and a well needed reset.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights Jan 2026. Loved the food variety and quality. We were able to experience all the restaurants (no reservations necessary). Five stars to Alberto, who always greeted us very kindly for breakfast! The main lobby is very peaceful; perfect for reading your book without sitting in full on sun. There are a few suggestions we have for resort owner: 1) Create an area dedicated to yoga and offer 1-2 class options a day (currently no yoga is offered at this resort). The photo attached shows an area on the resort that would be perfect for this purpose. This area plus the building attached behind, did not have any activity during our stay. 2) Heat your hot tub to a minimum of 100 F (it is currently lukewarm ~88F). 3) Stop supporting beach chair reservations by guests draping towel on chairs. Have staff clear away orphaned towels multiple times during the day. I would recommend future guests to make sure to book some excursions! The entertainment on the resort will not be enough to keep you busy. Overall, we would recommend this resort to others.

January 2026 When our room was finally ready they took us to it and the door was wide open, come to find out the door didn’t even close because the latch was broke so maintenance was supposed to come to fix it and we had to wait 30 mins then finally asked a housekeeper if they could help us! Someone finally came and fixed it! Our patio light was hanging by the wires and did not work. They didn’t even give us all the towels we needed. Never restocked our fridge, supplied us a small bottle of rum which my roommate had a couple shots out of and we come back to it gone so they threw it away and didn’t replace it. Our beach front view was looking at a pile of seaweed cause that’s where they dumb it and other peoples room! Completely saw a guest taking a bath on his balcony cause that’s all we see when we went out on the patio! (Room 610 so don’t get that room) We paid extra to be preferred members because we wanted the rooftop pool that overlooked the ocean (only reason we even booked this place) only to be kicked out of it because we weren’t “indigo” members which no one even knew was an option! But we could pay $60 a day to be one but if you wanted it one day you had to pay everyday the rest of your stay! There was never any beach or pool chairs available! No entertainment! Everything closed way too early! Adult only/preferred pool closed at 5pm and the main pool closed at 7pm. No lights on the beach so at night it’s not like you could see anything if you wanted to walk the beach. The staff were incredible though! Huge shoutout to all of them. Very nice and friendly! However most resorts you have waiters coming up to you a lot checking on you and here I felt like we had to go up to the bar ourselves to get a drink and then there would be only one bartender so it took forever cause so many people needed something! Beach was full of seaweed which I know they can’t prevent but that wasn’t the crystal clear pictures they advertised! If you’re wanting to party or be a family resort this is NOT the place for you!!! Much better places!

Perfect Getaway at Dreams Sapphire My wife and I recently spent a fantastic weekend at Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa in Cancun for a friend's wedding—we were thrilled to leave the kids with the grandparents for this much-needed break! Our stay was spectacular from start to finish. Our Preferred Room in the Indigo building was truly amazing, offering gorgeous views and exceptional comfort. The food was consistently great, and the service was always on point; every staff member was friendly and attentive. We also took a memorable snorkeling trip with Caribbean Top Tours Mexico. Their representative, Edgar, was highly informative and knowledgeable, answering all our questions. Our snorkeling guide, Mauricio, deserves a special mention—he was great, considerate, and all-around excellent, ensuring a wonderful and safe experience for everyone. We would recommend Dreams Sapphire to anyone looking for an incredible experience in Cancun!
