I initially was super excited for my stay at Royalton Chic Antigua. The beautiful resort and great reviews I saw prior to July had me eagerly anticipating a wonderful vacation. The resort itself is stunning, with well-maintained grounds, luxurious amenities, and a picture-perfect beachfront setting.
One of the standout aspects of my stay was the incredible staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make guests feel welcome and comfortable.
Unfortunately, my experience was marred by several significant issues that detracted from what could have been a perfect vacation. Firstly, I spent the first two days of my trip sick from food poisoning, which was a major setback and certainly not what I had hoped for.
The resort frequently ran out of food and top-shelf alcohol. On multiple occasions, popular dishes and beverages were unavailable, leaving guests with limited options. The long wait times for room service and at the resort's restaurants were another major inconvenience. Many guests, including myself, found ourselves having to leave the resort to find food elsewhere due to these delays. It was disheartening to see that the resort was unable to meet the dining needs of its guests in a timely manner.
In addition, the on-site transportation was incredibly expensive, and the resort did not allow outside cab drivers to pick up guests, which left me feeling trapped.

Stayed at the property for two nights resort runs as a 3 star hotel , for breakfast I had asked for fresh juice they gave me packaged juice when I clearly mentioned I wanted fresh, , staff at breakfast area not helpful.
tried the Italian restaurant and steak house at the property food was horrible when I compare to the two nights I stayed at the Royalton Antigua they have same setup and similar menu at both properties Italian restaurant at steak house the beef I had ordered wasn’t even edible it tasted absolutely gross ,my sister and my mom tags didn’t work had a difficult time with it went over 5 times to the reception every single time we went and got in activated still the rooms wouldn’t open , I’m just comparing the service and quality of food and literally everything I would suggest everyone to go and stay at Royalton Antigua instead of Chic , literally everything was amazing over there

We stayed at the Royalton CHIC July 17-21 and upgraded to the Diamond Club. This was our niece's first time leaving Canada and it couldn't have been a nicer vacation for all of us. Our room was Ocean View and had two beds - it was plenty of room for the three of us. The food at every restaurant that we ate at was fresh and delicious. Upgrading to the Diamond Club gives you access to the Olympus restaurant which is a gorgeous place to have breakfast. Plus dinner at Pescari is included in that package - the food there is great and eating on the water like that is pretty magical. The Diamond Club also gives you access to another pool bar that has a good selection of more premium liquors including a full bottle for our room. The best part of this resort was the people working there. Everyone was so kind and genuinely seemed like they wanted to be there. The Vibe Team was wonderful - particularly Arjarnie. They really encouraged the fun. And the dancers! They were awesome.
I would disagree with anyone complaining about lack of food options - they have choices that fit all dietary needs and desires, especially at the buffets. For anyone complaining that the portions were small: this isn't America. Order another dish if you're still hungry. For anyone complaining about wait times at the restaurants: where else do you have to be? Sit back, enjoy another glass of wine! Vacations are meant to be relaxing - what's the rush?!
We cannot thank everyone enough for a great vacation.

This resort was absolutely amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning scenery, cleanliness, and the impeccable customer service. The resort had a wide range of activities to choose from, whether you wanted to relax by the pool, participate in entertainment events, explore the surrounding nature, etc. The food was always fresh and they had a wide variety of options and accommodations. Every person on the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The “vibe team” were always enthusiastic and entertaining. My personal favourite was Arjarnie, who always brought a smile to everyone’s faces due to his warm personality, enthusiasm and amazing sense of humour. Overall, my experience at this resort was nothing short of exceptional, and I will have to go back.

I recently celebrated my birthday at the Royalton Chic Antigua, and it was an unforgettable experience! The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views and well-maintained facilities that make for a perfect tropical getaway.
The food at the resort was immaculate, offering a variety of delicious dishes that catered to all tastes. However, the true highlight of my stay was the exceptional customer service. The staff were incredibly kind, accommodating, and genuinely caring, making me feel special throughout my entire visit. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond truly enhanced my experience.
The only downside was the limited restaurant availability. While I understand that restaurants can’t be open 24/7, there were times, like when I woke up late for breakfast, that my only option was the café with minimal choices. It would be great if there were more dining options available during off-peak hours.
Overall, I had a fantastic time at Royalton Chic Antigua and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and memorable vacation. Thank you for making my birthday so special!
