Overall, we had a great experience at the Allegro Cozumel resort. While the facilities were not the best we have seen - the activities crew made it the best time we have ever had at a resort in Cozumel. The beach was beautiful, great sand, and the activities they put on daily was our favorite part. We loved the energy David and Angel brought to their jobs and we will definitely be back soon just for them!! They make the games fun and include anyone who is able to play. If you want a special place to do activities, lay on a nice sandy beach, meet great people from different places, and have loads of fun - this is the resort for you!! Johnny was also a great addition making sure everyone stayed safe on the beach (he is the lifeguard). The rooms were very comfort with great AC and the service was good. Food was delicious. The shows were cool. We will 100% be back for the next family vacation.

I visited with my friend and her family. I will return! The employees really make this small resort fun! Especially daily activities. David and Angel make activities so much fun and they can really make people laugh! The lifeguard also participates with anctivities and is very encouraging! Marine is such a pleasant and friendly guy at the towel stand. Don’t hesitate to visit.

I spent 5 nights in mid April 2024 with my girlfriend and had a wonderful experience. The food was pretty good. There were some misses for me personally, but on the whole there was enough variety that you will find something you will like. The Mexican food night on the buffet was exceptionally good - they have some salsas on the toppings bar that are no joke and will light you up. The room was nice and the housekeeping staff were very attentive. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment that we went to, there was a trapeze/suspended spinning act one night that was super impressive as was the Mayan folk dancing night. The beach is very nice and there was plenty of loungers for all of the guests. I went on 6 dives with the on site Dive Ops (Pro Dive International) and they were all fantastic to interact with. All of the service staff were pleasant to work with. Lots of yummy cocktails and a bar was always close at hand. What an awesome experience for our first all inclusive. We've only been to Cozumel on cruises before and moving forward I think we'll go the AI route. It was a great vacation and we have already talked about going back next year. Thanks!

My wife and I had a great experience staying at Allegro Cozumel. We had a nice comfortable first floor room with very good housekeeping service every day. The hammock on the porch offered a nice place to relax as well as hang/dry wet clothes. The pools were very nice and clean, one with a great swim up bar. The staff was very kind in all aspects. We really enjoyed Arbey and the daily activities he led, our favorite was the water aerobics! We enjoyed trying all of the many drink options while relaxing on the beach in the shade of some palm trees. The designated swim area offered great snorkeling (yellow/southern sting rays, starfish, lobster, coral, and many other fish). We loved the food. The buffet offered many different options with a different themed dinner each night, including a nice assortment of fresh fruit and vegetables. We had reservations at the Mexican and oriental restaurants. The oriental was definitely our favorite, would highly recommend this as the top choice when choosing your reservation. The evening shows were fun and relaxing. We will definitely come stay here again in the future when we are back in Cozumel!

This was by far the worst destination in all my travels for numerous reasons. Upon checking in our room, the floors were dirty and the ceiling was leaking. There were also stains on our sheets and the room was very dated. Upon informing their staff, they had maintenance provide a temporary fix to the ceiling panel and had housekeeping wipe the floor, but the sheets remained stained. I am not a picky eater or food snob by any stretch, but the food here was absolutely terrible. I don’t have high expectations for food at all inclusive properties, but this was nearly inedible. Everything we ate was questionable meats and random sauces. There were also several birds that would fly in given the open air concept of their restaurants and land on the food and within the seating areas. Flies would also fester on the fruit and food, as there were no covering over the food for protection to help manage this. The two main pools were decent. The kids loved the waterpark style kids pool, but it definitely needs a refresh and maintenance check. Several areas weren’t working and there were safety concerns with cracks in the slide and exposed electrical lines. The staff overall was nice, but you can tell they weren’t given any power to make any of their own decisions and would always defer to needing to speak to a manager or supervisor who never seemed to have a direct answer or resolution to assist. During our stay we also experienced a hurricane which is terrifying in itself, but even more concerning was that the property did not have adequate protocols or safety measures. They provided us only hours before the hurricane was scheduled to hit, a piece of paper slipped through our door that we need to make travel arrangements as soon as possible but offered no guidance when asked what to do if flights weren’t available. With Cozumel being a hurricane prone island it completely baffled me that we had to speak amongst other guests to get any information that we gathered or googled ourselves. The little information we did get from staff was inaccurate and not consistent between members. We were also worried with being on a top floor room with the roofs being straw. It wasn’t until we inquired to move rooms to a lower level, instead of the hotel being proactive and moving all guests to a lower level for safety. It was beyond frustrating already, and the staff provided no comfort or assistance. The only grace I can give is to Arturo and another seemly corporate manager who offered us the opportunity to bring food to our room the night before the hurricane. Their front desk manager Pedro was the extreme opposite and had no compassion, leadership in managing the situation, or assistance for options. Our flights were cancelled and rebooked to days later. We had small children and an infant and when we knew our only option was to weather the hurricane, he denied the request to bring food from the buffet to our rooms, knowing we not have access to food/water during/post hurricane. This property is isolated, and 30 minutes away from town. The only nearby food was a mini post along the street. Pedro also informed us that we had to vacate the property the day after when we had no means to the Internet, phone, or understanding if the airport was even open. Power lines were down and phone reception wasn’t available. We couldn’t check flights or make arrangements for shelter when we were even willing to pay for the additional nights if needed. We were told to leave the property and had to find our own transportation when roads were closed and taxis couldn’t be called. Leaving us standing in the middle of the street with our children and luggage hoping a taxi would drive by. Completely unreasonable, unprofessional, and highly unethical. This was a traumatizing experience, and felt there was no help to keep the us safe or any other guests safe.
