For a 5 star hotel we were extremely disappointed. There are several restaurants but they were all fully booked up when we tried to eat there. We were never told we needed to book on arrival. We had recently stayed at 2 different hotels/resorts and found these much more pleasurable. When we did manage to eat somewhere the prices were disgusting for the quality of food. You would expect to pay slightly more than the lesser stared resorts but the difference in price was around 3 times more. We decided to go into the local town due to being extremely dissatisfied with the resort and ended up using the resorts taxi which again cost us 3 times more than the Blue bird taxi we had used previously. For such a large resort there are not enough sun beds near the pools or on the beach front. The rooms are in need of some TLC and are quite shabby. We had managed to stay bite free from mosquitoes at the first 2 hotels as they provided mosquito nets over the beds. This was not the case at this extravagant hotel and ended up with several bites to contend with. The decor of the resort is rather nice and pleasant to look at but we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Although staff are friendly and facilities at this hotel are great, overall we had quite a poor experience here. Positives: - room was very pleasant and large - lovely spa facilities which are free to use. I also had a good massage, though it was expensive - large complex with access to beaches and activities. Negatives: - my partner is coeliac and I am also gluten free and we found that this was not well catered to at all. Menu options were extremely limited and some GF options that we ate were very poor (especially the gf pizza at Tamarind). Staff could not give us clear information about allergens as a lot of the food is brought in from off-site. We also received mixed messages about what we could eat, for example I was served a custard on a dessert which the waitress had told me was not gluten free. We were also told that we could not eat a lot of foods that should naturally be gluten free (for example any of the cooked meat at breakfast) which made us question the quality of the ingredients - we placed a do not disturb sign on our bedroom door but were woken at 8:45am by room service. When we declined, they said that the room would not be serviced later, even though they were around the hotel throughout the day - my partner booked into the golf simulator but we quickly realised that it was very unsafe. The screen was against a hard wall, so when he hit the first ball it bounced back and hit the glass wall at the back of the room. He hit a second ball and it bounced back and hit him in the ribs, causing bruising. We complained to management who explained that they know about the issue so we were baffled that nothing had been done and it was a matter of time before someone was seriously injured. Staff were very apologetic and rectified the situation for us, but we hope that the issue is resolved fully before other guests can use it. Overall, there seems to be a high churn of guests at this hotel which we felt affected our experience and did not meet the standards that we would expect from a 5 star hotel.

Perfect place for our first trip to Bali. Hotel staff were professional, respectful and always ready to help. Buffet food was great, with a lot of healthy options. Room was cleaned everyday and facilities were spotless. Favorite restaurant was the Mexican place. The Guest Relations Office surprised me with a cake and beautiful roses on my birthday which was a very thoughtful way to appreciate guests! Lastly, we were able to use the spa and all facilities after check-out to accommodate our late evening flight home. We hung out at the beach, left our luggage with the concierge and took a shower at the spa before leaving for the airport. Thanks Nusa Dua Hotel and Spa for a fabulous first trip to Bali!

I decided to rate the hotel of five overall because some of the services amenities and friendliness with the staff outweigh some of the cons. First or foremost, the staff, extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very plentiful and took into consideration, multiple backgrounds and cultures. The icing on the cake was by far The spa. I highly recommend doing the spa on the grounds. The Bali bathtub was amazing. The masseuse was amazing. The serenity of the spa was great. I love the private pool after the massage.dinner on the beach was good also. For the cons, I would say the rooms are very dated the grounds lacked a lot of Character the beach wasn’t accessible. And lastly, this destination is far from the main city so if you want to have a city fill and do some of the main activities like the Bali swings or the monkey tour or elephant tours, those are very far from this location. But again, I think that the hotel overall was fairly priced, always very clean and tidy very pleasant and the spa more than made up for any of the other client as mentioned.

Good location, but the resort really needs improvement. My son cut his toes on broken pool tiles — he was treated quickly by the on-site nurse, which I appreciated however there are lots of broken tiles in the pool as well. . The tiles around the pool are also very slippery. There are not enough sunbeds by the pool, especially during busy periods, which is quite unfair. The rooms are very outdated and in need of an upgrade. The Wi-Fi is shocking and barely works. Food is average, and the kids’ menu has very limited choices. Hotel staff are friendly and do their best, but overall, the resort needs better maintenance, updated facilities, and improved amenities to meet expectations
