Surprised this place is considered a 4 star hotel + all the 5 star reviews on Google. We booked two rooms with 2 people each, the system got it as 2 rooms and 2 people TOTAL. So when we got to the hotel we were hit with an extra PAX payment of $700 (for one person, I guess luckily our 4th person cancelled last minute). Without paying this, the third person would have not been allowed to be in the hotel. The buffet is mid, nothing special. They have “themed” nights every day but really it is the same food over and over. The buffet above the lobby has no AC, fans only so it can get pretty hot while in there. This is not on the hotel but some of the guests are just so eager to eat that it’s ridiculous how they act there. We witnessed a girl being denied entry because of her clothes, she was wearing shorts and a crop top, nothing different than what others were wearing. You call someone out for wearing a crop top but you don’t call out the nasty people wearing practically nothing but a bikini and their fat hanging out at the lunch buffet? Our room had a perfect location, but the bathroom had a window that wouldn’t close (I guess cause the AC doesn’t reach there) and the screen was broken. Our other room had roaches which they cleaned and sprayed after we told them. Other than that, the workers were very helpful and attentive, which is the only reason why I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 2. The bartenders by the pool were super cool and nice, just as the people working the buffet. Except Chrystian from Vacaciones Barcelo, get off your phone when someone is asking for questions/help.

This was our first experience in this hotel. We had a great time there. Their shows were very good, their food was great, their drinks were good, their activities were alright, their proximity to the beach was excellent, their pools were pretty good. We had some hiccups here and there, but their personal, more especially, their director, was excellent providing everything we needed; he made sure we were pleased and the situations we ran into were taken cared of. He even provided us with some special treats to make up for them. We would definitely stay there again. We recommend it. It is a great deal!

Disappointing First Day – Not the Experience We Hoped For This was supposed to be a special vacation — the first time we brought our mothers on an all-inclusive getaway as a family. Unfortunately, our experience so far has been very disappointing. From the moment we arrived, we encountered multiple issues. The air conditioning in our rooms is not working, and despite repeated requests, the staff has made it extremely difficult to change rooms. We are traveling as a family and requested rooms side-by-side, yet they have been unwilling to accommodate this, even after explaining our situation. To make matters worse, the process of changing rooms is unnecessarily inconvenient. We were told we had to check out of our original room by 12 PM, but can’t access the new room until 3 PM. During that time, we’re expected to have all our luggage packed and taken down to the main lobby, which is a hassle — especially when traveling with elderly family members. What made the situation even more frustrating was that we had to involve our airline representative just to get the resort to take our concerns seriously. That shouldn't have been necessary. We also requested a first-floor room due to my mother’s difficulty with stairs, but that request has not been accommodated either. Accessibility and comfort should be standard, especially in a resort that markets itself as family-friendly. We’re hoping things improve from here, but it’s been a rough and frustrating start to what was meant to be a relaxing family vacation.

Everything was simply incredible. The food was very good! Same menu for the breakfast buffet each morning, which was very good. Lunch time near the pool was also very nice. The supper buffet thematic change each day (mexican, italian, chinese, etc..). Overall, really great foody expérience. The staff was soo nice and caring. The only downside we had was that our Room Safe was not working upon arrival. But they sent someone to fix it under 10 minutes. The pool was clean and the beach is simply incredible. They cleaned the beach each morning to remove the seaweed, so it was always clear. The resort was not too crowded. It was ideal with a toddler. I would definitely come back! Gracias!

It's a really great place, I am writing this in english to get to the main target of this hotel, however I am Mexican. Before visiting I saw plenty of comments that waiters or service was poor for foreigners or even for Mexicans, so I was kinda bit confused and unsure of what to expect, but I think I received a really great service and treatment. The people is the kind of Mexican you should expect, they treat you great, and make you feel comfy. I also saw bad reviews because of the food, but it was really good, the only comment about that is that some needs extra salt, but all days for breakfast we saw the same dishes, but for lunch and dinner it was all different. The location is something to highlight, as well as the instalations, that were next to the ocean and the beach, which is really beautiful coming down of the room and seeing the Caribbean. Arriving is a bit dificult, as at the end of the day it's on a private and exclusive zone, so may rent a car to move through, or also to get to the Hotel, as the taxis cost may be too elevate. The only thing I think could be better was the restroom of our room, it was visible old and stains, as well as some curious odor in the room, but at the end of the day, most of the time was spent in the pool and the beach, so it was not a big issue. It has their own souvenir store, is expensive, but as it is in all stores in the tourist zones.
