A gaming-free all-suite property, it’s the ideal choice for those who want to escape gambling completely or merely switch-off away from the slots and poker tables. Boasting a more secluded location, you’ll still be in comfortable walking distance of the Strip and be able to experience a fabulous laidback taste of Las Vegas.

Vdara is strategically located at the City Center adjacent to Aria, Crystal Shops, The Cosmopolitan and Waldorf Astoria. It's also connected to Park MGM and Bellagio via walkways. Although it's at the hub of the Strip, it's actually away from Las Vegas Blvd hence less traffic noise from the room. A portion of the rooms are actually individually owned but managed by MGM. Unit 16032 has great views of the Sphere among other things. It's close to the elevators so there's more noise from the foot traffic but tolerable. The studio layout conveniently separates the entrance with a dining table and kitchenette, a sitting area and the sleeping quarter and the bathroom. It is a good balance between a hotel and an apartment. There's no casino, which is another plus although Aria is just a short walk away with all the actions and restaurants. The best part is you could go to any MGM Resorts' restaurants and charged it to the room. The marketplace on the first floor serves beverages, sandwiches and pastries. There's also Starbucks and a bar lounge. Cleaning is not included for the stay but is available at a fee and additional towels, robes or kitchenware can be requested through housekeeping. Another advantage is the fact that valet parking is complementary (please tip the attendant), and there's no resort fees, saving $70+ per night.

Our room was supposed to be ready for 3pm checkin and wasn't ready til close to 5:39pm. The hotel was without any running water for about 10 hours during our stay. Upon finally getting our room assigned there was a well used facecloth in the bathroom cupboard. There is no on site concierge, no one seemed to have any answers with concern to any of the issues we experienced. No help with bags or greeting when we arrived at the hotel. The hotel is well located with walkways to Bellagio and Cosmopolitan. Aria is just a short walk, and there is also a tram that runs to MGM Park Casino.

This hotel offers a great value for the proximity to casinos and other attractions. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The location is a little off the main strip, but highly accessible otherwise. The rooms are spacious and some have good views of the surrounding scenery. Overall a good stay. Highly recommend if you’re trying to avoid the Casino/Hotel type.

So lets break it down, I only gave 2 stars because the staff was very friendly and apologetic for ALL of the issues and problems that I had. First the package i booked had an issue with not including the days I had chosen so had to do a second booking for 2 days. Could not get them to combine the 2 reservation. When checking in I didn't get the early check in I requested then waited for 4 hours to get room then the room is not the right one. Then I had to change rooms half way through my stay. I was told if I csme down to desk first thing to get into the cue I would be first to get my room when available but I still didn't get the room till 3pm. I spent 1000 for my wife and girlfriend for the spa just so they didn't have to deal with the room change they didn't even have access to our bags. The room had not been cleaned found dirty clothes from previous guest I grabbed them thinking they were one of the girls stuff no luck so that was gross. The staff gave me a little credit but I didn't book this trip to save money or go cheap I had a penthouse suite which was disappointing after a the problems I paid for a experience and a great time but had none of that. The bar down stairs on my check in had no food so couldn't eat even while we waited for check in. This was a disaster for New Years and I love mgm I bet on the app I have a credit card with them I stay at their properties when I go to Vegas. Maybe its time to try Ceasars palace or the Wynn

The room is pretty and clean but there were a lot of issues during our trip that prevented us from enjoying the place. I booked Vdara mainly for the fridge to keep my medication cold, but a few hours after checking in I realized the fridge doesn't cool at all - it was broken. My medication was spoiled. Called housekeeping at 9pm and finally at 11pm they brought a replacement fridge. The replacement fridge had a terrible strong chemical smell which I guess was the chemical they used to clean the fridge with. The worst part is over the length of our stay that smell would seep into the food we keep in the fridge. The food stored in the fridge tasted disgusting because of the that and I had to discard a lot of food. The heater doesn't blow out heat strong enough to heat such a big room so I was freezing my entire stay. One of the technicians that came to fix the heater was kind, while another kinda had an attitude. They both couldn't fix it. So basically during my stay at Vdara, my medication, food and sleep were all ruined. Very disappointed because I had hope for a relaxing stay.
