Jan 31-Feb 10th stayed in Overwater water bungalow. Room was great! Perfect for relaxing and watching everything from your own private deck, that you jump right into the ocean and with infinitely pool. Disappointment was hammock was broken. But great location you can sit and relax or it's just a short walk to other pools and bars with more going on. Butlers were good and helpful with dinner, excursions, etc but I wish I didn't have ask them every day to restock bar and snacks or ice for room. Food and entertainment I thought was good. Was not impressed with special over water dinner location that you had to pay extra. We have traveled to 7 other caribbean islands and find this was one of our top locations but it was also more expensive but wife and I really enjoyed. Few issues, said transfer to and from airport was included but we ended up paying for a taxi to and from the airport! The other thing was at the entrance was this lighted sign with music playing and young girls in leather outfits that didn't cover much dancing around sign! Sorry but reminded me of some late 80's strip club girls girls! Didn't give me the impression we were going to 5 star hotel.

We had a really beautiful time in Antigua, and I want to start by highlighting the amazing staff members who truly made parts of this trip special. Our butlers: Kurt, Rowan, Rae-Hanna, and Nicholas were absolutely incredible. Attentive, kind, professional, and always making sure we were taken care of. They are truly an asset to the resort. Shoutout to our favorite bartenders Joseph and Marlin who kept us lit and hydrated with great energy and top-tier service. The vibe team at the pool was fun and engaging, and Yoan made sure we were always stocked and comfortable. Also, Daniel, the yoga instructor, was phenomenal peaceful, grounding, and such a great way to start the day. The food was great, we really enjoyed both the buffet and the steakhouse. Antigua itself is stunning, and the resort has so much potential. Unfortunately, the customer service and policies around our group booking really fell short, especially for what’s positioned as a luxury resort. The Royalton CHIC website clearly states that guests who book directly with the resort receive complimentary round-trip airport transportation. However, because we booked as a group of 20, we were told this incentive did not apply. I’ve never experienced a luxury hotel or resort where groups receive less than individual bookings, typically it’s the opposite. What made this worse was that the sales team claimed this was communicated “from inception,” yet it was not stated in any emails, texts, or our contract. There was also no solution offered. Ultimately, we found our own independent driver, who was more affordable, more accommodating, and easier to work with than the resort’s. Additionally, we experienced a sudden and tragic death in our family the Monday before we arrived. Even after providing news articles and an obituary, the hotel still required one of my cousins to pay for two people in a single room. The lack of compassion and flexibility during such a sensitive moment was extremely disappointing. There were also operational issues: * One evening we had no butler, and despite calling for towels, we didn’t receive them until the following afternoon when housekeeping arrived. * There is no easy way to access cash on the resort, and guests are expected to travel into town. Even then, cash advances seemed inconsistently approved. Overall, while the staff on the ground (especially butlers, bartenders, and instructors) were phenomenal (the 3 stars I gave were for them), the group sales team, policies, and customer service response significantly impacted our experience. We will absolutely return to Antigua, but we will likely stay elsewhere next time.

I stayed in this resort for 6 days in the diamond club room. Rm 6403! Resort and beach is beautiful but I can’t say the same for the customers service, atmosphere and food here. I went on a girls trip my experience here was disappointing. I had high hopes but I was let down so bad! Let’s start with the customer service at the resort. Their staff especially the women are super rude and lazy and so nonchalant . I only had a good experience with my concierge Nickesha. Others lack basic courtesy and warmth you seek when you travel to these places. You great them and they give you a dirty look sizing you up to know how you can afford the diamond club room. The room had dirty towels that smelled like pee, ripped towels, dirty linens. The food! The only restaurant that was good was havens grill and the food truck. The buffet was terrible ! Food was always cold yuck! Some of the male workers are so gross catcalling and looking lustfully at some of us and making sexual advances at us. I guess because we are black?? How rude! We were very uncomfortable walking past some areas and dark places because we didn’t feel safe. There was 3 power outages during our stay that lasted over 1 hour each time. The first time we were sitting right in front of the lobby but no one from the lobby had the sense to address their guest and let us know what is going on. They stayed behind the desk laughing at us freaking out. They not only lack courtesy, they lack common sense. From the bad customer service to sexual advances, to bad food, to denial of food etc So many other things to mention but BEWARE GOING TO THIS RESORT. ITS EXPENSIVE AND NOT IT AG ALL!! I will not be going back to Antigua!

Syana from the vibe team is amazing! Shoutout to Kourtney & Johnny too! The three of them were a highlight of our trip. They made our vacation interactive and fun with the poolside games and conversations. If you are lucky enough to meet them, you will know. We did have some service issues at the different restaurants and bars. I wouldn’t recommend the paid restaurant, Pescari. We had a group of 9 and our food came out cold and didn’t have the drinks we ordered. The restaurant is portrayed as a luxury seafood spot, but there weren’t many seafood options on the menu. They also had dancers and a dj which took away from the overwater ambience. Overall, we had a great time with our group. The beach was beautiful and easily accessible. The poolside cabana was a great time and the massage/spa amenities were very nice.

Our 5-day stay at Royalton CHIC Antigua was unfortunately one of the most disappointing resort experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was chaotic and poorly managed. There was little communication, long wait times, and no sense of urgency from staff to resolve issues. After traveling, this was not the welcome we expected from a resort marketed as premium and adults-only luxury. The issues continued throughout our stay. We experienced multiple power outages — some lasting over an hour — which disrupted dinners, evening routines, and even sleep. There was minimal communication during these outages. No proactive updates. No reassurance. Guests were left in the dark — literally and figuratively. Room service was equally frustrating. Calls often went unanswered. When orders were taken, they were significantly delayed or incorrect. On more than one occasion, we had to follow up multiple times with no clear resolution. For a resort of this price point, basic service standards were not met. The overall attitude of many staff members felt dismissive and unprofessional. While we encountered a few polite individuals, consistency in hospitality was lacking. There seemed to be little accountability or urgency in addressing guest concerns. What makes this especially disappointing is that the property itself has potential. The aesthetics are beautiful. However, the operational failures, poor communication, repeated power disruptions, and lack of customer service made this stay far below expectations. Given the premium pricing, we expected a seamless luxury experience — not constant inconveniences and service breakdowns. Management seriously needs to address these operational and customer service issues. Until then, I would not recommend this resort.
