We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Good breakfast and the rooms are clean and very spacious. Plenty of room and privacy with kids. Only downside of the room (which is quite a big one) the bed…is like sleeping on a concrete slab. Otherwise no complaints. The service is very good and helpful. We had no dinner at the hotel, So I can’t rate that

Stayed for 6 nights, lovely room and staff. Hotel looks lovely but on close inspection starting to look a little tired. All the staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely. Views are stunning. Well worth staying.

We had a very enjoyable stay, staff were always excellent and very professional. I cant comment on room value as our friends paid, but the bar and restaurant were reasonably priced, with a good but basic gym and games room. The breakfast was excellent with a good mix of all the English and continental options you would expect, the barista coffees and made to order omelettes were a real delight. A couple of small negatives were the condition of the pool decking in places and a slow out flow on one of the bathroom sinks other than this the room was perfect. All in all a fantastic hotel that we recommend and will return to again!

My friend and I loved our stay here. The room was beautiful, clean and had great views. The staff were absolutely phenomenal - really friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were delicious, they make a great cocktail and both the buffet and a la carte food was really tasty. There were plenty of sun loungers, even during peak season, and the spa was lovely and quiet with good facilities. There isn’t a huge amount in the surrounding area but it’s a great place to relax in the hills with fantastic views, and the beach is only around a 20-30 minute drive. If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday, I would absolutely recommend Monchique!

I really like the breakfast and the first time I saw the view I was just speechless. The rooms were also clean and comfy but there were ants in the bathrooms and in the dishwasher. As a person who gets carsick easily, I don’t like the location. I know the hotel is in the mountains, but the way down to the beach is so complicated and I always got carsick but of course that is not the problem of the hotel:) It is also difficult to orientate because of the different buildings and floors, it took me some days to understand the system. I really liked the inklusive breakfast tough, there is a great selection of fruits, bread, meat, etc. Had a great time there!
