We stayed for a week on a vacation club holiday. The 2 bedroom apartment was nice and spacious for a family of 5. But it definitely needs a little fixing up. Air con worked great during the day but seemed to have issues working at night time.
Pool area was nice but the pool was always hot and the water was very dense.
Food and drinks - very expensive. Eat and drink outside if you want to save some money.
Staff were friendly and resort area was always clean.
Walking distance to food and market. Beach was a 5 minute walk or 10 minute bus shuttle

In Desperate Need of Refurbishment
This property feels more like a two or three-star hotel rather than what it claims to be.
Positives:
The location and pool area are the only redeeming features. However, be aware that the hotel is not on the beach as the website images suggest. Despite this, the beach is a short 5-minute walk away, so the location isn’t terrible.
Negatives:
I paid a hefty amount for a two-night stay, only to be met with a hotel that looks at least 25-30 years old, with no signs of refurbishment. The room design is bizarre—larger bathrooms than bedrooms, which are dingy and worn out. The furniture is outdated, and the overall atmosphere is far from inviting.
Breakfast was just average, with few edible options. While the coffee was decent, we were shocked when we ordered a chicken sandwich, found it raw, sent it back, and were still charged for it. The experience left a bad impression.
I won’t be returning anytime soon. Hopefully, Novotel will take note and invest in refurbishing this property.

The hotel is very expensive, and the food is expensive. Also, room showers are very bad as water flows through every corner of the bathtub.
I didn't feel Novotel standard here, but the staff here is great.

The room was basic...smelled musty and there was mould on the curtains
The housekeeping staff started their rounds early and it was not uncommon that they would be ringing the doorbell, knocking incessantly on the door between 8.30 and 9am
The food was very average. I ordered nachos for about $7 AUD and got 6 cornchips with toppings on each one. That's about $1 per cornchip! Nit a lot of variety with only 2 dining options but much of the same things on the menus. I paid $48AUD for the Italian night buffet and it seemd they didn't let the pasta drain long enough as there was water in the bowl with the sauce. Lot of money for basic food.
You need to get a bus to get to the beach so it's not easy.
I upgraded my luxury escapes package to have some included meals however you can only choose from the same 2 options for either lunch or dinner so a complete waste of money unless you are happy to eat the same food day after day.
The Balinese staff were beautiful and very welcoming its the big hotel chain which is the problem.
There are no more small shampoo or conditioner bottles - if you want these types of things you need to request them and only got 2 small powdered coffee sachets each day, some days they didn't provide them or forgot to check I'm m not sure which was the case. There was one day they didn't come at all and I needed to call and ask them to come and clean my room and replace the towels. That's what I paid for honestly, spent a lot of money for these inclusions and first holiday in over 5 yrs.
The pool was okay but I have experienced much better and cleaner and in my 6 Bali holidays. I ended up with an inner ear infection which the GP said was from the pool.
I needed to ask for different pillows after my first night as the pillows were clearly old and had lumps and bumps they way well worn pillows do. They were changed when requested.
I asked for a sheet change after 4 or 5 nights, if you don't ask you don't get it.
For the money, I'd give it a wide berth. You can do better in Nusa Dua. It seems they are trying to save money at every turn.

Wow - what an incredible stay. We had a deluxe room overlooking the pool with a balcony which was spacious and provided everything we needed, including blockout curtains if you like a sleep in. As soon as we arrived, I took a long soak in the huge bathtub as it was in the evening and room service. The steak was delicious! In the morning, we awoke to a lovely view. The grounds were a tropical oasis, well kept and maintained and perfect for taking photos. Breakfast was exceptional, as was all food at the restaurant. We loved the Balinese-themed night and took advantage of the wonderful cocktails at the bar. We were treated to the most amazing massage at the hotels In Balance Spa which was divine. The location was perfect, so peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. It was within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants although so much was available at the resort and easy not leave it with everything at our disposal. We spent many hours in the pool, relaxing under a cabana with friends or on a sun lounge reading. All staff were most welcoming and always had the Balinese smile. There is a money exchanger in the lobby with competitive rate, making it safe and secure to exchange money. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
