5 stars for: Domingo at the lobby bar, Aarón at the reception, Benancio in maintenance, and Ana at the Steak house. They made our stay so special because they were above and beyond kind and great service. We got there and it wasn’t super busy so service overall was really good. Only the room service was slow but otherwise it was absolutely fantastic and quick. 4 stars for the buffet, it could have a couple more options lol but it was tasty and my 15 month old ate different things from there and she loved it. Hotel is small enough for you to feel safe with your kids running around. Beach has the seaweed so make sure to go when is not seaweed season. Some hotels will clean the beach seaweed but they’re way more expensive so it’s a fair deal. Clean rooms, comfy beds. All good 😊

I’ll start by saying the staff at this resort was absolutely incredible. From wait staff, to entertainment, and the housekeepers, everyone provided next level service. The only drawbacks to this resort was the beach was pretty much choked out with seaweed, the kid’s room had poor ventilation and only curtain for a door (so no privacy for parents), and the buffet was only available one night out of the week we were there. So that left only three out of four restaurants accessible with children that had pretty minimal menus. Otherwise this was a beautiful resort with lots of activities for our kids.

While we enjoyed our stay at Sensira (Jan 2025) it wasn’t the best. We are a family of 4 - two adults, two young teenagers. I’ll start with the pros: courteous and helpful staff as well as well kept and clean grounds, rooms, and facilities. We like that it’s a relatively small resort and off the beaten path so not in the busy touristy area. The food was pretty good at the restaurants and at the beach-side/delivery restaurant, but only decent at the buffet. The nightly entertainment was pretty good, particularly the magic show. But now for the cons: The restaurants were difficult to get a table at and the reservation process changed every day we were there - no reservations allowed some days, other days yes, and other days we had confirmed reservations for us at the concierge desk only to find that there were no reservations given to the actual restaurant when we showed up. They really need better communication between the staff and restaurants. Furthermore, we were disappointed that many of the resort amenities were no longer there or were no longer functioning: tennis court, basketball court, hot tub (was only 85F!), ping pong, and more. And true to other reviews - the pools are very cold and not heated. We hardly swam at all because in early January a 75F pool was unpleasant, and the ocean was slightly warmer. And the seaweed on the small beach builds up fast, even though they clean it off every 2-3 days. And getting a cabana on the beach is difficult and you have to get one by 7am and use it continuously or they will give it away. Kind of made for a stressful experience. And while I realize some of these issues result from it being a smaller resort, they could do better. We will look elsewhere next time we head to Cancun.

The people are great here! The service at the restaurants is amazing. The steak house is the best and the Italian was ok. My main concern was the lack of operational amenities and restaurants. The kid waterpark was only open one day and then shut down for two weeks for repairs. So my toddler only got to use it for one day. We were also not able to have access to a variety of drinks due to elections for one day. Despite the hotel saying that they sent an email out to let guests know, I never received anything before I arrived. Also, due to lack of staff, not all restaurants were open. We only had the choice of the Italian, The steakhouse, the buffet, and the poolside Grill. But it seems like the buffet was only open at certain times. Never for dinner mainly breakfast. I understand that things are going to happen, but I wish I was notified of all these changes and lack of amenities that myself and my child could not use prior to the trip so me and my family could have looked at our options. Luckily we didn’t stay too long, which made it easy to redirect my toddler to just playing in the pool or the beach. But I feel bad for families who were staying over a week and didn’t have access to the kid activities advertised. Please communicate with guests and accommodate if you are unable to provide everything advertised in the All inclusive package prior to arrival.

It was our first visit to the Resort, and from the minute we arrived we were impressed with the overall level of the condition of the facility, and the service they were prepared to provide. The Resort was clean, the room was spacious with a great view. We were fortunate to have a couple of great guys (Oscar, Rafael), take us under their wings, and the level of service they provided was , next level!! The food was very good, the weather was amazing, and despite the reviews about the seaweed problem, it was totally manageable. It is a very heavy ‘kid friendly’ resort, but when spending the days at the Adult only pool, the kids were not a factor. Again, we are super grateful to Oscar, and Rafael, and the entire staff for a great vacation! THANKS GUYS!! Hope to be back again.
