My family and I had an excellent experience at this all inclusive resort. The staff works hard to accommodate its guests. We had such an amazing experience here and hope to visit again in the future. Food: A La Carte- fantastic! When we couldn’t get reservations for every night, I emailed the resort and they helped me land reservations. Buffet- delicious! Good variety. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast every morning and sometimes came for lunch too. My only complaint is that a few of the items in the buffet area was not labeled with transparency about pork, so I had to be cautious and ask. We also tried the snack bar and room service and enjoyed both! The coffee shop was delicious and always well stocked with yummy pastries! Babies: Staff always brought extra water bottles and milk for us when we asked, as we needed it for babies. Staff also helped us lift our stroller on and off the trolleys which was a big help. Entertainment: We enjoyed the group activities around the pool deck! Special shout out to Ramon, Giovanny, Mariana and Karla, who were all especially social and friendly. Guest Service: Thank you Nayeli for a smooth check in process and for accommodating a room with a short walk due to our children, and shout to Saltiel who was especially helpful with reservations. Spa: Thank you Eloisa from the Bahia Spa Coba facility for the excellent facial and message. Your friendliness and professionalism made it an excellent experience. Photography: Thank you Santos for the excellent and creative shots, you are great with children! Housekeeping was efficient and consistent with their schedule! Maintenance staff was courteous and helpful. Everyone we encountered on the property was friendly and helpful! Property: -The grounds are very well kept and clean. There was also always some minor upkeep work happening on the property- nothing that caused disruption- which tells me that management is always on top of the maintenance! -The beach and pool have plentiful seating. -Seaweed was never a huge issue.

I highly recommend this hotel for families. This is already my fourth stay here. The food, rooms, and service are absolutely wonderful. Special recognition goes to the Entertainment Team members, Ramon and Jonathan. These gentlemen are a true asset to the hotel. They lead fantastic animations, dances, and activities, radiating extremely positive energy. They have an excellent rapport with both children and adults, are very polite, and treat every guest with great respect. Oh man - where do we start? We’ve visited 5 continents and this was our favourite vacation ever. One week in a renovated 2-bedroom suite (Villa 54). Service was impeccable, the buffet was incredible (variety, flavour, presentation), the beach great, grounds beautiful and clean as a whistle. From our arrival to our leaving, we were beyond happy with everything. Not many places you could say “don’t change a thing”, but this was it for us. We will definitely be back to visit this paradise and the fantastic servers, bartenders, lobby staff, lifeguards, etc. Bravo to the Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal!!

Had a lovely vacation. Amazing staff who are very kind and attentive especially Elizabeth, Jonathan, and the entertainment staff at the main Akumal pool. We were visiting as part of a large group so I didn’t know what to expect but the service was wonderful from all the staff we interacted with. One downside was that we could not all be seated together for the a la carte dinners despite none of the restaurants being fully booked. We were told that they don’t seat tables with more than eight people because otherwise it would be too loud. We also were only given late seatings 8:30-9:00 and that was not the most appreciated by the wait staff (not that they gave us worse service because of the timing though!). The hotel complex is quite large but the shuttles are plentiful and frequent. Our room was lovely and in one of the updated villas which was a nice surprise. Lots of wildlife on the property too. If you’re into birdwatching you’ll definitely see a few unique specimens without having to leave the hotel! Breakfast buffet 10/10. What a wonderful first visit to the Yucatan peninsula!

We had a blast at this resort for my best friend’s bachelor party! The service was fantastic, and the resort itself was amazing. The staff were super friendly, and the food was pretty good. The buffet wasn’t always top-notch, but on Fridays, they had unlimited lobsters! The restaurants were incredible, though they were usually packed. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the drinks. They all had this weird chemical taste to them. The Pepsi Blacks were a hit, though! Overall, it was a great resort, and I’d definitely recommend it.
