I have to say this hotel deserves 10* for its customer service. One of the best...we went in without any prior booking for lunch doing the north coast after getting stark refusals from most 5* hotels...coin de mire was our last resort and i have to say from the security guard to the waiter to the manager...everyone of you deserve a big pat on the back from your owner cause you make the hotel what it is. Oftentimes big hotels disregard locals and this time i was deeply touched by the warmth of the staff. The setting is like a lil' paradise in itself and a relaxing get away...very in touch with ecological issues. Will definitely go again.

Beautiful and cozy hotel. The staff was amazing, very friendly and always ready to help. Food was delicious and there was a large choice to satisfy everyone's taste. There was also good entertainment and we had an excellent time with the family. Thank you, Coin de Mire Attitude, for the fabulous experience. I will definitely come back.

My husband and myself stayed here in April and I can't understand where all these great reviews are coming from. We ended up complaining while we were there and with our travel agent Hays Travel when we got home. Main issue was the food.... I don't want to be horrible but I have to be honest it was absolutely vile. The choice was very very poor and the quality of the food was shocking. We did tell the staff as they asked why I was only eating bread (which we later found mould on). The brought the chef out and asked what the problem was and what should he cook. It did t get any better and we ende up getting a taxi to eat out or I would have starved.. there wasn't any restaurants close by so always had to get a taxi.
Other main issue we had was that the water kept going off in our room which happened at least 4 times.. normally while we were in the shower shampooed up... took.hours to come back on.. we paid over 5k for the holiday and were so gutted

Clean rooms, excellent staff. Overall a really nice experience.
Only the venters on the beach were a little bit frustrating, as they will always come to you when you decide to relax on the beach.

We were super happy with our choice and had a magnificent stay. The compound is more like a village and the traditional houses amidst the tropical garden combined with lots of natural material and modern design give it a calming, laid back and yet luxurious vibe. The staff is super friendly, attentive and helpful. For a while you can almost feel like part of a mauritian family ...
The garden is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, simple but tasteful. Everything is kept very clean and neat.
We can especially recommend the mauritian a la carte restaurant (which is included) that highlights mauritian cuisine in a modern, classy way. The cocktails are great (wines not so much though), the coffee was good (!) and the offer at the restaurant is more than enough and various.
We really liked all those "little" extras like the water fountains spread on the compound, the tea bar, the also free possibilities to rent kayaks or pedalos and go on a boat trip to go snorkeling or swimming in the lagoon. That was great!
They really try to make an effort sustainability-wise like instead of using sugar and cream in single packages it comes in jars and jugs and also in the room you get a lovely tray with little glass jars filled with coffee and tea. Super cute! The little boutique sells a well chosen variety of local and sustainable souvenirs and even considering the entertainment they are keeping it local and support not only local culture but well chosen artists.
After a lot of hotel experiences we can safely say that we never experienced that actual staff came to us 3 or 4 times during our stay and made sure we were happy! WOW!
We felt close to mauritian culture, well looked after and basked in the tasteful ambiance! It was magnifique. Merci a tous!
