Beautiful and well maintained resort! Pools are clean and temperature controlled. Breakfast buffet has a great variety and very well seasoned food. In room dining food was also delicious especially the club sandwich. We stayed in the luxury suite with pool access which I would recommend. Most importantly the hospitality of the staff is outstanding very polite, respectful and accommodating. The beach by the hotel is mainly for water sports and activities but still offers a nice backdrop to the beachfront swimming pool.

Disappointing Experience at Shakara Resort I had high expectations for Shakara Resort in Bali, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype. While the location is undeniably beautiful, nestled among lush greenery, the service and amenities left much to be desired. Upon arrival, the check-in process was disorganized and slow, with staff appearing overwhelmed despite it being a relatively quiet day. The room, although stylish in design, was not properly cleaned — the floors were dusty, and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor. Housekeeping was inconsistent throughout my stay, and I had to request fresh towels multiple times. The biggest letdown was the resort restaurant. The menu was limited, and the food lacked flavor. On one occasion, my order was incorrect, and it took nearly an hour to receive the replacement. The staff were polite but seemed poorly trained and inattentive. While the resort grounds are serene and the pool area is photogenic, the lack of attention to detail and overall poor service made the stay underwhelming. For the price paid, I expected a far better experience. I hope management takes these issues seriously and improves, as the resort has great potential but currently misses the mark.

Disappointed Stay – Not 5-Star Quality Our stay at The Sakala Resort was underwhelming. The check-in process was slow, and the staff seemed disinterested. Our room had maintenance issues — a leaking air conditioner and a musty smell. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and the towels were old and stained. Breakfast was disappointing, with limited options and cold food. The resort appears worn down and lacks the polish you’d expect from a 5-star property. While the pool area is decent, the overall experience did not justify the cost. Would not recommend unless major improvements are made in service, cleanliness, and facility upkeep.

I loved everything about this resort!! From the super friendly and accommodating staff to the marvelous breakfast I enjoyed every morning. The staff at breakfast make it their business to learn your name. They greet you with such joy! The food was a smorgasbord of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Everything was delicious. We didn’t have an itinerary but the staff connected us with everything we wanted to do. I love this place and you will too!
