The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable. Bed was soft and comfy. Bathroom was very large. The toilet kept making strange gurgling sounds and didn't flush well. The staff was very nice. Veronica in the Essential store went above and beyond to help temporarily fix my husband's broken glasses, can't thank her enough. Be prepared for a lot of walking, the rooms are far from literally everything. Even the pool is nearly a 10 minute walk. Take advantage of the tram from Mandalay to Excalibur to save a few steps getting to the strip. The food court in the Luxor and the Shoppes are fairly close to the W. It's Vegas Strip so no microwave, fridge, free coffee. The mini fridge, water, and coffee are NOT free. They are very expensive and on weighted sensors so don't even move them or try to put your own stuff in the fridge. Pools are good, crowded though. Wave pool is not a true wave pool, don't expect much.

When it was The Hotel, it was a five star resort. They had awesome bedding and toiletries. Now it's like staying at a Hampton Inn quality wise. Staff was friendly and helpful. MGM needs to stop it with all the BS fees for parking, valet, resort fees and now charging extra for cutlery on room service

We stayed at the W Las Vegas for a short two-night trip to see Coldplay at Allegiant Stadium. While the location was perfect for walking to and from the concert, the overall experience fell short of expectations. At check-in, we had paid for early access but were told otherwise. It wasn’t until we escalated to management and kept the conversation focused on resolution that it was finally honored. Staff were polite in tone, but not proactive in addressing the issue. The lobby and common areas felt dark and lacked energy. While the elevators were fast, the hallway on our floor (27) smelled musty and appeared worn. In the room, a curtain rod had fallen, the bathroom floor was dirty, and the lighting throughout—especially around the bathroom mirror—was very dim- including no illumination on the top of the mirror. Given the short stay, we chose not to switch rooms. There was a minor misunderstanding about a $25 water bottle charge, but it was resolved quickly and courteously at checkout. On the bright side, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the hotel’s location near the stadium was a major plus. The taxi service from the hotel was excellent—friendly, reliable, and fairly priced. Overall, while the staff were courteous, the hotel lacked the atmosphere, care, and attention expected from a higher-end property. It may work for a quick concert trip, but those looking for a more refreshed and welcoming experience might prefer other options.

This is one of the places to stay for family in Vegas strip. No casino, no smell of cigarettes or tobacco. Family friendly. We really enjoyed the stays in W Hotel. Also, the pool in Mandalay Bay was incredible! I highly recommend the hotel if you are looking for a family-friendly and price worthy hotel.

It was basically like staying in Mandalay Bay, without having to be in the casino. Access to everything and the stadium were so easy and it was a beautiful and clean hotel. The room was gorgeous. My only point for improving would be the hallways to the rooms are really dim...or at least the ones on the 7th floor were during our stay. I would definitely go back!!!
