I was expecting luxury and got average. The buffet is very poor, not enough for choice for UK people and the food that we did eat was average quality, sometimes very poor, once we resorted to eating bread and cheese for our meal. The bars close earlier than advertised, unless you tip the barman you are served last. Too many times at 10pm we were told no more spirits only beer! Sometimes half way through a round we were given a spirits drink and the rest had to be beer as the clock passed from 9.59 to 10.00pm. This as you can imagine was not received well by us, we complained and got champagne amd strawberries in our room and a private meal on the beach, but the service DID NOT CHANGE. We would rather have had better bar service than the "freebies". We booked all inclusive for a reason. The only bar that stayed open later than 11pm was down by the adult pool. This being part of the snack restaurant, completely away from the main hotel and there was no atmosphere. It was not all bad, the pools are clean, the gardens are well maintained, most of the restaurants are good quality, room service excellent, clean rooms, the trolley service around the grounds is excellent. Don't bother going to the casino, they take 7% of any winnings over a $100 and my wife was laughed at for losing on the roulette. No Nightclub on the grounds other than at the hacienda, this being full of the locals and this shuts at 1am. its not actually a club its an open area outside the bar with Spanish music being played. We expected all amenities to be good not most of them. We wont be going back. We would not recommend this hotel,

We stayed at the Sian Kaan for 11 nites and wish we had booked a room here instead. You can use all the Bahia hotels on this complex bit we only travelled to this one. I can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay here but there was alot of renovation work going on, upgrading rooms so and certain areas. There was no noise so can't complain on this. The resort itself is beautiful. It has the beach, and a great complex of swimming pools, a couple of these are adult only so we're perfect. We really enjoyed our pool days here, so much better than Sian Kaan. The lobby is beautiful too with a big fountain in the middle. We visited the sports bar which was perfect for us. Great drinks and service. We also visited the main bar/theatre and this was amazing too, some great shows. All in all a great resort.

All the staff are amazing, really friendly and go out of their way to help. Rooms cleaned twice a day and spotless. The fridge filled up and new towels provided. Excellent choice of food at the buffet and the restaurants are great. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool. The shuttle buses are very regular internal and to other hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay, it was our first time visiting this resort after visiting Mexico for many years. Hands down, Olga is the best server we have had - not only at Bahia Principe, but also any other resort we’ve stayed at. We had the pleasure of seeing her each time we went to the Yum buffet for dinner. Olga was extremely attentive of us, sweet, kind, constant smile on her face, and always followed through on anything we requested. We will miss her dearly, but can’t wait to come back and see her again.

Hotel, Service, and Rooms were magnificent! Check-in employees Francisco, Nathaniel, and Roberto were very very helpful in accommodating our 27 people reservation! Mauricio and Ivan at the pool bar were amazing at being attentive and making us feel welcomed every time they saw us. Milton in entertainment every night was amazing and always had the crowd cheering ! Jose in buffet was the best of the best as our server every day, always gave us coffee, water and asked if we needed anything. Maria in the snack bar was also amazing , every night we went in there she was attentive and always asked us if there was anything else we needed! Overall, we loved it and we would definitely visit again!
