Lovely resort. Great to go with family and kids. We also had a option to choose free ticket entry to zoomarine,slide and splash or zoo logos. The staff was friend. J really liked the house keeping ,kids club and the pool area. Love that the beach is walking distance from the hotel and the hotel has private access pathway to go to the beach. Love the entiretainmaent in the evening. They even had a reptile company visit which gave experinec of encounter reptile such as snakes,scorpions,chameleon closely.

Amazing place, food, service, rooms! Everything! We had an amazing weekend, with our kids and couldn't find better place! Really friendly staff, lots of food to enjoy and incredible weather! The place was really clean, specially the family rooms, which are spacious and clean decor. The kids club members were also very kind and my 6 year old son had a blast there playing. The kids swimming was a plus! Alvor is a romantic quite place this days and I can't wait to get back! They even have a small cute train to get us to the beach nearby! I haven't tried the spa, but is already in my bucket list 😅 Thank you Tivoli Alvor team!

I don't normally write reviews and reading others before I came to stay here, I feel I wanted to reiterate some things that were mentioned... It's lovely to be greeted at the hotel with the concierge service and being checked in quickly and having your cases and yourself taken to your room via buggy. A first class 5* impression. The rooms are impressive. Yes mattresses are a little hard but didn't give me back pain and the pillows make up for it!! There is a coffee machine and a kettle in the room along with bathrobe & slippers - a nice touch! Bottled water in room too. I brought my own tea bags because I like a cuppa before bedtime. There is no milk so I had to get some in a cup from the bar. Do not order milk via room service since you may get charged! Not enough sugar sachets and the cups are fine but I like a mug of tea!! So bring your own if you're like me! Someone mentioned ants in a review- I'm on the top level and still saw some tiny tiny ants dotted about. No issues with them though. But be mindful they are attracted to food that's why they appear! The TV has plenty of channels but no Normal English ones! Only news & MTV 00's. Plenty of hanging space for one! With an open wardrobe set up and curtain, soft close deep drawers were handy. I am solo so the 2 single beds pushed together wasn't an issue!! There is no supermarket handy but the tiniest shop on site. I wanted a chocolate fix so I paid €4 for malteasers!! Crazy!! They only had a few choice chocolate bars on the shelf, bottles of water. Mostly sold some water toys for the kids, hats, floats etc but don't offer to inflate the airbeds. You're alone on that one!! It took me a while to work out the restaurant location and who served what at what time?, reservations are needed for two Al a carte. Only two open because out of season I guess. The reservation have to be made in the big tent area to the right of the reception from 10.30.( called the vip lounge) There are no toilets in reception it's literally a room with a desk, chairs and info board. The main buffet building ( for breakfast, lunch, dinner, nightime feast) is up the slope past the adult pool. Can't believe its open from 11pm- 7am aswel! The walk up the path on the left from the lounge/ Shore bar at night is very dark. It wasn't lit so I used my torch on my phone. So easy to trip if concrete not level.. the whole hotel gives a feel of a 5*. But little things can be improved. The food in the main buffet does sit under heat lamps as previous customer mentioned in the review- so yes expect some dishes not to be too hot and dried on top! All in all a nice hotel, very different to what I'm used to. But hope things will improve further down the line. It's going in the right direction. Very friendly and helpful, professional staff. Sometimes you may queue for a drink also.

Just enjoyed our stay here from 11th April to 21st April with my family. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here and a special mention goes to the cleaner, Rosario aka Rose. She was tremendous in cleaning our room 448 everyday and in such a friendly manner with always a smile on her face. She gave gifts to my 3yr old son and he particularly liked the Portuguese football that he recieved from her. My son celebrated his birthday here and again a special thank you to the staff at the Carosello restaurant for singing Happy Birthday and providing a cake for our son. We also recieved free tickets to go to the zoomarine park which was given to us from Lucas via Guest Relations. Overall the staff go above and beyond to accommodate customers and we will be looking to visit again in the near future. Thank you for a lovely holiday Tivoli Alvor. First impression of the complex looked very good. However the receptionist wasn’t the most friendly which puts me on the back foot already. Room - the room was lovely and was very clean. The maids continually kept the rooms tidy. Bed that my son slept in everytime he moved you could hear the springs. Entertainment - Our 15 year old was very bored as too old for the children club and the animation team could have been more engaging with the children. Pool - it did say the pools were heated bit they were very cold. Food definitely not five star, food not very warm and options for vegetarians was not great, Food not great which seems to be a constant in the reviews. Not enough staff to cover the amount of people there and long queues to get into the main buffet. Breakfast buffet was much better. Only night with exception of Italian restaurant which gave me any choice was the spice night. There is only so much salad and pasta you can have. Italian restaurant really busy, options on the menu for the starter not there despite if not being late in the night. Would be helpful if matree told you how it worked ie help yourself to starter and dessert. Might help to put a time limit on each booking. Not impressed waited one hour and fifteen minutes for main and it was lukewarm Salty bar no hot food for vegetarians on two days which was not great. Drinks they queues are very long.
