If you’re looking for a relaxing Las Vegas holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip, then the Vdara Hotel and Spa provides exactly that and more. A gaming-free all-suite property, it’s the ideal choice for those who want to escape gambling completely or merely switch-off away from the slots and poker tables. Boasting a more secluded location, you’ll still be in comfortable walking distance of the Strip and be able to experience a fabulous laidback taste of Las Vegas.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, spacious, and bright, which made it feel comfortable and relaxing right away. We were also given a high-floor room with a beautiful view, and it really made our stay extra special. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help whenever we needed anything. I also enjoyed spending time in the hot tub, which was a great way to relax and unwind after a long day. I did book a spa treatment during our stay, but it was just okay and didn’t quite stand out compared to other hotel spas I’ve tried. That said, everything else about the stay was very pleasant. Everything felt well maintained and thoughtfully arranged. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

My first, but definitely not my last time here! I felt like a queen in this 39th floor studio suite, that could easily fit 2 to 4 guests. It was one king bed and a queen sofa couch. I got a great Black Friday deal that included $100 food credit for any MGM owned restaurants nearby. I went to Blossom (awesome Asian restaurant). I came for my birthday and the New Edition concert that was at the Tmobile Arena, maybe a half mile away. You can see the arena from my 39th floor view! No, there's not a casino, because this is for pure relaxation, which also has a spa that I also visited. Masseuse Christie and the team were awesome! You're able to take advantage of the spa amenities all day on the day of your paid reservation. Aria, the sister property and other nearby hotels, including Park MGM, have casinos within walking distance. This hotel is also within walking distance of the Magnificent Mile Mall in the Planet Hollywood building. Also near the Crystal's high end shops and the airport. There's a Starbucks on site, which came in handy. Plus, another small convenient shop/restaurant (24 hrs) and a full bar/restaurant in the lobby. I look forward to my next visit!

We arrived around noon and our room was not ready. We went the bar where Hugo made us the best spicy margaritas we’ve ever had. After about 5 hours, and being promised a high room (we booked a suite) our room was ready. When we arrived, we were shocked at how filthy it was. We immediately went downstairs to complain, tweeted about it several times, and while the operations manager gave us a $150 restaurant credit, the next room wasn’t much better. Thus hotel is very tired and very dirty. I would not stay here again and would have preferred to pay the full amount and stay in a clean room. The servers in the main bar area were great, (5 star!) super friendly and helpful, especially Hugo, Jo and Joana. Joana actually remembered our names which I can’t imagine is easy to do with so many guests. The room situation though was very disappointing. We’ve stayed at the Bellagio and the Aria and never experienced the filth we saw at the Vdara. To be honest, I tried unsuccessfully to book us someplace else - it was that bad.

Stayed for 4 nights at the Vdara late January and have no complaints. Room was very clean upon our arrival, bed was comfy, and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is also easy to navigate which is a bonus in a city full of large, maze-like hotels. Location is pretty good being next to the Aria, Cosmopolitan, and Bellagio though do expect to spend some time walking to get places, but that's all of Vegas, basically. Definitely recommend staying here.

As a travel content creator who’s stayed in a lot of hotels, I always try to give places a fair shot. We booked one night at Vdara thinking it would be a sleek, smoke-free, non-casino escape from the Strip chaos. Here’s my honest experience — especially if you’re about to book. 1. The online check-in offers four upgrade options. The first two upgrades are less than $20 and include the word “Restore.” They look almost identical to the room you already booked — just marketed differently. The third option? A jump to the next suite… for $500 more. I selected the first upgrade (city view away from the Strip). When I clicked check-in, the system somehow processed the $500 upgrade instead and placed an $850 hold on my card. Yes. $850. We had to physically go to the front desk to correct it. It was fixed, refund is 7-10 business days, but it was a hassle we didn’t expect after a long travel day. If you’re using online check-in here, double- and triple-check what’s actually being charged before confirming. 2. Once inside the room, we did what seasoned travelers do — a quick inspection. • Found a toothpick under the bed. • Checked the sheets… and found hair that was not mine, and it honestly looked like the bed had just been smoothed over from the previous guest. We called the front desk immediately. Instead of offering to move us to a new room, they said housekeeping would come up and change the bedding. That response didn’t feel reassuring. When cleanliness is in question, you start questioning everything. 3. All night our noses were stuffy. We kept waking up uncomfortable. The next morning, when we opened the blinds and natural light hit the room… we saw it. Dust. Everywhere. Suddenly the stuffy noses made sense. For a hotel that markets itself as luxury and wellness-focused, this was disappointing. 4. At checkout, we asked to speak to a manager. We showed photos of the room conditions and explained everything. They refunded the $55 resort fee — but it didn’t erase the experience. Vdara has a great location and beautiful views. The concept is appealing — non-gaming, calm, modern suites. But based on this stay: • Be cautious with online upgrades • Inspect your room thoroughly • Advocate for yourself if something feels off Vegas has so many hotel options. If you’re paying premium pricing, you deserve premium standards. Just sharing this so you can make an informed decision before booking. If you’ve had a different experience here, I’d love to hear it — but for us, this one missed the mark. P.S. There is no coffee maker inside the room.
