Grand Muthu Forte Do Vale

We arrived at the hotel around midday and we could check in earlier. The food was absolutely delicious and every evening there was a different cuisine on the buffet. Grand Muthu Forte do Vale also have a sister hotel nearby where residents can go and use the hotel facilities, have drinks, lunch or dinner, they also offer different food styles like Mexican, Mediterranean. We haven’t used it as we only went for 7 nights on all inclusive and the hotel itself was great. We were upgraded to apartment which was lovely and specious and very very clean. The beds are extremely comfortable with luxury linen, our towels and toiletries were replenished daily. The bar was open from 11am until 11pm with variety of local drinks and daily entertainment in the lounge area. Staff were very attentive, especially the young gentleman at reception, the older man in waistcoat behind the bar and a lovely girl in the main restaurant with long dark hair (didn’t speak much English but very polite and attentive) sorry I didn’t take their names. The only downside I’ve found was the quality of wine. Overall, our stay was great, and we’ll be recommending this hotel.

The photos don't do it justice. The Grand Muthu hotel is beautiful. There are 4 different gym room, multiple pools, sauna and steam room. We were upgraded to an apartment which is very spacious and clean. The staff and friendly and there are lots of activities at the hotel each day. The beaches are very close and we walk down the beach to old town for food. There is a great atmosphere in old town and at the beach clubs.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. The area is just right but It's 5 min drive to the city center (around 5 eur if you take a taxi). Walking distance to lovely Praia Dos Alemaes. Small point of improvement is the TV channels offered. Only news channels in different languages

This is a fine hotel. But not a 5* The room we had was dated and certainly needs upgrading ASAP. The lobby staff were knowledgeable and attentive as was in the bar and the main dining area. The food was average. Weather wasn't too great one day, so we decided to book a massage each at the hotel. There were no staff in this area. A young girl came running out of indoor swimming with a massive nose bleed, but there were no staff at all, and no first aid kit was visible!! The masseuse turned up only 5 minutes before our scheduled time. Both rooms were very cold and hence we didn't enjoy the massage!! I don't think we would stay at this hotel again.

Great hotel , reception staff very friendly and helpful, restaurant and bar staff no so friendly. Rooms very clean and tidy . Bar staff at night still using plastic glasses which I understand around a pool but not in the night bar . Food was great and the fact you can use other hotels , bars and restaurants within the chain is brilliant. Would we go back ...... yes definitely but please ask your bar staff to cheer up !!!
