Nobody Special

This is a nice hotel 🏨 location is what it truly has going for it. The lobby is beautiful and the bar is very good, staffed with good bar tenders. The rooms are nice, clean, and safe. The carpets in the hallways are a bit worn, a path is clearly visible. The only thing that I truly did not like is when it was time to leave, I went to get a luggage cart and was told I could not get one, they would have to do it, I said nevermind, I'll do it myself, just like when I came in. When Marriott asked me to review our stay, this was my complaint. I received a nice email from the front desk manager stating they were a Deluxe Property and the bell carts are handled exclusively by the bell service team. Interesting, not one of them offered to help me when I was unloading my wife, her wheelchair, and our bags. I had to do that on my own also. The only moment I received after unloading my wife wheelchair was for the keys to our car. This is a nice place to visit, great location, but there are other hotels in the area with good locations also. One and done.

Beautiful resort, amazing service, not overwhelmingly Disney if you get my drift, and has easy access to all the Disney things and even had the pleasure and perks of linking our stay in the Disney app. We were upgraded to a balcony room, front desk was attentive and offered fantastic recommendations. I loved that we could saunter over to the Swan at will for a quick change of pace. The hubs and I enjoyed breakfast and the bars at both the Dolphin and the Swan, and were also able to charge to our room at both properties. I love variety, and I got that here, A WIN, and will stay again!

Although I've stayed in the past with other family members. I just visited this time. The building is very cool to see. The inside is just as cool as the outside. This hotel offers a lot for their guests. A few restaurants, lounges, stores, spa & fitness also childcare and a few pools, bowling & arcade. There's car rental, guest planning services, mini van service & mail, The main lounge area is open and family friendly. The guest rooms are like every Disney hotel just decorated a bit differently & a higher price. The staff is friendly & helpful. It's Disney you know going beyond is their norm. The transportation boat ride from the hotel to Epcot & Hollywood studios is fun & easy. A few stops round trip. You can walk to Epcot as well. You can also walk or ride to the boardwalk hotel & other hotels. Which I highly suggest doing. Fun shops, good food and relaxation. You take a bus to the Magic Kingdom transportation center to ride the monorail or a ferry.

Parking: apparently they have two lots. It seemed like due to an event, they closed the second parking lot and left the smaller parking lot open only. They were making the guest park at the swam or pay for valet. Valet was allowed to park on the second lot this morning before 11. Kind of unfair if you ask me. Someone mentioned they were opening the second lot to the rest of the public today. Arrival: excellent customer service from the valet and front desk. Rooms: old and outdated. Room smells like a wet dog stayed here. Room was clean . The bathroom situation is horrible. The door only opens half way . I think I was upgraded to the worse room ever but hey an upgrade is an upgrade. It makes me wonder what the non upgrade was. Oh try to request a room in the middle of the hotel or the east wing. Do not stay in the west wing. Shower time ( 30 minutes ago): imagine arriving to your room and get in the shower. When you are soaked, you find out the shampoo bottle is empty and the shower gel almost depleted. Not a pretty picture. I am staying here for more than one night but this means I have to now request from the front desk for them to refill my bottle . Something I shouldn’t have to do . Hotel Location : perfect location . You can walk to the boardwalk. You can take the boat to Epcot or Hollywood studios. If you are going to magic kingdom, walk to the boardwalk and take the bus from there to avoid multiple stops and transfers . Day 2: the smell of the room is still awful . I was able to get some shower gel !

We love this place. Probably been going here for 20-25 years. We really enjoy the location and amenities. It's come a long way through the years. The two issues I have are that they got rid of picabu which we really like to eat at. The other was the cabana grill by the pool. The day we arrived we went there shortly before they closed. My son and I ordered burgers that came absolutely charred. They had a crunch to them and it's literally all I tasted. Since it was now closed we unfortunately ate them, the fact they were even served said a lot. The next time we ate there I got the chicken sandwich and it was the smallest piece of chicken I've ever seen in a sandwich. Service was only ok as well. Very disappointing as we always liked eating there in the past. Aside from that I highly recommend and definitely become a bonvoy member before going, it's well worth it, especially once you get to gold/ platinum level. Lastly, we stayed in the presidential suite some years ago which is 5k square feet and the huge balcony you can see from back of building. If your going for luxury, it's quite amazing, especially with the grand piano when you first walk in.
