Hi, we revisited the Beatriz Playa and Spas, our first time since COVID. This is probably our 15th visit, all inclusive. The reception staff, were very professional and extremely helpful. The room was as it was many years ago and could certainly do with modernisation . However, it was comfortable and cleaned daily. There was an abundance of hot water and clean towels as requested. The dining room hadn’t changed a bit, but Lucas and his team, were attentive and moving about like ants, clearing and resetting tables, for the next guests. This time round I did not see the No1 or No2 chefs, in their smart uniforms , carrying out inspections. This always gave a very reassuring appearance in the dining room. Good was plentiful , pork, chicken and various fish dishes, available. There was also a good spread of salads, vegetables and pastas available . I missed seeing the chefs , standing carving various specialities in the actual restaurant, but on some evenings a chef, did carve behind, the serving counter. The animation team were first class, putting a lot of effort into daily activities and evening mini discos, for the children — and of course TAPI. I was disappointed that I couldn’t purchase Tapi soft toys, for my grand children, from reception , as before . Overall a very pleasant experience , and we will be returning in the future.

I had a week here with my mam and we loved the hotel. We enjoyed the food and drinks. Our room was cleaned everyday and the lady that cleaned our room was lovely. The room itself was fairly big and there was a couple of chips off the bath which didn’t affect our holiday, neither did decor which a lot of people have commented on. It was lovely and clean! The majority of the staff were really friendly. We will definitely return to this hotel.

The hotel is OK. It's a bit dated, needing a bit of TLC as the self-service drinks machines break or often run out of syrup. It doesn't have the same health and hygiene rules which we have in the uk so depends how relaxed you can be about certain standards. Rooms clean. Our jnr suite was a fair size, but the balcony was a wonderful size, in the sun during the afternoon, only overlooked if you stood up as we were on the ground floor next to the mini golf..and back gate (7am-10pm) but barely noticeable unless slammed. Not enough seating nor sun-loungers, by the pool, might be eased slightly if had loungers on balconies especially considering the space. And although the standard 'don't reserve loungers' people do and by the time breakfast has finished its hard to find a spare 4 together. Basic food in restaurant. Were here for a week, but, if it were 2 then we'd need to eat out. Plenty of options within 10-30min walk. If you're a aeroplane fan, then it's a fabulous location. 10min drive from airport and a daily stroll for runway views. Promenade 30seconds from back gate where you can walk/jog/cycle/use a 4 seater bike.

On arrival reception area impressive and staff smart. Our room was for 3 people myself, husband and 16 year old. The room was tired with stains on the walls and shabby furniture, skirting, dated bathroom. The room was not prepared for 3 people. As only the two single beds made up on arrival, no extra bedding or towel etc. We pulled out sofa bed to find the matress had a massive blood stain on it amongst other stains. Spoke to reception staff, while no apology was made was told housekeeping would come and 'clean everything'. 4 and half hours later after we returned from dinner the housekeeper was in our room. Matress had been replaced and bed made up for our son. I believe some of the hotel rooms have been renovated, the rooms across from us did look nicer decor wise. Beds were comfy and we all had good nights sleep. Buffet restaurant was ok. Breakfast was nice with lots of options that we all enjoyed. Dinner was a bit repetitive with a change to a few dishes but we ate out a few nights due to lack of choice. Of note your half board does not let you have free drinks with dinner just breakfast. The Bamboo chinese restaurant that you prebook was awful. Very little choice and the main meals were anything but chinese flavour. We left halfway through out first plate of food. A few other things to mention. You have to pay a 10 euro deposit for a beach towel and pay a euro for a reusable plastic cups at the pool bar. (This is a 4 star hotel apparently). There is no tea or coffee facilities in the room. We were told they could give us a kettle but we had to source tea/coffee etc ourselves but could take from restaurant. Of note another party we travelled when asked were delivered a kettle and tea etc and was replaced in their room every day. The location of the hotel is perfect right on the beach front and ten min drive from airport and various bars, shops, restaurants and bike hire just minutes walk away. Two pools one heated which was our favourite. We did not use night time entertainment, bars or spa, so cant comment on this. I found the staff not particularly friendly, perhaps it was the language barrier, but apart from a couple of housekeeper and a few waiters felt no one smiled or made pleasantries.

I have just spent a week here doing all inclusive, and after going in worried after reading reviews I have one of my own. 1. The reviews definitely make the hotel worse than it is. The hotel is run down in areas, yes, but there is people constantly cleaning it so it is clearly just an older building. 2. The food isnt that bad. There is not a lot of choice, no, but what there is is lovely. They have some of the best sausages I have tried and their churros were lovely. 3. The hotel staff were lovely. Yes they werent always the happiest, I would say those working in the restaurangs could learn to be kinder, however the bar staff were especially kind !! Just be weary of the photographer. He seems nice to begin with but will take your pictures but when u dont want to buy one he will patronise you and pretend he no longer understands english. 4. The rudest people I met personally were other guests of the hotel - they will just push infront of you, not say thank you, no general friendly atmosphere which is a shame. 5. The room cleaning ladies never stole anything of mine. Infact, they left my jellycats tucked into bed everyday!! Please don’t let the bad reviews stop you from having fun.
