Service is always welcoming and friendly. The restaurant staff are absolutely fantastic. They remember your preferences, Alberto and Luna and their team were our servers for breakfast and lunch at the buffet in Katok restaurant. Very attentive and it was nice that they recognised us from previous visits. The rooms were clean and daily housekeeping and mini bar service were impeccable. Towels were changed out regularly and it was easy to get pool towels from our little concierge desk in our block. The main buffet was also excellent, lots of choice and our servers were always great. At busy times you may have to wait to get more drinks but it’s understandable. We used the spa facilities regularly and the treatments were fantastic. I usually get a mani/pedi (Angela did mine) at the start of my stay and then we book a few massages and a facial before I leave. Karen and Yamile were our masseuses this stay and they were absolutely brilliant. They applied just the right amount of pressure and I genuinely felt so refreshed after each treatment. The spa has been refreshed and updated and has a very calming vibe. The pre and post treatment room has had a total makeover and it’s lovely to just relax before heading back to the resort. The infinity pool was great- just the right amount of entertainment and the drinks and bar service were also top notch. Overall, we are very happy with our stay and will return again.

Had an amazing experience at this hotel. Food was incredible!! Huge shout out to Marcos & Irwin, our servers, they were super attentive & made sure we were well taken care of. They even had the best drink recommendations!!! Eduardo the bartender in the main buffet at Akumal made the best drinks ever. Another shoutout to Alberto, we saw him every day for our tacos. He always put fresh tortillas for us and assembled the tacos for us, he truly is a hard worker & such a kind soul. All staff at this hotel were so amazing!!! We can’t wait to be back!

From the moment I arrived, the experience exceeded expectations. The stay was comfortable, super clean, the atmosphere welcoming, and the staff were absolutely amazing. I’m particular Guillermo. Guillermo was very good at teaching Yoga/Pilates and AquaFit. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful, and their attention to detail made the entire visit feel special. I left feeling refreshed, appreciated, and already looking forward to returning. The place had something for everyone in the family. Truly a great time.

We had an amazing time at Bahía Príncipe Luxury Akumal! We experienced excellent service by Irwin at the dinner buffet, Nemesio and Carlos were our favorite bartenders, Hilda gave me an amazing relaxing facial, Eric our waiter at the steakhouse was the best waiter we had the whole trip, and Raul drove us right up to the door of our room all the way from the Coba resort! The beach is fantastic, we had no trouble finding chairs. Same with the pool no shortage of chairs and they were clean. The food was amazing at the buffet and the restaurants. We did find making dinner reservations difficult and actually had friends that were sent away by a restaurant because they could not accommodate our group, even though we were previously told it was possible. You HAVE to book your dinner reservations more than 10 days before your trip, the third party we booked through did not let us know that. Our room was not one of the remodeled ones so it was dated and the fridge barely worked. But our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable! Overall we had an amazing time despite a few hiccups!
