The service at this resort was fantastic. Everyone we met was so polite, eager to serve us food and help us out however they could, helpful with teaching us Spanish and so respectful to our small children - treating them like whole people and letting them order their own food. The facilities were clean and everywhere smelt amazing. The pool and rooms are beautiful. The entertainment staff were engaging and remembered our names. The only complaint we had was that another (negative!) review mentioned a snake in the hallway and we were disappointed to not encounter any snakes as promised! We did see lots of lovely local birds and spot some iguanas basking. We would definitely return again.

Room: The room was clean, stylish, and had an amazing sea view. The minibar was well-stocked, and housekeeping came twice a day. Every evening, they left a nice touch — a handwritten note with a few cookies on a wooden board. Restaurants: The Mexican restaurant was average. The food quality was fair, but one experience was disappointing — after we gave the waiter a tip, he asked for more, which felt uncomfortable. The à la carte restaurants were spacious, with a good variety of food, fruits, ice cream, cookies, and desserts. However, the restaurant staff could be friendlier. At first, they ask if you need anything, which is nice, but if you don’t tip, they tend to ignore your table afterward. The steakhouse was excellent — our waiter was very attentive and introduced us to some amazing cocktails. Staff: Overall, the staff were friendly and helpful, except for one of the lifeguards, Enrique, who was rude. Reception: Reception staff were polite and welcoming. Pools and Facilities: The kids’ pool had plenty of fun amenities, and the trampoline area was safe and enjoyable for children. The poolside activities were average, and the snack bar near the pool was good. However, the bartenders at the pool bar could be a bit friendlier compared to other resorts I’ve visited. The nightly shows were fantastic — great energy and performance! Smoking-Free Rule & Lifeguard Incident: We didn’t see any “no smoking” signs anywhere in the resort. On our first day, while walking to the Coral Bar, my friend and I each had a cigarette. Suddenly, the lifeguard, Enrique, came toward us and said it was a smoke-free hotel. We explained that we didn’t know because there were no signs or notices during check-in. When we asked the bartender for an ashtray, he didn’t have one and gave us a cup instead. Then, Enrique came and suddenly pulled the cup from my hand — which was shocking and rude. If the hotel or certain areas are smoke-free, there should be clear signs or guests should be informed at check-in. In most resorts I’ve visited, outdoor smoking was allowed. Also, enforcing rules should not be the lifeguard’s responsibility — their main job is pool safety. During our stay, I even saw the same lifeguard playing volleyball and handling towels instead of watching the pool, and once he appeared to be drinking while on duty. No one should ever grab something from your hand without consent. His behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful. Because of that experience, I’m deducting one star from my review. Otherwise, the resort overall was good and enjoyable.

The resort was beautiful, slow season, still seaweed washed up on the beach, pool and bars were clean. House keeping was great. Buffet restaurant had repetitive options on different stations. The 9pm night shows at FORO were great! Me and 2 of my Girls went to the spa for the day-which was amazing! Ofelia was incredible! The restaurant manager Alfredo at the rodeo steak house was awaful and racist towards my African American husband. He didn't let our kids ride the bull for 2 days until we had a reservation-meanwhile you don't even need a reservation to ride the bull. He threatened my husband by saying "remember you're in Mexico"... like what was that supposed to mean? Alfredo should get FIRED. I know we are NOT the only family that have complained about him. We felt threatened, my husband didn't even eat there that night thanks to Alfredo. Such a nasty mean human being. Overall in conclusion - We will not be returning to This resort.

Had a very good stay here at the end of September. Unfortunately the sargassum was still in effect and limited any access to the beach. The staff was a highlight and always friendly and berry willing to help no matter the request. The restaurants were good but not excellent, again service was great there. The buffet was always good with a good selection. The specialty restaurants were good, with some better than others but non were bad by any means. The room had a great view and was kept very clean by the maid service. There were daily issues with the elevators which they were quick to fix. The electricity fluttered several times but was always on without issue. Overall it is a very good resort especially for kids. It lacks any 5 star like ammentites but it was a very good place and the staff was exceptional. The price point. Were all great and drinks are easily available with the waiters checking in frequently. It was a great deal for the pricepoint.

⭐️ 1/5 — Misleading Ads, Poor Service, and Unprofessional Management at Sensira Spa & Resort We booked Sensira Spa & Resort after seeing the glowing reviews and beautiful ads, but the experience did not live up to the hype. We traveled with a group of over 10 people — half of them children under 8 — and overall, our stay was extremely disappointing. The resort promotes itself as family-friendly, but there was very little to keep kids entertained. Other than the pools (which were nice), there weren’t many activities for younger children, and several of the events or programs we were told about never actually happened or were poorly communicated. Dining was another major letdown. The resort rotates between three restaurants — Mexican, Italian, and a steakhouse — plus a buffet and an adults-only restaurant. The Mexican restaurant was terrible, especially considering we were in Mexico. The buffet had almost the same food every day, with many stations closed or empty. At the Italian restaurant, one of our group members found a piece of Brillo pad material in their pasta, which was completely unacceptable. The steakhouse had the best menu overall, but it’s where we experienced the worst service — especially from the manager, Alfredo. During our first visit to the steakhouse, we waited over 2.5 hours for our food. When we returned a few nights later and arrived 10 minutes late (which is understandable with five small children), Alfredo threatened to cancel our reservation, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. When one of us calmly confronted him about his attitude and poor service, he became extremely rude and unprofessional, saying: “Remember where you are — you’re in Mexico.” We took that as a threat, and it completely ruined our evening. No guest should ever be spoken to that way. While a few staff members were kind and tried their best, the overall communication, professionalism, and hospitality fell far short of what’s expected from a so-called luxury resort. The beach was small and murky, not at all like the photos, and the resort simply lacked the quality and care it advertises. Overall, Sensira Spa & Resort was a huge disappointment. Between the poor food quality, lack of family activities, unprofessional management, and misleading marketing, I wouldn’t return even if it were free, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone — especially families with young kids.
