First time staying at Vdara. It exceeded my expectations. We have stayed at a lot of different places on the Las Vegas Strip and this would be my choice for future stays. It is a non- casino condo-hotel, and is very peaceful and relaxing. The room was large and comfortable- and very clean. Huge bonus for me that there was a normal mini fridge for our use in addition to the stocked fridge. I had a medication that requires refrigeration, and this made it completely hassle free. The pool was relaxing, not crowded. Top notch service at the pool bar. As a kudos to the hotel, the housekeeping staff were warm and friendly, greeting us every time we saw them. They were so pleasant, that it stood out in my mind and made our stay feel even more enjoyable. It is a very brief walk to Aria and an indoor walkway that is connected to the Cosmopolitan-very easy, and quick access to two casinos and lots of restaraunt options. There is a lounge in Vdara lobby with cocktails and limited food menu, as well, making that a convenient option.

Vallet Parking was awesome. The first blonde receptionist was not very friendly and didn't even want to assist. She preferred certain types and would refer others to her colleagues. Eventually found some fantastic reps who made the rest of stay enjoyable. The facilities were awesome. Loved the location and pool area. The shopping malls were the best. The rooms could use some upgrades in furnishings.

Solid experience at a good price made for an enjoyable stay at Vdara. Vdara has more pros than cons. I had a very comfortable studio suite with a good view of the Strip. The room was just a touch tired around the edges, but overall it was clean and felt like a good value. My limited interactions with the staff were fine. My room had a kitchenette which was nice. The property does not have a casino, so you nee to take a short walk to Cosmopolitan or Aria to gamble. I know this and it was no big deal. I did not love the slow and expensive valet, so I self parked for two nights. It was a hike to the Aria garage. I generally stay where I can find the best deal at MGM, and I would return to Vdara again if I received a solid deal.

Vdara is a beautiful hotel, located in a great location with connections to both Bellagio and the Cosmo via walkways. I was very excited to stay here, but I will say the service here was lack luster and created an experience where I probably will not return. The biggest disappointment, our AC in our room was broken. On our first day, we used the app to put in a work order request. When we returned that evening from our day out, our room was 76 degrees and the AC was still broken, even though the app said they would send up maintenance. At this point, we called the front desk to ask for assistance. They said they did not know it was broken and would send someone up. We said we would be out for dinner, but allowed the maintenance team to come in the fix the AC. When we came home, the AC was still not working at the room was 76 degrees. We called down again, as it was 11pm and still no attention to this matter. After calling this time, they finally sent a maintenance person up to fix. The maintenance person, said the AC was turned off and that this was a known problem and should have been fixed. Second, Marriot and MGM have a paired service now! The rewards I get for having marriot membership, were not honored. Late check out, points, free parking were all not honored, because the front desk said I could not book through the MGM rewards and use my marriot perks. When I asked to pair the reservations so I could use the perks, they said they had to do it on booking through the call center when making the reservation. Another disappointment, where I felt the front desk was not helpful and just pushed the problem to someone else, instead of handling the customers concerns. Just very disappointed with the service for a hotel that is supposed to be based on relaxing. Very stressful and the staff was polite, but not helpful at all. I expect better service from two companies of this size for a loyal customer of both MGM and Marriot!

The assigned room lacked several standard amenities expected for a luxury classification, specifically robes and slippers, and the advertised view was obstructed by a dirty window overlooking a temporarily closed, construction-like pool area. Visible signs of wear were present on the room's furniture. The kitchenette, while modern, required a separate request for basic supplies such as plates and cups. Furthermore, the “complimentary” Keurig coffee machine wasn’t used because of a $18 tag for a pod kit with plastic cups, and the in-room tablet was non-functional. Positively, the reception staff provided excellent service, the hotel featured a pleasant ambient fragrance, and the bathroom was well-stocked with towels and good-sized toiletries.
