My Partner & I just returned from a 5 day holiday in Portugal at this hotel. I was hesitant based on the mixed reviews. We will definitely be returning later this year with the kids. The location is perfect for the beach & nightlife all in walking distance. All the staff are friendly & helpful speaking English & other languages lovely Receptionist called Anna gave 5* customer service. The hotel itself needs a full make over to bring it up to 5* expectations. The rooms are quiet dated with small repairs that need doing the tiles on the bathroom wall we're cracked with paint splatters in the bath, small mirror light bulb one not working one hanging out the socket. Lounge area furniture was wooden & noisy. Kitchen are was good size with fridge & oven very useful for storing snacks & cold drinks, so was able to make toast & coffee before breakfast. The rooms are very spacious with amazing sea views. The food & variety was better at the sister hotel up the road in the restaurant Jac's. For 5* the jacuzzi, steam & sauna should be part of all inclusive but we had to pay €10 per day to use facilities. Indoor & outdoor pool was lovely & clean.

Daughter stayed here week ago. One downside they do not serve evening meals here you have to use sister hotel other side of bay about 1km. No transport though so if you not fit enough it's a let down. Pool and pool area spotless and no rush to grab sunbeds.

Good 2 days stay. Check in was quick and easy.
We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was plenty big enough for us.
The hotel is located on the sea front, with easy access to the beach.
It also has a great little shop on the complex, with everything you need.
Also the main strip is just behind the hotel, but you can't hear any noise from it, good to have it close by for drinks and food too.

I think 5 stars was a long time ago. I would give it 3 stars now. Stayed here for 7 days when all inclusive which I would not recommend!! It’s shocking food is cold hard and it’s not fresh Keep in mind the wrist band we got if they broke need to pay 25€ ! The tiles in the bathroom are old and cracked. A small piece of soap for the hands for the whole week. Before go to airport to come back London we wanted to take a shower, so they suggested to take shower in the shared shower of the indoor pool with not privacy. my friend vomited and had diarrhoea all day. Also, my friend's parents felt bad for two days and There was not drinking water in our room. There is no lifeguard at the outdoor pool and it is unsafe. in some places the water depth is 3 meters 50 centimeters! The pool is cleaned when people bathe. I think it is better to clean the pool when there are no people.

Rooms ok, but need some updating. We had a large terrace with our apartment, but it was in disrepair and needed work. The pools were ok, but only half of the out door pool was in operation. The staff really didn't want to be there. There were 2 people that were friendly, but the rest never cracked a smile and you always felt anything you asked was an imposition. Location is good, and some nice restaurants close by. Sadly, the food at the all-inclusive wasn't great, so we ate out a few times. Their a la carte dining experiences were not good. It was advertised as a 5 star experience but it sadly missed the mark in all areas.
